Forza Motorsport 3

Forza Motorsport 3 Achievements

Solid Gold

Achieve a gold trophy in every single race in the Event list in Season Play mode.

This is the most time consuming in the game. You need to finish 220 events in 1st place, and every event consists of 3 or more different tracks.

The fastest way is to hire a driver compete the race for you. He will take 50% of the winnings and you won't be able to earn any XP, but this way you don't actually have to race. You can just set the race up and then go do something else until the race is finished.

Just do the following (whoch is what I am doing)...
Get a good car, hire a driver to win the race, and go do something else...
It´s too time consuming to do it winning all races..

How do u "hire a driver", and what is that? Do they drive for you? :S

Before every race, on the menu that pops up with "Start Race" there will be an option to "Hire Dricer"
They will do everything.... race and win (If your car is good...)

Since I am doing this after finishing the 6th season, money is not a problem so just upgrade your car and the win is garanteed...

Still a pain... but at least I don´t have to be stuck to the game....

So do you have to win every single race, or just all of the events? Also, is it just the race or events you participate in during the season, or is it every event in the game?

Essentially all the boxes in the event list must be ticked, meaning you must win every race for that to happen. hate this achievement though, letting a hired driver grind it out for me and even then it will take ages.

Any way to get this by just picking the races in the Event list and
just racing them?

This achievement equal massacre. I did everything even drift with smile on my face, 'cause this game is awesome and graphic is awesome. But to be honest I had enough of this just because this freakin' chievo. It's making me nuts. It's taking around double the time to make the rest. Game great but this chievo sucks so much

From #8

yeah I hope you can get this achievement by doing races in the event list only, it's a lot faster this way, and you don't have to deal with the extra championships. I'll tell you what, if I go through all 220 events and don't get the achievement, I'm going to be pissed. If this is what Forza is going to be like, I don't think I'll ever by another one. It's a great game but give me a break

This is also my last achievement for this game, and it is boring as all hell. I'm doing races as I type this(hiring a driver)and I gotta say, all the other achievements where moderately hard or very hard, but they where all challenging or fun in some way, but this achievement is just down right boring. I hope they don't have an achievement like this in Forza 4.

I don't see why people are so cranked about this achievement. It's a racing game with a very extensive career. You knew this going into the game. Plus as several other players have stated, you can apparently hire a wheelman to do it for you and just let the credits stack up. Granted on the flip side you don't get driver XP if you don't beat the races yourself. The way I see it, you get your achievments for driver level out of the way and then let the wheelman take over. If you set all the assist to off and make the AI dumb easy to beat, it's a gaurenteed cash flow. Hell, maybe he can ever bang out the 100,000pt. drift lap for you if you set it to drift scoring and turn the TCS off.

Anyway, stop being ridiculous and complaining about an achievment. You could always just shut the game off

This is an epic achievement and one of very few to be truly proud of! Having nailed every other one that the game has to offer, this slow grind keeps me involved in the game, gives the chance to use new content cars and sit down to do it race by race during the odd spare 15 minutes I get at home.

@ Q Pac 10.... so sorry for the hard drive! Enjoy the final 3 percent.

lol. This is hilarious when reading these comments on these. I have hired drivers most the time. I am at least 20%-30% completed and I don't care how long this game is. At lease I have some free time of my life to actually play this game and complete everything on this game. Once I complete this game, I will go back and re-race and get more credits to buy out every car in the AH, and make people happy.

Also, this game isn't all that bad. Having this achievement brings the game back to you so you don't get bored and don't know what else to achieve. Me, I'm a web designer for Gambino Army Co. 95% done... so close I can smell it.

I did some number crunching with the hired driver.
He always takes half of what comes in... But you have
some control on the difficulty money that comes in.
You control opponent difficulty and damage difficulty.(30%)
He will change all the others.(to 25% out of 70%)

Bottom line:
Always change damage to +15%.
Adjust opponent based on car.
He will win on hard with a better car.
(better = PI,acc,and launch)

@54 There are 3 colors on the event list for events. Green means you're currently in a car that's eligible for that race, Blue means you own a vehicle already for that race and Gray means you don't own a car for that race so you need to acquire one.

Just got this achievement :) Completed the 6 year career and had only completed 29.1% of the races!! Used a hired driver after this. Would come in from work, put the hired driver on a long race and then would go and get changed (keep checking the race) and get something to eat etc. and deal with e-mails. Took a few weeks to finally get it. Just need the drift lap for the final achievement.

Saturday, August 13, 2011 @ 04:35:06 AM

Yes this is a very time consuming achievement to get but here are some tips:

1. Do the entire career mode first, as in all the seasons and getting your level to max. This way you will have plenty of credits to buy cars needed for some events in the event list that you don't have the cars for already (the gray boxes). Also, as you do events in career mode it fills in those ones on the event list, so you won't have to do them twice.

