Final Fantasy XIII

Final Fantasy XIII Achievements

Master's Seal

Fully developed all characters.

For this, you must max out every role for every character. This will take millions of CP to achieve. While that sounds like a long, drawn out task, it's really not. If you complete mission 55 you'll be awarded with a Growth egg. This accessory gives you 2x CP for all your characters so long as it's equipped on an active party member.

Mission 55 is quite hard and can be beaten with just patience. The following setup is advised for beating it.

Party: Vanille (leader), Snow, Hope.
Also make sure you have the following Paradigms

1: Saboteur / Sentinel / Medic
2: Ravager / Sentinel / Ravager
3: Medic / Sentinel / Medic

Neochu isn't immune to Vanille's Death spell, so start off the fight with paradigm #1. Having the Malboro Wand for Vanille during this fight is almost essential. Snow, having the highest HP, will be distracting all the little Ochu's with Hope healing him. This leaves you to keep spamming Death on Neochu. It has a low probablity, but just keep trying. If your health get's too low, switch to paradigm #3, heal up then go back to #1.

Once Neochu is dead, switch between paradigms #2 and #3 as needed to finish off the small ones.

Now that you have your Growth Egg, you'll need somewhere worthwhile to train. See this thread for tips on some of the best training areas.

I found a place where you can get 30,000 cp in a minute or less it's the small cattus and it's by one of the small turtle things on a little cliff
you do not attack it until it has matured to a big cattus
use syn/syn/syn and then com/com/com
items used are growth egg and have instant chain on all characters any character will do but fang vanille and lightning or hope do best

Where is that location exactly?

FindtheWolfe, the location (I train in the same place) is located approximatelly in the top mid Archlyte Steppe, in a small cliff near one of the entrances to the valley with 2 big tortoises and 3 small tortoises. The entrace I say is the one with a savepoint near it and the one where you do NOT find a Zirnitra (it's a boss of a Mission, but I don't remember the number).

By the way, the small Cactuar is behind the small tortoise.

Another good place which has been discussed is the Northern Highplain near the entrance to Mah'habara. Everyone knows about the fight between the Behemoth and the Megistotherian you can interrupt, which with a Growth Egg gives you 13200 CP. As well as this, in the area there's a Cactuar (10,000), a Behemoth King (80000) and Adamanchelid just round the corner for 9100. Add the two packs of four Gorgonopsids and another pack of four with a Megistotherian that gives you about 15,000, down by the Mission 54 stone, and the fact that the first pack of Gorgonopsids respawns on the way out, and you're looking at the better part of 60,000 in just a few minutes. Perfect for those who aren't strong enough to take on the Adamantoises just yet.

The CP count for the Behemoth King should read 8000, not 80000!

Do you have to max all the 'jobs' for every character or just their 3 main ones?

"Do you have to max all the 'jobs' for every character or just their 3 main ones?"

This is a good question. I assumed that it meant ALL 6 roles, but now that you say this, it does kind of make sense that it would be the main ones only.

This achieve means to upgrade everything in the crystranium, from every role to every node that is in there.
Achievement should unlcok when you unlock the last node

@X[H Turtle

check the main roles of your characters, you may have missed one node on one of the branches somewhere. and don't bother checking the non-main roles of characters because it's extremely linear, impossible to miss one on them.

If you feel confident and your party strong enough farm against the extremely giant turtles that you have to knock down its legs. Best way to do this is Vanelle the party with the weapon that gives deliberation ability. Summon against the turtle and immediately go to geist mode and do its ultimate attack. After that, spam death w/ others causing status effects as well. Death WILL KILL the turtle if lucky and will give 80,000 cp and possible the trap function for making the ultimate weapon for each character, or a platium ingot that sells for 150,000. The only problem is farming for TP afterwards. Once strong enough, then you can kill it for a living like any other moster w/ fang as main character (HIGHWIND is awesome for this situation only when staggered at maximum w/ genji gloves).

It is possible to get a growth egg (double cp) the first time you go through the archylte steppe. the drop comes from mark 55 (neochu) and is possible to kill if you have vanille as lead, with fang and snow as backup. Keep fang and snow in sentinel, then spam vanille's death ability on the neochu, occasionally switching to medic to heal. Eventually it will die, and the little things shouldn't take too long to dispatch and you get a growth egg

@18 because achieving maxed characters is an achievement why else or do you prefer getting "achievements" for pressing start like the U rated games. Not the optimum way to get CP but with a good party you can run fault warrens going to A - A - B and then killing the flowering cactuar with a growth egg you get 15k per kill the fights last 20 seconds after you kill them kill the mark go through to the next mark kill him and titan teleports you to the start of the trials again not the best CP method out there but the bomb cores/shells are good for leveling up weapons just remember to fight the flowering cactuar with rav/rav/rav

can someone help me with this? I have the strategy guide for this so i've been doing the vanille death trick on the adamantoises in eden. But i've used about 5 ethersols and i dont think its worth it (even though i'm getting 80k CP from the whole fight plus those 150k gil components, forgot the name). Can someone tell me how to get a better haul for not much cost?

My party as it is (for consideration):

COM Lv.5/SEN Lv.5/SAB Lv.5/Rav Lv.2

RAV Lv.5/SYN Lv.5/MED Lv.5/Sab Lv.2

RAV Lv.5/SAB Lv.5/MED Lv.5/SYN Lv.2

COM Lv.5/RAV Lv.5/SYN Lv.5/SEN Lv.2

COM Lv.5/RAV Lv.5/SEN Lv.5/SAB Lv.2

This achievement is taking so long! Even with the growth egg!

I personally think mission 24 (Taejin's Tower, 5th tier) is the best possible spot to grind. With the growth egg, you get 12,000 CP plus a moonblossom seed as a repeat reward (sells for 6,000 gil). The enemies spawn nearby, and they are easy to take down in just seconds. It's possibly the best overall bang for the buck.

If you're not concerned about gil, then the fighting behemoth king and megistotherian near the Mah'habara entrance is the way to go.

I found killing the Shao Long Gui (whichever one the smaller version is) to be the best farming for me. There are 2 treasure spheres near the North plains teleport that are guarded by the turtles. You can just run back and forth between them and they will respawn. You get 60000 CP per kill with no egg.

I've been farming the Adamantoise in leviathan's plaza. 80k cp plus the chance for the ultimate weapon catalyst and platinum ingots.
