Show / Hide Guide Road Map

  • Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10
  • Offline Achievements: 40 Achievements - 1000
  • Approximate amount of time to 1000: 8-10 Hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1+ (Will need to grind after game for final achievements via "Chapter Select")
  • Number of missable achievements: 2 - "There is Hope" and "Mogo is Proud", but they can be obtained later via "Chapter Select"
  • Does difficulty affect achievements: Yes but they are stackable.
  • Glitchy achievements: None
  • Unobtainable achievements: None

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is a solid, fun title that falls in the grey area of movie based titles. While it is no X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it is definitely not as bad as Superman Returns. A single playthrough will net you almost all 1000, but you will have to go back through for a little grinding.

Step 1- First Playthrough on Emerald Knight Difficulty

Even on "Emerald Knight" the game is relatively easy. The chapter bosses can be annoying, but nothing you cannot handle. This playthrough is made a dozen times easier with the help of a partner. This will also net you the Synergy achievement. Note, however, that only the first player will get any achievements. Since the game won't take that long to complete, I recommend offering to playthrough for your partner as well as second player.

Also, if you take your time, you'll unlock the "There is Hope" and "Mogo is Proud" achievements. These are your obligatory collectible achievements. There are only 14 collectibles in all (5 blue meteorites and 9 green). If you need help finding them, use this thread:Thanks to kael7 for the guide.

Step 2 - Clean-Up (Collectibles/Upgrades/Kills)

Going through "Chapter Select", you'll be able to do clean up without having to start a new playthrough and wll get to keep all of your power ups. If you didn't get them through your first play through, this is where you'll be able to get "There is Hope" and "Mogo is Proud"

Furthermore, this is where you'll be grinding through to get enough energy to purchase all of your power ups. During my first playthrough, I had unlocked "Willpower" (Purchase all Constructs) and "Might Makes Right" (Purchase all Attack Upgrades). Through all-game grinding, I got the last three: "Big Spender", "Complete Control", and "Full Burn".

Finally, in the event that you didn't obtain some of the weapon kill counts needed for various achievements, your weapons and stats carry over. Upon figuring out what kill counts you need, just spam those various Constructs. This comes in handy for some of the later Constructs, such as the Mech Suit and Jet Fighter, has earlier enemies are much weaker than later in the game when you purchase them.

Follow this guide and you'll have all 1000 points in no time. Now, go and do the Corps proud, Lantern of Sector 2814.

Just Getting Started10

On a Roll30
Performed a 50 hit combo.   (1)

Emerald Knight100
Cleared all missions on Emerald Knight difficulty.    (21)

Note: Difficulty Achievements do stack. Start with Emerald Knight.

Emerald Knight is extremely easy for being a game's most difficult setting. This setting is made even easier when you add in a partner. The only thing to keep in mind is, when you find yourself being overrun by enemies, spam either your Mace Storm or the Mech Suit.

Cleared a mission in Co-op.   (3)

Note: Only the first player (Controller #1) will get this, or any, achievements during co-op.

The description says it all: just complete any mission in co-op. With a second Green Lantern on your side, this game is extremely easy. This goes double for Emerald Knight playthroughs. I recommend finding someone who won't mind playing through the game twice and you each go through a play through as each others' second Lantern.

Emerald Warrior50
Completed the game on poozer or enforcer difficulty.

See "Emerald Knight"

Defeated 10 enemies with Hover Mines.   (1)

The Hover Mind will be unlocked through the natural progression of the story (Mission 3). Simply defeat 10 enemies with it.

Favorite Pastime15
Defeated 10 enemies with Baseball Bat.   (1)

The Baseball Bat will be unlocked through the natural progression of the story (Mission 4). Simply defeat 10 enemies with it.

Blunt Justice15
Defeated 10 enemies with War Hammer.   (1)

The War Hammer will be unlocked through the natural progression of the story (Mission 1). Simply defeat 10 enemies with it.

Also, the War Hammer is vital in getting the "What Goes Up..." achievement.

Shut Your Mouth60
Performed a 99 hit combo.   (8)

With either a large group of enemies near by, or on an end boss, simply activate Ring Surge and constantly spam the Gatling Gun or Mace Storm. I had unlocked this via the first boss after getting access to the Gatling Gun. If you haven't hit a 20 or 50 hit combo yet, you should get them following that method.

