Introduction
This game is basically a re-release of the Nintendo Wii exclusive Family Game Night 2 and the 360/PS3 game Family Game Night 3. This release includes 10 games: Jenga, Pictureka, Connect 4x4, Bop It, Operation, Mouse Trap, Clue, Twister, The Game of Life and Yahtzee Hands Down.

The game is relatively easy yet a little time consuming, which is why the difficulty is low. All but the Yahtzee! achievement can be unlocked locally with multiple controllers. For Yahtzee!, the game defaults to Remix mode if you use more than one controller, so you have to play against the AI in Original mode if you want to unlock it locally. It can be earned online if you can find someone to boost with.

Step 1: Family Game Show and High Score Mania Achievements
Each Game Show game takes approximately 20 minutes (you have to play with two players), so that’s about four hours for 12 games. The High Score Mania games (which are only single player) can take up to three hours to complete or sooner if you’re lucky.

Step 2: Family Game Night 2 Games
Three of the five games in Family Game Night 2 were released as DLC for the original Family Game Night arcade title. They are Jenga, Pictureka and Connect 4x4. This game adds Bop It and Operation. While the achievements are different than the original DLC ones, they are in fact easier to earn as you really only have to play and win 20 games of each game (15 with Pictureka). There are a few random achievements for Bop It and Operation, but nothing too hard.

Step 3: Family Game Night 3 Games
Every achievement for the Family Game Night 3 portion is taken directly from the original release. There’s nothing different here. If you earned them in the original release, you can earn them here. The five games included in this part of the game are The Game of Life, Clue, Mouse Trap, Yahtzee Hands Down and Twister.

The achievements they picked for this release are probably the easiest ones to unlock from the original game. What’s also good about this release is you don’t have to grind and play 10 of each game as in the original game. But, you do at least have to play six games of each to unlock all the Plaza Building Parts, five games of each to unlock all the Costumes and Plaza Statues, and one game of each to unlock all the Plaza Mascots. Luckily, they can be quick games against other controllers to make them go by a lot quicker.

Step 4: Completion
If you followed the Roadmap for Step 3, you should have completed all the requirements to unlock the achievements for all the Costumes (Potato Party), Statues (Oh So Shiny), Building Parts (It's a Beautiful World) and Mascots (Plaza Party). After you unlock those (and all the achievements from Steps 1 and 2), the Game Night God achievement should unlock. Congratulations on another 1000!

[x360a would like to thank bLaKgRaVy for this road map]

BOP IT™ Maniac30
Completed 100 BOP IT™ actions in a row without a mistake (in Singleplayer and Passing Play modes). (3)

Start up a game of Bop It Original. Before you choose the game type, press to go to the Settings and choose either “Vox Bop” or “Color Bop” for the Action Mode. There are only four actions with each (see below). Also, if playing with more than one player, choose “Passing Play”. Those are the only two modes you can unlock this achievement; single player or Passing Play.

After some practice you will memorize each action since there are only four. You have only one to two seconds in between each action, so you have to be quick. The music increases in tempo the higher you go, but the time between each move doesn’t. Successfully perform 100 of these actions in a row without missing one and the achievement will unlock.

It is easier if you don’t look at the screen while you do this. Look at this list and when the announcer says each action, you will already be looking at the list of actions. I found that much easier.

Note: This achievement is easier to unlock in Original mode since Remix mode adds five more actions into the mix, making it a total of nine to memorize. Original mode only has four actions.

Vox Bop:

  • Bop It: Click
  • Twist It: Hold and rotate clockwise (you must first push in a direction and then rotate; the in-game manual shows up-diagonal-left then rotate, but I found you can push in any direction)
  • Pull It: Hold and push down
  • Shout It: Push up

Color Bop:

  • White: Click
  • Yellow: Hold and rotate clockwise (you must first push in a direction and then rotate; the in-game manual shows up-diagonal-left then rotate, but I found you can push in any direction)
  • Blue: Hold and push down
  • Green: Push up
Game Show Winner15
Won 1 Game Show.

