Complete your path to enlightenment... or not.
This achievement can only be obtained while playing as Michael and involves a very long process of tedious missions and monetary donations. To begin, pull up your in-game cellphone and access the internet. Type in "Epsilon" in the search bar, click on the first website that comes up, and complete the Epsilon Program Identity Evaluation on the homepage. As soon as you quit out of the internet, there will be a new Strangers and Freaks mission on your map in Raton Canyon. Approach the red truck there and watch the cutscene that ensues. Following this cutscene, Michael will receive an email informing him to donate $500 to the Epsilon website in order to unlock the next mission.
These purchased cars will be sent directly to Michael's garage. If you do not have the cash for these three vehicles, all five can be found throughout the city of Los Santos (if you need further guidance, the video below shows these vehicle locations starting at 2:31):
After delivering all five vehicles to the Epsilon Garage, you will need to complete another short mission. After this, you will need to make TWO $5,000 donations to the website for the next mission to appear, which tasks you with buying the Epsilon Robes from their website for $25,000. You must now wear the robes for 10 straight days, so return to Michael's house and simply sleep for 10 days straight in order to speed this up. Once this task has been completed, you will receive a text from Jimmy Boston asking you to go Fort Zancudo; complete the next mission there. Following this, proceed to the next Epsilon icon when it appears on your map and make sure you are still wearing the Robes. Talk to the crew there and they will inform you that you need to wander 5 miles in the desert. Distance covered is tracked onscreen above your radar after every 0.1 mile.

The Epsilon Program is a Religion n in the GTA world, first referenced in San Andreas. It is a parody of Scientology. As we know, The Epsilon Program has been doing a lot the past months, on Twitter, & with a competition & their screensaver. I imagine this will be like a side quest involved in either joining their cult... or not

@17 I just left my Xbox on when I went to sleep. Woke up and had the next mission unlocked.
In GTA5, one minute (game time) = two seconds (real life).
Which means a day goes by every 48 minutes. This means you have to wear the robes for 8 hours.
I tried saving the game from sleeping in my characters bed, but that doesn't seem to advance time. And if you switch characters, they sometimes change clothes on their own, so the only way I see of doing it is what I did, or just keep playing as the same character for 8 hours straight.

Hey join my crew and be prepared to take on GTA Online.
We will be organizing heists daily and taking on rival gangs!
You can join up-to 5 crews so don't feel like you have to make a decision between our crew and one of your friends because you don't!
This crew is currently open so anyone can join, this means you can invite your friends!
Right now the only people that are getting higher ranks are my friends but if you preform good when online comes out you too can be promoted

This is a bit of a bullshit achievement, you've basically got to give the group a ton of money to proceed. 5k, then 10k, then they want 4-5 cars which all together probably cost 500k, then 25k for the robes you have to wear for 10 ays in a row. Bullshit.

This took ages. For spending ten days in the robes you need to save properly (sleeping) 40 times, took me 15 minutes. To run 5 miles in the desert just rubber band your controller to run in circles (see this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOBHTw2Dwqk).
The last mission is up to you but I did the right thing to make sure it popped, apparently if you make off with the money it still pops and you get a fair bit of cash so do whatever.

I just finished this achievement and yes, it is a pain in the ass. I can however give you a few tips that I've found very helpful. A lot of these tips are mentioned above but I would like to give my experience.
- After several Epsilon missions you are required to donate money on their website. Be aware that it could take several ingame days before another epsilon icon appears on your map after you have done that. Be patient or skip the ingame time by sleeping in your bed (you don't have to save, just hit B).
- Skipping the ingame time by sleeping is also a useful strategy for the mission were you are required to wear the Epsilon robes for ten days. You wil have to repeat the sleeping process for a lot of times, but trust me, it beats the alternative.
- When you get the mission to
Saturday, September 28, 2013 @ 05:57:53 PM
- When you get the mission to find the exclusive vehicles for Marnie, dont purchase any online! You will only waste a lot of money if you do, and all the vehicles have fixed spawn points. Use this map instead http://i.imgur.com/eehkP7W.jpg . I have used this map as well, and it is a 100% accurate.
- When you get the mission to walk 5 miles in the desert, I recommend using a rubber band to hold your left analog stick to one side or the other and do something usefull / fun, 5 miles is a long f-ing distance. If you do decide to walk the 5 miles yourself, stay in a small area. The edges of the area are very random and if you step outside it you have to do the whole thing over again. Yes it has happend to me at 4+ miles.
Saturday, September 28, 2013 @ 05:59:17 PM
- (Possible spoiler to the final Epsilon mission).
When you do finaly reach the final Epsilon mission, I would highly recommend to NOT follow the Epsilon instructions to deliver the car. INSTEAD make a run for it with the car and outrun or outgun the Epsilon guards comming after you. Trust me, it is worth it. If you run you will get a shitload of money as well as the achievement, and you don't have the feeling that all of this Epsilon bullshit was for nothing. The alternative ending sucks butts, believe me.
That was about it. If you want to know anything else, don't hesitate to message me.
Good luck and Kifflom, Brother-Brother / Brother-Sister.

