Locate and access all Terminals in the Campaign.

Note #1: You have to wait for the "Fragment Ends" message to come on before the game registers that you've got the terminal. The only exception is Terminal #2 on the level "The Covenant," this one does not give that message. Hit the button to scroll through a few messages, then the terminal will turn red and a few more screens will need to be read before the "Fragment Ends" message appears.

Note #2: These can be done in any order and you do not have to finish the level. It is suggested to do them all on the same difficulty. Access the terminal, wait for the end message, then you can save and quit the level.

The Ark:

  1. Start the mission and once you enter the first building take a left into another door and now you should be in a curved corridor. On the inside is a Terminal.
  2. After activating the bridge to let your comrades across the gap, do a 180 and you should see it. *it does not open until you activate the bridge*
  3. In the third building after defeating the scarab, kill the group of sleeping covenent, then follow the corridor downwards. Once you reach a door in front that is locked, immediately on the left there's an open door. Go through and walk straight off, then do a 180 to find a secret room. It is in there.

The Covenant:

  1. When in the first tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn left. Jump over and it's right there.
  2. Land your hornet on the second tower, walk towards the entrance but when you see the locked door, do a 180. Should be right in front of you.
  3. When in the third tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn right. Jump over and it's right there.

Halo:

  1. After reaching the end of the first cave, hug the right wall and you will see a building. Jump up onto the walkway and hang a left once inside. It's right there.

No matter how much I read or sit there after it turns red it never ever says anything about a "fragment" or a "fragment end!"

It doesn't say "fragment end" if you're playing on Legendary! I was still able to get this cheevo though!

No, it has to be at least normal to get any achievements.

To get this achievement, you must read through all pages of the terminal, wait until it turns red and goes into a sort of 'virus'-like stage, and then read the remaining pages after the hexagons move very quickly.

@believed sane, according to the halo wikia, you can get this on ANY difficulty. And you can get them in any order, nor do you have to finish the mission for any that you find to count towards the achievement.

Just go to the "Achievement Details" section of this page, as it'll give you the other details as well (for those who are wondering how to get it): http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Terminals

You better do it co-op and ALWAYS go to the last part of the story otherwise you don't get the achievement

Thought this would be difficult considering on how much it is worth, but it ended up being pretty straight-forward. Just follow the directions described above, and there shouldn't be any problems.

This achievement may be slightly glitched. It popped for me after the 3rd
terminal in the Covenant level. I did not need to get the one in 'Halo'.

Thought this one was glitched. But after 3 tries I got it. Not really sure what popped it. My final, and obviously successful, attempt went like this:

Start on Normal difficulty
First mission: The Ark then through the others. Including Cortana. Each mission/level must be initiated from the start not the half way points.
Wait for the message to go garbled (scrambled) and the general colour scheme to go red. *NOTE* all terminals WILL behave the same way. Excepting Cortana.
Read through the message.
Access all terminals on a single level. Then save and exit.

I think that the difficulty must be consistent. If your start hunting this achievement on a certain difficulty level, stick with that difficulty level. Make sure you have seen each message in full. It should take about ten secon

You can get this on easy. Just popped for me, was in no particular order either. It doesn't matter if you start a mission from start / alpha or bravo either.

This achievemnt definitely IS glitched. I went through all of the terminals twice and the achievement did not unlock. So I started going through the terminals a third time. I started from the Covenant mission and when I opened the first terminal, the achievement finally unlocked! Something strange about this really.

Try not to rush through the pages and note that there are pages before AND after the screen turns red.

It's stupid that the pages seem to affect whether the achievement unlocks or not. Not just accessing the terminal.

this achievement is not glitched. THE PLAYER is glitched. I got this first try no problem by simply following the INSTRUCTIONS of reading every message until it says fragment ends. the only one which doesnt say that is the one in the second tower on the covenant level. if you had problems with this it is because you did not follow the instructions. you fail at life.

I can confirm you can definitely get this on easy. Just make sure that you pay very close attention to Note #1 in the achievement description.

Was kinda glitched for me, wouldn't get the red screen and the "Fragment Ends" unless I did them in order

This crap didn't work for me. I visited all 8 terminals on legendary difficulty after having completed the game on heroic, went through it until it flashed red, then went through until the red arrow came up. I don't understand why I didn't get it when I went through all 8 terminals all the way.