Refer to Game Show Master.

Game Show Master30
Won 12 Game Shows.

One game takes approximately 20 minutes to play. You must win each game, but they don’t have to be consecutive.

You have to play with at least two players. You can’t play online, so it has to be local on the same console. Choose “Quick Rounds”. For this, you will have to only play a minimum of 8 rounds (if one player wins every single round; more if you don’t). You take turns spinning the wheel to choose one of the five games to play. There are some rounds where you can nudge the wheel (by pressing and ). Use this to try and pick your favorite game. Both players can nudge if a number and arrows show next to their name.

To win easily, just have Player 2 do nothing when both players are playing at the same time, and intentionally mess up if you take turns. That way, Player 1 is guaranteed to win the round, which will make the game go by much quicker.

After you complete all four zones, there is a “Final Countdown” round. The winner of that wins the game (regardless who won all the previous rounds). The achievement will unlock upon winning your 12th game.

Play Through All Games30
Played all High Score Mania games.

There are 25 games to play total. Each High Score Mania game randomly chooses 10 to play, so you may be playing the same games after a while. Below is a checklist of the games you can cross off when you complete them. They are:

Score Master30
Accumulated 1000 score in High Score Mania.

Refer to Score Maniac.

Score Maniac45
Accumulated 1500 score in High Score Mania.

Play the High Score Mania game. This has to be done with one controller. Each game chooses 10 random games out of 25 for you to play. Each game has a target score of either 50 or 100 that if you reach or surpass it, you get a multiplier (this changes every time you play). If you don’t get that score, you lose the multiplier completely. Try to at least attain the target score for each game to get a score of at least 1500. If you’re good, you should get this in a couple of games. Once you reach the targeted score in the description, the achievement will unlock.

CONNECT 4 X 4™ Winner15
Won a game of Original CONNECT 4 X 4™.

Play and win a game of Connect 4x4 Original. You can use multiple controllers (best if you use four so there aren’t any AI players to mess you up). Before you choose the game type, press to go to the Settings and change “Rounds” to “First to win 1”. If you want things to move a little faster, have other controllers purposely not connect four pieces.

CONNECT 4 X 4™ Remix Winner15
Won a game of CONNECT 4 X 4™ Remix.

Play and win a game of Connect 4x4 Remix. You can use multiple controllers (best if you use four so there aren’t any AI players to mess you up). Before you choose the game type, press to go to the Settings and change “Game End” to “25 points”. With this setting, you will have to get three Connect 4’s (at 10 points each). If you want things to move a little faster, have the other controllers purposely not connect four pieces.

CONNECT 4 X 4™ Master30
Won 20 games of CONNECT 4 X 4™ (any game type).

Play and win 20 games of Connect 4x4 Original or Remix. You can use multiple controllers (best if you use four so there aren’t any AI players to mess you up). Before you choose the game type, press to go to the Settings and change “Rounds” to “First to win 1”. If you want things to move a little faster, have other controllers purposely not connect four pieces. Wins do not have to be consecutive. This achievement will take approximately 25 minutes (20 games at one minute each plus load times).

JENGA® Winner15
Won a game of Original JENGA® (multi-player only).

Play and win a game of Jenga Original. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Rounds” to “1 Round”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller purposely knock over the tower.

JENGA® Remix Winner15
Won a game of JENGA® Remix (multi-player only).

Play and win a game of Jenga Remix. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Rounds” to “1 Round”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller purposely knock over the tower.

JENGA® Master30
Won 20 games of JENGA® (Original or Remix).

Play and win 20 games of Jenga Original or Remix (Original is faster). Despite the description not saying “multi-player”, this has to be done with two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Rounds” to “1 Round”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller purposely knock over the tower. You must have at least placed one block and scored to win, otherwise the game will end in a draw. Wins do not have to be consecutive. This achievement will take approximately 45 minutes (20 games at two minutes each plus load times).

