Introduction:
F.E.A.R Files is the second F.E.A.R to be released on the Xbox360. It is a first person shooter and the graphics are not the best but the gameplay makes up for it. The achievements in this game are mostly skill based and will require some practice.

Step 1: Single Player - Extraction Point
There are two campaigns in this game Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate. First do the Extraction then the Perseus Mandate. Now before you start the game print the Extraction Point Booster & Phone Locations. These are all in order and if you collect them all you will earn two achievements at the end. Start a new game on the easiest difficulty and collect all Boosters and phones and kill all enemies for Achievement Boost, Fear My Wrath, Take a Message, andNo Batteries. For the No Batteries achievement you must complete the Extraction point without letting the flashlight run down; best method is to use a flickering method to just see what is in front of you. Also make sure you pick up the weapon achievements Laser Showoff andMinigun Marauder. Once you have completed the game once start a new game on Extreme and make sure you take it slow and abuse the slow-mo and grenades. Only use your healthpack when your health is red. It will take you some time to beat the game but use the tips in the Achievement Guide and you will be okay.

Step 2: Single Player - Persues Mandate
This is the easier of the two campaigns. First you need to print out the
Perseus Mandate Booster/Phone/Laptop Guide. I would suggest doing your first playthrough on Extreme since this campaign is straight forward and there are not any hard enemies you have to fight. On the way make sure you pick up these weapon achievements High-Tech Hitman, An Advanced Arsenal, The Bouncing Boom, and kill enemies with every weapon in the campaign for Arms Master. Once you complete the game in Extreme you should have all the achievements for this campaign if you missed anything YOU MUST START A NEW GAME, so make sure you pick up everything.

Step 3: Instant Action
These are the hardest achievements in the game and they will be the most time consuming. First beat all maps on easy for Instant Gratification and on the way you will earn Action Initiate. Then once you are familiar with the maps load up Clinic on Extreme and complete it for Action Veteran. Now it is time for Glutton for Punishment, the hardest achievement, this will take time and patience. What I did was I did a map on easy then the next difficulty then Hard then Extreme and then did the next map. The enemies spawn in the same spots and once you memorize where they spawn you will do fine.

Step 4: Multiplayer
These achievements are very easy. First step is to find 3 partners in the Achievement Trading Thread. Then just boost all the online achievements and they are all very easy to obtain.

Step 5: Mop Up
If you still do not have achievements in a campaign or Instant action then you will have to start a new game for a campaign or just replay a level for Instant Action.

Conclusion:
F.E.A.R Files is actually quite a tough 1000 and will require a lot of skill and patience. But once you are familiar with the game it will get easier to do the achievements.

[x360a would like to thank A 2rue boofer for this Road Map]

Instant Gratification20
Complete all Instant Action maps on any difficulty in any order.
I suggest just doing this before preparing for the Glutton for Punishment cheeve, it's good to warm up and get familiar with the maps before going extreme, this can be done on low.
Glutton for Punishment55
Complete all Instant Action maps on Extreme difficulty in any order. (1)
Probably the hardest achievement, this will take dedication and practice and it will unlock the instant gratification cheeve, I have a guide up on the forum -http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=44926
Entering Desolation30
Complete the Extraction Point campaign through “Holiday”.
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Confronting the Leviathans30
Complete the Extraction Point campaign through “The L”.
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Living in Fear60
Complete the Extraction Point campaign.
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Mastery of Fear75
Complete the Extraction Point campaign on Extreme.
A pretty tough cheeve, this will also take a lot of time and dedication, if you are having trouble try it on a lower difficulty first. Just remember that leaning and slo mo are your best friends. I advise not using shotgun very often or any other weapons that take either a lot of bullets or a lot of time to kill enemies. Always try to stay in areas where you cannot be flanked because the AI will flank you and F..k you...This should be easier than beating the Perseus Mandate on extreme, or at least in my opinion it was easier because there are no elites and really tough boss battles. Here is a weapon guide too if you wonder what you should be using, http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=45028
Achievement Boost40
Find all the health and slo-mo boosters in the Extraction Point campaign.
See "Take a Message".
No Batteries15
Complete the Extraction Point campaign without letting the flashlight run down.
Simple, a cheeve that might scare you guys a bit but all you have to do is not let the flashlight run ALL the way down until it shuts off, you can still use your flashlight. I used a flickering technique to save battery, just switch it on real quick to see what you need and turn it off. The main thing is just not forgetting that it's on.
Fear My Wrath55
Kill every enemy in the Extraction Point campaign.
Also simple, Just don't leave any areas without killing everything. If AI allies kill them don't worry, if ghosts hit you, don't worry. I got this on extreme because you really can't afford to run by or leave any enemies left because they can kill you so easily. Leave none alive....
Take a Message15
Answered all the phones in the Extraction Point campaign. (2)
Interval 01 - Contamination

Phone #1: In the office adjacent to the previous booster… “It’s me. I can’t make lunch…”

5. (Reflex 2) Go straight through the garage door that little Alma opens for you. Jump on the trailer in front of you and look behind the red grenade boxes at the far end.

