Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Achievements

Nice Shootin', Tex!

Complete the game with less than $100,000 in property damage.

Before you attempt this achievement you must be prepared to start over, a simple mistake such as shooting a car can compromise this achievement. Let your team do most of the work and hold back in a corner, make sure you check your stats all the time to see if your under the required amount. This isn't impossible but it requires patience, The two levels to avoid causing any damage on are "Times Square" and "The Museum of History".

If you do make a mistake quickly quit out of the game and resume, check your stats and hope that whatever you just damaged didn't get recorded.

This will unlock once the game has been completed.

Here's a tip that I pulled off of True Achievements posted by PiMD:

"Another solution is to beat the game on any setting. Then start a new game on a memory card and get to the first level (not the training level) and save after the first checkpoint. Then load up your HDD game and go straight to the final boss. Pause the game and go to options and select your memory card as the storage device, and presto, your money has been reset to $0 and you are at the final boss. Enjoy!

I am aware that this may reset your artifacts and paranormal scans. In order to avoid this please make a copy of your saved game to a memory card or usb drive before proceeding."

But wait, will your weapons be upgraded? And will they be powerful enough to defeat the final boss? Just a thought. I'm sure they'll be fine. trying this in a couple hours and I'll be back :] Seems to work for everyone else, so thank you for relaying this tip! :D Peace

Also hopefully it doesn't reset my PKE scan records. It's glitched and I can't get the last 6 or so but I wouldn't want to lose what I have if I'm overwriting a file. Suppose the ACH is worth it tho. Testing now

Okay so it reset my scans and artifacts to zero but my money is not. My money is still where it was when I beat it the first time. Help? :(

Hate posting so much but I forgot to say I did use the memory card and followed the instructions. Having trouble still. Should I try again 'til it works because maybe it glitched the first time? I'll post results later. Sorry to post so much.

Ok so, yes it does work however it puts you at zero artifacts and zero scans. Also don't do it on professional thinking you'll get that by beating just this one checkpoint on professional. Lol

I, too, can also confirm that this works beautifully. I went for this when i was essentially done with my first playthrough, after getting all the artifacts, ghost scans, water fountains, even the 3 million dollar damage achievement. So it didn't matter if it reset my numbers. Just something to consider.

1. Start a new game with your cloud save space.
2. Play until you reach the hotel (beaten the glutton ghost, leave with the Ecto-1, hotel lobby)
3. Quit to main menu, press options, storage space. Load up your normal save with which you completed the entire game already. GET ALL ARTIFACTS AND GHOSTS FIRST, SINCE THEY WILL BE ERASED FROM YOUR SAVE!!!!
4. Load up the final level with that save. Once it is loaded, press pause, go to options, select another saving destination. Select your cloud drive.

With that done, you skipped all the levels, counters reset, and only the damage in the basement counted (in my situation it was 1494$ or something.

Good luck all! :)