There are two ways to win depending on which player starts first:

  • Player 1 starts - Have Player 1 place a block on the top of the tower. Then have Player 2 purposely either miss the stack entirely or cause the tower to tumble.
  • Player 2 starts - Have Player 2 place a block on the top of the tower. Then have Player 1 also place a block on the top of the tower. When it’s Player 2’s turn again, have them purposely either miss the stack entirely or cause the tower to tumble.
PICTUREKA™ Winner15
Won a game of Original PICTUREKA™ (multi-player only).

Play and win a game of Pictureka Original. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Game End” to “3 cards”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller not do anything when it is their turn. Clicking on the wrong picture or letter makes time expire quicker.

PICTUREKA™ Remix Winner15
Won a game of PICTUREKA™ Remix (multi-player only).

Play and win a game of Pictureka Remix. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Game End” to “3 cards”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller not do anything when it is their turn. Clicking on the wrong picture or letter makes time expire quicker.

PICTUREKA™ Master30
Won 15 games of PICTUREKA™ (any game type, multi-player only).

Play and win 15 games of Pictureka Original or Remix. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Game End” to “3 cards”. If you want things to move a little faster, have the second controller not do anything when it is their turn. Clicking on the wrong picture or letter also makes time expire quicker. Wins do not have to be consecutive. This achievement will take approximately 45 minutes to one hour (15 games at 3-4 minutes each plus load times).

OPERATION™ Winner15
Won a game of OPERATION™ (any game type, multi-player only).

Play and win a game of Operation Original. You have to use at least two controllers. Before you start, press to go to the Settings and change “Game End” to “5 minutes”. To win, have the second controller purposely not extract the Funatomy part to score or let time expire after Player 1 scores. Player 1 must score at least once or the game will end in a draw.

OPERATION™ Master15
Won 20 games of OPERATION™ (any game type).

Play and win 20 games of Operation Original (quicker than Remix). Despite the description not saying “multi-player”, this has to be done with two controllers. The quickest way to win a game is to set a time limit to 5 minutes. To win, have Player 1 extract one a Funatomy part and then wait out the time. Have Player 2 do nothing so Player 1 wins by default. The only downside is that each game takes 5 minutes. Player 1 must score at least once or the game will end in a draw. Wins do not have to be consecutive. This achievement will take approximately two hours (20 games at five minutes each plus load times).

OPERATION™ Maniac30
Successfully completed all the OPERATION™ mini-games. (2)

Minigames are only available in Operation Remix. You must complete each minigame (five in all) in the time given without failing to have them count as successfully completed. If you fail before time expires, you have not completed the minigame.

It would be best to play a 15 minute game depending on how quick you are. The minigames seem to come up every other extraction, but it varies. With a 5 minute game, you could do two minigames definitely, possibly a third, but extend the time before you start just to make sure you get each one.

  • The Germinator: Shoot the germs before they infect Cavity Sam.
    • Use to move and or to shoot the germs.
      • Wait until the germs grow to make them easier to shoot. If you shoot and miss, the red thermometer goes up. It gets kind of hairy as time is about to expire.
  • Prepare the Patient: Swab away germs before they infect Cavity Sam.
    • Use to swab away the germs that show up.
      • Just keep moving around swabbing away the white foam since that’s where the germs grow. The more foam, the more germs there are. You must not have any germs on the screen as time expires. If there are when time expires, even though the thermometer isn’t completely red, you haven’t won the minigame.
  • Panic Pulse: Calm Sam’s pulse by matching his beats. Faster reflexes score more.
    • Press , , or move up and down quickly when prompted.
      • Even if you miss pressing a few buttons, it’s hard to fail this minigame.
  • Balancing Act: Keep the needle in the green.
    • Move left and right to keep the needle in the green.
      • Move one way, and when the needle starts to go out of the green area, move the other way. Just repeat these actions.
  • Oxygen Dash: Get the oxygen to the patient, fast!
    • Move up and down quickly. Simple.