@ #24 I have to say I couldn't disagree more. This was one of my favourite achievements tbh. I thought the whole idea was hilarious. And was great fun!
* Robes: Don't do the saving a thousand times idea. Just wear the epsilon robes whilst your either flying around revealing the map for the 'Los Santos Sightseer' cheevo or doing the stunt jumps. this killed at least 6 days for me.
* 5 mile run: Not as bad as people are making out. Just run up and down the airstrip. It's just under 0.5 miles so you need to do it about 11 times. It took me about 10 minutes. (NOTHING compared to the button bashing escapade that is the 3rd Triathlon! - Holy shit that was a nightmare)
* It cost me about half a million to buy 3 of the cars. I got the Dinka T from the Lifeinvader car park. And

Anyone else having trouble with the Exercising the Truth mission popping on their map? I've gotten through the car delivery without issue, but more than a week has passed in-game, I've switched characters multiple times, completed missions, side missions, random encounters, killed my character, even went to the spot on the map where the mission is to start and still it won't load.
This whole series of missions is totally f'ed. Rockstar dropped the ball on this one. You'd think they would thoroughly test any missions directly tied to achievements/trophies.

I also had problems with the robe delivery, I ordered four seperate times and waited several weeks (in game time) then suddenley I had a text to say they had been delivered.
I am now doing the spaceship collections as Michael. I would advise saving regularly and not changing characters as Michael will change his clothes (he did this when I returned form multi-player) if so just load last saved game.

I never got an email about the $10,000 either, but I went ahead and donated it just like I had done previously. But now the next symbol isn't coming up on the map. When u have to wear the robes for those 10 days, it is exualy possible to sleep those day out. Just keep re-entering ur bed to safe the game and then make sure 11 days pas by. U should get a message that u have worn the clothes for 10 day by then.

This achievement will be the death of me. I did the car mission around the part of the game where Trevor comes to Los Santos, and the next mission wouldn't show. I then proceeded to complete the rest of the story and still nothing! And Rockstar's support team fails to help me in any way!

You won't have to spend the money on the cars! Found this really helpful!

Interesting achievement although I'm pretty sure it's glitchy.
I've delivered the plane from Fort Zanaco and Jimmy Boston has said he'll be in touch, yet it's been about a month in-game and I still haven't got the next Epsilon icon to appear on my radar :/

The save trick to wear the robe for 10 days took me about 20 minutes. I kept dozing off while doing it because it was a tad bit boring. Also, running around the desert took about 30 minutes. I just had him run around in circles and something holding down my A button. Make sure you check in on him at about 15 minutes as my controller turned off at that time. Doing it legit probably wouldn't be as bad as the third triathlon, though.

Wish i had checked this thread before playing my first run through, had to totally replay the game because not having this bothered me.
Thank you for explaining it so clearly as well, cheers!

I attempted the gold medal on the last mission and it was a huge fuck you rockstar for it, so instead I ran out of the city they never gave up so went into the beach down this hill got out of the car and let the two men have their last moment on the beach.

for the time spent on this, 30 points barely seems enough but the in game payoff is well worth it

TIP: When wearing robe for 10 days, switch to Trevor and go to bed. Trevor sleeps for a longer period of time than Michael or Franklin, aprox 12 hours. Do it 20 times, you don´t even have to save, just back out of the save screen. Then switch back to Michael and continue the mission.