Master Blaster15
Defeated 10 enemies with Ring Blaster.  (1)

This is the first construct unlocked through natural progression of the game (Mission 1). Simply defeat 10 enemies to unlock.

Distress Call10
Cleared mission 4.    (1)

Story related and cannot be missed.

Cleared mission 5.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Central Battery10
Cleared mission 3.    (1)

Story related and cannot be missed.

Cleared mission 1.

Cleared mission 2.    (1)

Ultimate Weapon10
Cleared mission 9.    (5)

Story related and cannot be missed.

Return to Oa10
Cleared mission 10.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is the only chapter I found to be annoying. It is essentially all one continuous boss battle. By now you should be at Lv. 10 and have your health and power maxed if you'd found all the meteorites. Take your time and conserve your energy. Spamming your bigger attacks, like the Jet Fighter and Mech Suit, will leave you vulnerable. This chapter is a perfect example as to why it is better to play with two Lanterns as opposed to one.

Hot Pursuit10
Cleared mission 8.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Cleared mission 6.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Cleared mission 7.

Story related and cannot be missed.

There is Hope40
Collected all 5 Blue Meteorites.    (2)

See "Mogo is Proud"

Mogo is Proud40
Collected all 9 Green Meteorites.    (3)

Note: If you missed any of the collectibles, the Chapter Select page does show you what (if any) collectibles you have found or are missing before you select that chapter.

There are only 14 pieces to collect, small fry compared to most movie inspired games. With the exception of 1 or 2, they are all out in the open and easy to spot. If you are having trouble finding them, please refer to kael7's collectible guide

Not a Poozer80
Gained experience level 10.   (4)

Honestly, you'll hit this by time you reach Mission 8 or 9. Just destroy all jars/destructible environments and defeat all enemies you see. Building up a chain will also net you a percentage increase for experience earned through battles. In other words, hit a 10x combo for a +10%, while hitting a 30x combo will earn you a +30%.

Get Dizzy Y'all!20
Made Green Lantern dizzy 10 times.   (8)

This should be the first achievement you unlock if you're goofing off. Simply twirl the left analog stick counter-clock wise until he stops and wables. You've officially made Hal dizzy. Repeat 9 more times.

Rank Up30
Gained experience level 5.   (1)

See "Not a Poozer"

Purchased all Construct upgrades.   (2)

See "Big Spender"

Big Spender100
Purchased all upgrades.   (4)

There are 4 categories needed to unlock this achievement:

  • Constructs (Cost: 171,000)
  • Ring Power (Cost: 250,000)
  • Attack (Cost: 84,000)
  • Ring Surge (Cost: 160,000)

Constructs will probably be the first you unlock, especially if you're trying to get all the achievements. I then worked on Attack and Ring Power. By the end of my first playthrough, I had hit the 100K mark three times. You will need to do some after-game grinding to unlock them all.

Complete Control25
Purchased all Ring Power upgrades.   (1)

The Missile Pack must be purchased (22,000). Simply defeat 20 enemies.

The Blade Whip must be purchased (16,000). Simply defeat 10 enemies.

Locked and Loaded15
Defeated 10 enemies with Gatling Gun.   (1)

The Gatling Gun must be purchased (18,000). Simply defeat 10 enemies.

Beware My Power!20
Used Ring Surge 10 times.   (1)

Ring Surge builds up as you attack your enemies. When the curved bar to the left of your health/power pulsates, you have the ability to use Ring Surge. In this form, you are invulnerable and have unlimited willpower to spam your constructs left and right.

What Goes Up...20
Launched 20 enemies.   (1)

Simply send 20 enemies into the air. This is easily done with either the Hammer or by using the mech suit's stomp attack.

Hal Knows Jets15
Defeated 20 enemies with Jet Fighter.   (3)

The Jet Fighter must be purchased (40,000). It is a 1-hit kill on most enemies, even on Emerald Knightdifficulty. Simply defeat 20 enemies with it.

Big Beat Down15
Defeated 20 enemies with Mech Suit.

The Mech Suit must be purchased (30,000). It is slow but very powerful, I'd recommend using it in large groups of enemies to damage more than one at a time. Simply defeat 20 enemies with it.

Around the World15
Defeated 20 enemies with Mace Storm.   (3)

The Mace Storm must be purchased (10,000). Simply defeat 20 enemies.