The first three listed above come up randomly before you extract a Funatomy part. There is a thermometer on the left hand side of the screen. To win the minigame, the thermometer must not completely turn red. If it does, you’ve failed. If time expires before the thermometer completely turns red, a “+50” appears where the clock was at the bottom of the screen letting you know you’ve completed it successfully (with the exception of Prepare the Patient; see above).

The last two, Balancing Act and Oxygen Dash, only come up if you’ve failed to extract the Funatomy part during your first try. The Panic Pulse minigame is also known to come up if you fail to extract a part. When you fail, you will get one of these three minigames to complete. Succeed in the minigame and you will get another chance at extraction. Fail the minigame and the entire operation is a failure.

You do not have to successfully complete all of the minigames in one Remix game. You can complete them over multiple games.

BOP IT™ Winner15
Played BOP IT™ Remix, and played all the extra actions.

Start a single player game of Bop It Remix. Before you choose the game type, press to go to the Settings and choose either “Vox Bop” or “Color Bop” for the Action Mode. Then start the game.

Playing Remix adds five more actions for a total of nine. They are random in placement so you have to be quick. Play long enough to successfully perform all five extra actions and the achievement will unlock.

Vox Bop:

  • Bop It: Click
  • Twist It: Hold and rotate clockwise (you must first push in a direction and then rotate)
  • Pull It: Hold and push down
  • Shout It: Push up

Color Bop:

  • White: Click
  • Yellow: Hold and rotate clockwise (you must first push in a direction and then rotate)
  • Blue: Hold and push down
  • Green: Push up

  • Flick It: Keep pressing &
  • Spin It: Hold and rotate clockwise (you must first push in a direction and then rotate)
  • Shake It: Move left and right
  • Box It: Keep pressing &
  • Freeze: Hold until it unfreezes

Refer to Bop-It Maniac for tips.

Living the life15
Win 1 game of original THE GAME OF LIFE™.

Play and win a two-player quick game of The Game of Life Original. This game will end in five turns. To give yourself a better chance at winning, try the following:

  • Select the "Career" route (don't take the "College Career" path)
  • Take the highest paying job you can
  • Keep trying to roll high numbers to get to the bonus spaces faster
  • Try to get points on your wedding dance
  • Buy a house that gives you more in resale value (don't buy a mobile home)
  • Retire to Millionaire's Estate and pick the $50,000 life card (don't retire to Countryside)

Basically, have Player 2 do the opposite of Player 1 (you). Once you have won, the achievement will unlock. This achievement will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Top of the world15
Be a Doctor and own the Mansion House in THE GAME OF LIFE™. (2)

Play a two-player full game (not quick game) and have your player choose the “College Career” path and become a Doctor before moving on (if you don't get this career choice, then restart the game and try again). Later on in the game you'll get a chance to buy a second house. Complete the ‘House Hunting’ mini-game so that the Mansion is an option for you and then buy it. The achievement will unlock immediately after. You do not have to finish the game. This achievement will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

On patrol30
Be a Police Officer and bust another player for speeding in THE GAME OF LIFE™.

Play a two-player game (full or quick game) and have your player choose the “Career” path and become a Police Officer (if you don't get this career choice, then restart the game and try again). Upon becoming a Police Officer, continue playing and hope that the other player spins a 10. Once they do, you will "bust them for speeding" and the achievement will unlock. You do not have to finish the game. This achievement will take approximately 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your luck at spinning (you can get this in a quick game while going for Living the Life).

In the Groove15
Win 1 game of original TWISTER™.

Play and win a two-player quick game of Twister Original. Since the second controller won’t be doing anything, no matter how badly you do, you will win and unlock the achievement. This achievement will take approximately 2 minutes.

Mad Skills15
Score over 90% in a game of original TWISTER™.

See The Beautiful Dance for the game setup and which buttons to press. There are 42 buttons total. You have to press 38 or more correctly to get above 90%. In other words, you can’t miss more than four, but they go slow enough so it’s possible you won’t miss any. If you do, you have to start a new game. This achievement will take approximately 2 minutes.

The Beautiful Dance30
Score Perfect in any game of original TWISTER™.