6. (Reflex 3) Head up some stairs from a loading area into a break room with one red (Coldsnapp) and one green (Zapp Burst) soda machine. Go up the stairs next to these soda machines into a dark kitchen and look to your right.

Ambush, Part 2:
Phone #2: After you destroy your first wall turret, enter the room on the left and it’s to your immediate left…”I’m waiting for you (whisper).”

7. (Health 4, 120) In the back of an armored truck (with turrets and medical kits) in the area where you’ll make a stand against a large number of enemies.

Interval 03 - Descent

13. (Reflex 5) You’ll pass a repeating cannon next to a ladder. Descend the ladder and in the next room with dark green water below, look down from the catwalk to the back right corner for the green glow. Use the ladder to get down and back up.

The L, Part 2:
14. (Health 9, 145) You arrive above the subway with enemies below and one on top of the left subway car. Look in the right subway car.

15. (Reflex 6) Next to Health 9.

Interval 04 - Malice
Leviathan, Part 1: None

Leviathan, Part 2:
Phone #4: At the very start on the desk to your left… “Jon, What’s happening?...”

Phone #5: After the man ghost (not young Alma) says, “Hurry!” look in the room to the left of where he was standing before going through the double doors. It’s on the desk… “Jenny, It’s Jon. Stay where you are…”

Phone # 6: Cross the last center gap in the high room. Check the desk cubicles where enemies attack you at your level and above you on the balcony… “Hi sweetheart, I-I’m just checking in.”

Interval 05 - Extraction Point
Malignancy, Part 1:
16. (Health 10, 150) Climb the ladder up in the elevator shaft to find a booster, armor and minigun.

Malignancy, Part 2:
17. (Reflex 7) (see note). Look in room 56B and carefully open the orange hazard container on the left for the booster inside. Don’t shoot the booster. (This room is across the hall from a room where a body is yanked up through the ceiling and a vent you must enter.)
Note: Check all unlocked patient rooms for the orange containers. I only found one booster in these rooms and still unlocked the achievement. Other players claim there are more boosters, so be thorough in your search here.

18. (Relfex 8) After you come to a stock room with medkits, guns and grenades, go into the next room. A red-eye ghost will attack from the right. In this room check the dark corner for a biohazard container on the floor. Walk up to it and see your reflex meter grow.

19. (Health 11, 155) You fight two heavy troopers and then another minigun. Check the desk on the left when you enter the doors that were opened by the trooper with the minigun.

Dark Heart:
20. (Reflex 8) On your way out, after you see the Alma spirits walk to the blue flame, you’ll see the yellow booster in front of a cart in plain site.
-Achievements unlock after the credits start to roll.

