You do not need to complete the map if you are going for black boxes once picked up it saves so you can quit to next mission.

Man I just need wall of recognition according to the guide to get this achivement along with wall of recognition. But the scarab level is too hard to get points on. It easy to kill the scarab without doing the new blood glitch, but in order to get gold you have to destroy all power nodes and locusts...

If you destroy all the nodes and locusts as fast as possible you should be able to pull off the gold medal. Speed adds a big-time multiplier, even on the easiest difficulty.

The scarab mission (7) is not a difficult to get Gold as it seems... send powerful units on both sides. I did 8 marines in front and 3 scorpions behind it (on each side). Know where the scarab is looking at all time!

Almost got this. I still need the Mission 1 5g Achievement and the Mission 8 5g one.

Am I the only one who thinks the description is bad as to get 100% achievements you need the achievements for 100% achievements, I know it's just bad wording but it annoys me.

I don't think the developers of this game understood what "100% completion" meant. Last time I checked, that means completing all levels on all difficulties, getting all collectibles and getting all achievements.