2. For the longer races just hire a driver then start the race. As long as you put him a car that is as good or better than the competition he will win. Look for cars with good launch and acceleration so he can get ahead off the line. Sometimes the AI drivers can be timid and won't pass so it's better if he's just in front from the beginning. Some races can

Glad to hear you can hire a driver to do some of the event list races, cuz there are way too many, and I am trying to clear 1000gs before Forza 4. All I need is completing year 6 and this one. Some of those races (like the endurance ones) I can't sit through in one time. Good thing Forza 4 will let you save during a race and continue it later. Wish you could do that here.

I've been doing races when I can be bothered, as I'm still working my way through season play. When I can't be bothered (or just want to do something else), I'm sat with my laptop watching DVDs and stuff while the driver takes over for me.

Monday, October 17, 2011 @ 06:23:49 AM

I just finished the final season. I'm going to work in a little bit, but I've trained my cat how to select the events and hire drivers for me. I'd have him race it, but I don't really trust him to win. Not sure how many events left, but it doesn't look promising.

Also, this grindout can't be much worse than Seriously 2.0 from Gears of War 2 if anyone did that..

Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 08:23:28 AM

220 events, say, roughly 45 minutes per event (some are only about 15 minutes, but then there are the endurance races too). That's 9900 minutes = 165 hours.

That's a hell of a lot of time for 80G, but it's so worth it. Just simulate the majority of the races, and watch TV or whatever while it's playing. Make sure your controller is plugged in though while you do this, because if it runs out of battery or turns off automatically due to inactivity, the race will pause. This is bad.

Finished this yesterday evening. 122h total driving time, for 17.991Km driven. Never used any hired driver, hard difficulty with just traction control ON. It was boring as hell, but I can now proudly say I finished this beast, 100%!!

I also got a ton of cars. As they reached level 5, I sold all upgrades to recover some of the spent money, and bought new cars appropriate for some of the events. In the end I just had to reuse one car (R1, Acura #66) for the final 6 races.

I had bought Forza 4 already when it came out, but I think I'll play something different for some time ;-)

So I tried to get this gay ass achievement got up to 95% of playing this game for two weeks str8 up to 8 hours.once I get to 95% I get super happy that I continue to get the achievement. Bad luck came to me as the disc got to hot that it froze my console like about 16 times. Now I have to buy a new game just to get this achievement. Whatta Bitch!

Stupidly didn't realise I could choose which track in the events list, but instead got to about 90% done by racing one of the three options it gives you in career mode - ended up repeating so many times, d'oh! 100% done now lol.

good achievement, great game

why did i not get anything for my trouble? like a car prize? maybe a image saying thank you for playing? nope. nothing. nothing! nothing? 80 gamer score doesn't mean much when you've spent days getting this

what, so you have to get gold in every single race?! not just the overall event? so if you get 3 golds and 2 silvers you still get gold for the overall event, but that wont count?

I've been hiring a driver for about 30hrs at this point. still only at 35%. I think it should be worth more. Or at least have some milestones along the way, like getting a few gamerscore at 50% or something. Forza 4 is already out though so ideas are worthless.

I've been playing this game for weeks, currently a level 49 driver, and I just checked my completion percentage: 17.9% completed.

This achievement is bullshit.

this achievement is great pain, but you need it if you want to complete the achievements. I have played this game three month and I have 76% done. I hope that I can finished it before autumn.

This achievement made me lose interest in FM3 after I first started playing it. I took a LONG break from the game, not wanting to go face this horrible, boring chievo again. I even passed on FM4 just in case it has something completely stupid in it like this (game designers... Turn 10... are you listening?). I am, only now, finally back at it trying to wrap up crappy chievo's like this and it's just as stupid a grind as I remember it was. Designers: this is not fun, and it's not an achievement. Instead of keeping me interested in the game, I avoid it. PLEASE think more clearly about your achievements before putting this kind of crap into a game.

Oh balls. I did almost the whole six seasons by driving the races myself (only hired a driver for the few last events), and I almost died of old age. And that was less than 50% needed for this? Yippee...

Any tips om where to buy the cars, for the grey boxes?
I needed a R3 800 car, so i bought one on auction amd resolved, but the boxes for that type of race, are still grey. I just wish to get rid of all my grey boxes.
Any help would be grateful!

Go Race => Event List => Move the box over desired event & press Y (shows you exactly what ur competitors are using)

*u can even notice their rating
ie. R3 715...

match the horsepower number of 715 in this example when buying the car (sometimes helps when car names get ambiguous and confusing and helps double check stock only requirements)

*make sure to spot if the restrictions (X button) need stock only

@109 - That's why it's called an achievement - because you've really achieved something.
And think that Forza 4 has an achievement like this, but you have to spend twice as much time to get it. Trying to get it before Forza 5 :D