Start a one-player quick game of Twister Original. Make sure that you press every button throughout the entire round, as you can not miss any (including freestyle).

Pressing the buttons when they are in the middle of the "hit area" (the middle circle of five circles) will give you maximum points:

The game will make a red "halo" animation, letting you know you hit perfect for that note:

Perfect score for a quick game is 22,600, and for a full game it’s 45,000. Below are the button commands for a quick game.

Choose: Quick Game, Music Genre: Pop, Music Track: Dreamer

The series of buttons are:
1st Group -
2nd Group -
* Freestyle -

3rd Group -
4th Group -
* Freestyle -

5th Group -
6th Group -

* Freestyle - any combo really, can be if timed correctly.

Once you complete a round with a perfect score, the achievement will unlock. This achievement will take approximately 2 minutes (if done on the first try; otherwise can take a while).

Elementary15
Win 1 game of original CLUE™/CLUEDO.

Refer to Clued up.

Clued up30
Win a game of CLUE™/CLUEDO with only 2 items identified on your clue sheet.

Play and win a four-player quick game of Clue Original. After the game starts, look at everyone's hint list (press on each controller when it is that player’s turn) and write down who has what checked off (marked by an X). After each player takes a turn, eliminate the items with X's beside them in each of the other player's lists.

All but one character should be on everyone’s list, making that character the murderer. Sometimes, there’s more than one weapon and/or room left to be revealed, but it’s usually not more than one of two weapons/rooms. Use the other players to find all the clues (by talking to the six characters and playing the ‘Critical Evidence’ mini-game for each character). This will reveal either the weapon used or the room the crime took place in.

Now that you have two definite clues, build up your Rumor Points (by landing on a “?” [question mark] space). When it is filled, you will be able to make a guess on who the murderer is, where it took place and with what weapon. Since you know two for sure, don’t pick one of them for your guess. For example, if you know Mrs. White committed the murder with the candlestick, but not sure in what room it took place in; don’t choose Mrs. White (or the candlestick). Purposely choose the incorrect one. Then make your best guess as to which room the crime took place in. That way, if you are correct in guessing the right room, you have only two items identified on your clue sheet, and you know for sure the third clue. If you guess incorrectly (and it was only one of two rooms), then build your Rumor Points up again and make another guess, choosing the other room or the character/weapon you know is correct. Make sure you only choose two definite clues; if all three are correct, then you have to start a new game.

When you are sure of the three clues, have your player (the host) enter the Pool Room (in the middle of board) and make your accusation.

An Eye for Detail15
Get a maximum score on any CLUE™/CLUEDO minigame.

These are only found in Clue Original, not Remix. When you land on a "?" (question mark) square on the game board, a random mini-game is played. Just get the maximum score (everything correct) on any of them and the achievement will unlock. The easiest one is Fingerprint Analysis game. All you have to do is press when the brush passes by the fingerprints; easy enough to get all three. The mini-games are:

  • Scene Sweep: Search the scene of the crime for a weapon. The more weapons you find, the more rumor points you earn.
  • Case Notes: Pick the green folders and avoid the red herrings. Pick all six folders to earn more rumor points.
  • Fingerprint Analysis: Match the correct fingerprints with the brush as it moves up and down the records.

You can get all three Clue achievements in approximately 25-30 minutes.

Cheesy15
Win 1 game of original MOUSE TRAP™.

Play and win a two-player quick game (with no computer A.I.) of Mouse Trap Original and win. Simply trap the second player one time to get the win.

Pied Piper15
Successfully trap another player using cheese in MOUSE TRAP™.

This can only be unlocked during an Original game, not a Remix game.

Start a four-player game (a two player game with no computer A.I. also works) and play until you get at least two of the players near the cheese wheel. You have to land on the red space to turn the crank while there isn’t any other player on the cheese wheel. If you have cheese, it will ask you to select a person to try to move on to the cheese wheel by rolling the die. If what you roll moves them onto the cheese wheel, you will get to turn the crank, at which point, the achievement will unlock. You can get this while going for Cheesy.