Interval 06 - Epilogue
Epilogue: None
Laser Showoff15
Kill 30 enemies with the Type-12 Laser Carbine.
Don't worry about this one, just pick up the weapon whenever possible and use your ammo wisely on enemies. There are definitely enough chances to get this though. Any difficulty. Note - I do not know if it can be done in multiplayer, since it says just kill enemies and it does not specify if it must be in campaign, you might as well do it in campaign anyways.
Minigun Marauder15
Kill 30 enemies with the TG-2A Minigun.
This weapon appears very often and you should be able to mow down 30 enemies with it easily on any difficulty. Note - I do not know if it can be done in multiplayer, since it says just kill enemies and it does not specify if it must be in campaign, you might as well do it in campaign anyways.
Control Freak15
Capture 25 control points in ranked Control matches. (2)
See Cycle of F.E.A.R.
Conquering Hero15
Capture 25 control points in ranked Conquer All matches.
See Cycle of F.E.A.R.
Cycle of F.E.A.R.35
Win a ranked multiplayer game on all maps (gametype not important). (8)
All you have to do is play elimination for the smaller maps, play conquer all for all the bigs maps. Also just choose high tech and go in and out of a territory for the control takes. In the settings before making game you can adjust taking time to almost 0. Trade back and forth with a friend until all maps are done. In the mean time, you can also get the "Test Drive the New Toys" cheeve by finding the new weapons to kill each other with. This must be ranked so just find each other's rooms.
Fear the Reaper10
Kill 3 players while SloMo is active in a ranked SloMo multiplayer match. (3)
Easy, just setup a slo mo type game type and have your friends find the game and take turns, just make sure the meter is all the way up before activating to ensure enough time to kill 3, can be done with 2 friends and one can rush back after spawning if you set the spawn to as low as possible.
Arrival At the Scene20
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign through "Underneath".
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Understanding the Enemy20
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign through "Disturbance".
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Beginning of the End20
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign through "The Plaza Chase".
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
Former Foes20
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign through "Basecamp".
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
A Darker Place20
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign through "Labyrinth".
Simple, like it says, just get to this point in the campaign, any difficulty.
An End to FEAR35
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign.
Simple, like it says, just beat the campaign, any difficulty.
Nothing to FEAR50
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign on Extreme difficulty.
A pretty tough cheeve, this will also take a lot of time and dedication, if you are having trouble try it on a lower difficulty first. Just remember that leaning and slo mo are your best friends. This campaign in my opinion is much harder and longer, especially harder because of the new enemies that are even tougher than the replicas. Use the same techniques I noted in the Mastery of Fear cheeve. Here is a weapon guide too if you wonder what you should be using, http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=45028
More Assault Than Recon40
Kill every enemy in the Perseus Mandate campaign.
Also simple, Just don't leave any areas without killing everything. If AI allies kill them don't worry, if ghosts hit you, don't worry. I got this on extreme because you really can't afford to run by or leave any enemies left because they can kill you so easily. Leave none alive...
High-Tech Hitman10
Kill 20 enemies with the LP4 Lightning Arc Weapon in the Perseus Mandate Campaign.
This is different than the minigun and laser cheeve because I at least know that this must be done in campaign. You will come across this weapon rarely and you should use it wisely, make sure you are close to whoever you are trying to kill with it, head shots help too.
An Advanced Arsenal10
Kill 30 enemies with the VES Advanced Rifle the Perseus Mandate Campaign.
This is different than the minigun and laser cheeve because I at least know that this must be done in campaign. There are literally butt loads of these in the campaign and should have no problem getting this.
The Bouncing Boom10
Kill 20 enemies with the K3-BT Grenade Launcher in the Perseus Mandate Campaign.
This is different than the minigun and laser cheeve because I at least know that this must be done in campaign. These are relatively common and you should be able to even get more than one kill per shot if you time things right.
Arms Master10
Kill enemies with every weapon at least once in the Perseus Mandate campaign.
All you have to do is get one kill per weapon (including grenades/mines/and trigger grenades) it will unlock once you've gotten the last weapon kill, auto shotgun is not in campaign so don't worry about that. There is a list in menu you can check.
Detective10
Find all phone messages and laptops in the Perseus Mandate campaign.
See You Like the Juice
You Like the Juice10
Find every booster in the Perseus Mandate campaign.
I've made a guide that says in order where to find phones, laptops, health boosters, and reflexes. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=44484
Mastered Your FEAR50
Complete the Perseus Mandate campaign without dying. (1)
This cheeve is actually way easier than it seems because you can play through on low and all you have to worry about is falling off high places or grenading yourself, so if you can handle that you are good to go.
Action Initiate25
Complete any Instant Action map.
Simple, beat any map any difficulty.
Action Veteran25
Complete any Instant Action map on Extreme difficulty.
The easiest map on extreme in my opinion is clinic.
Camping the Goods25
Obtain 150 Health and 100 Armor in a multiplayer game.
Very easy, don't even need to boost for this, just start off and find a armor on the map, then just hide until it respawns and pick it up again.
Test Drive the New Toys25
Kill players in ranked multiplayer with the VES, K3-BT, LP4, TG-2A, and Type-12. (1)
See Cycle of F.E.A.R.
A Player to FEAR25
Kill 10 players without dying in multiplayer.
You can do this in a real game or boost, can be done in unranked and ranked, simple just kill 10 in a row without dying...a killing frenzy if you will.

Secret Achievements

You must be on the team5
Viewed the entire Perseus Mandate credits. (3)
Do I really need to explain this one? Just wait until it pops up.
Cutting off the head10
Defeated the nightcrawler commander.
This is towards the end of the campaign and can be achieved on any difficulty. For you guys playing this on extreme he is one bad mutha trucka and will kill you very fast, for the most part hide and keep in cover lean out to take out all his soldiers. When the time comes try to fight him 1v1, use a lot of penetrator, pistol, ASP, and other powerful weapons on him because he does not die easy. This is in Perseus Mandate.
While your down there5
Killed ten critters duting the perseus mandate campaign. (3)
Just like in original F.E.A.R., kill every stinking rat you see.
A friend in need10
Tried to save chen. (1)
When Chen is attacked by a hole grabby thingy walk to him to grab his hand to try and save him. I got this without even knowing it would happen, I just didn't want poor Chen to die, he's got kids ya know. This is in Perseus Mandate.
First Encounter10
Defeated the first night crawler elite.
This is something you must do anyways so it will come. This is in Perseus Mandate. Any difficulty, just kill him, he can be tough on extreme, just make sure you are in slo mo to kill him because of his dodging skillz.