Of the 8 times I played this game mode going for this achievement (yes, 8), whenever someone was close to the cheese wheel and another player landed on the crank space, I chose the person closest and the die *always* rolled the exact amount of spaces for that person to land on the cheese wheel (if they were within 6 spaces). Just make sure that it’s not your player, because there is no way to not turn the crank if your player lands on the cheese wheel!

Da Mouse-Vinci30
Build one type of each of the 5 trap types in a single game of remix MOUSE TRAP™.

Start a two-player full game (with no computer A.I.) of Mouse Trap Remix. You must build one of each of the five different trap types before the game ends. Make sure you set the traps right in front of where both players are on the board to have them get caught in every trap along the way so they lose cheese and extended your time frame for getting this one (both Player 1 and Player 2).

This can be frustrating as the game ends as soon as someone completes their cheese wheel, which can be done very quickly if they land on the right spots. With two or more human players and no AI, it's pretty simple to get the game to last longer; just have all players just intentionally mess up dodging the traps every time and it's almost impossible for anyone to fill up their cheese wheel. Also, it helps to have the dummy profile/second player signed in on controller one and the gamertag trying for the achievement signed in on controller two. Somehow, it makes it easier to land on the trap-setting spaces that way, which will unlock the achievement faster.

Once you've built all five of the different trap types, the achievement will unlock.

You can get all three Mouse Trap achievements in approximately 45-60 minutes.

Yahtzee!15
Win 1 game of original YAHTZEE HANDS DOWN™.

Play and win a game of Yahtzee Hands Down Original. You can’t use multiple controllers. If you do, the game defaults to Remix, and you won’t be able to earn this achievement. This has to be done against the AI locally.

You can try boosting online for this achievement. You will be able to play Original mode online with multiple players. Or, keep doing Original quick games locally against the AI and call Hands Down as quickly and as often as you can. This one takes a bit of patience and luck.

To get rid of unwanted cards, press on the ones you don't want and then .
To go Hands Down, press & together.

This achievement can take one quick game (5 minutes) or many quick games. It’s really luck based on what cards you draw. It took me about 5 games to unlock this achievement.

Combo Lord15
Win 4 Combo Cards in any game of YAHTZEE HANDS DOWN™.

Refer to Combo King.

Combo King30
Win 6 Combo Cards in any game of YAHTZEE HANDS DOWN™.

If playing this game locally with multiple controllers, it defaults to Remix mode, but you are still able to earn this achievement in this game type. Otherwise, you can try boosting this achievement online if you want to play Original mode. This solution is for the multiple controller method.

Keep in mind that each Remix game is timed (4:00 for quick game and 8:00 for full game), and while it will take some practice, you should unlock both of these achievements in time. They’re certainly not difficult, but it takes a few games to understand the rules. A full game with four controllers is recommended.

The concept of this game is very simple: there is a combo in the middle of the screen. What you need to do is get that combo with the cards in your hand so you can earn a combo card.

For instance, if the combo is a “Four-of-a-Kind”, you must get that in your hand, but, all the numbers must be of the same color (red, yellow or purple). There are wild cards (which count for any number of that specific color) and other number cards, either with multiple colors on them (that card can be used for any color) or with multiple numbers on them (1/6, 2/5, 3/4), so if you are going for 2’s and you pick a 2/5 card, it can be used, provided it is of the same color you are going for.

Have each of the other controllers discard one of their cards quickly to “skip” their turns, only focusing on getting the required combo for Player 1. Note that it does not have to be your turn to go Hands Down.

If you get a Yahtzee or a Large Straight early on, go ahead and quit the game and retry it. Those can take up a lot of time off the clock, so try to get them last. If you can, get a few “Three-of-a-Kinds” thrown in there early and get them done in a minute or so, it shouldn't be that much trouble to get six combos.

These two achievements can take one full game (8 minutes) or many full games. It’s really luck based on what cards you draw. It took me about an hour to unlock both achievements.
