Introduction:
Welcome to Harley Pasternak's Hollywood Workout. The game has 48 achievements, most of which will require you to work up a sweat. If you are looking for a quick and easy completion, you are going to want to look elsewhere. This game will work you pretty hard, and given the way the fitness programs work, you will need to play the game 5 days a week for at least 5 weeks. most of the achievements will come naturally while you are doing the 5 week and 10 week program, so even though they do not have highly accurate descriptions, you probably won't have to actively shoot for anything.


GLITCH WARNING:
For one reason or another, some achievements will unlock in the games achievement tracker, but not in your profile. It is not clear why this happens, but this happened for me with the achievements for not missing a day and gaining target points every day. This may happen if you do more than one workout a day, or if Kinect loses you. The only way to unlock the glitched achievements seems to be to start a new save file. So wait until you are done with your current program before doing that. Fortunately, if the glitched achievement has another achievement that builds on it, it will not effect how it unlocks. So, if you don't get the achievement for playing every day for a week, you can still get the achievement for playing every day for a full program.

Step one: 5 Week Program:
Probably the easiest way to start is to dive right in. Start up a 5 week program and get ready to work or that Gamerscore. You have three different 5 week programs to choose from, so choose whichever one you feel comfortable with. Over the course of this program, you are going to get a lot of different achievements, and you are going to want to make sure that you are trying for the 4 missable achievements.

This is extremely important:
Play every day you are able. You need to workout 5 days per week for the entire five week program in order to unlock the Perfect program achievement. These can be any 5 days, but between Sunday and Saturday, you need to do 5 sessions on 5 different days.
Actually workout when you are in the session. Not only will this get you achievements faster, but you are going to need to do enough reps to beat the target points at the end of the session to get the "Exceed your Goals" achievement.

If you are putting in a decent amount of effort while doing this, you should unlock the vast majority of the achievements by the time you finish the 5 week program.

Step 2: 10 Week Program:
Hopefully you have the four missable achievements done so that you can take a day off if needed. This one will take a while, but you can also use this to work toward any achievement that you are still missing. Assuming you actually know what the achievement is asking you to do. You don't have to take this one as seriously, so feel free to swap out exercises that you no longer need or that you have a hard time doing (or a hard time getting Kinect to track). It won't hurt to go every day, but I don't think you are obligated to do so to finish the program. Don't miss too many days, though.

Step 3: Single workouts and mop up:
You may have a few achievements left after finishing both programs, but these should come easily during the 12 Single Workouts that the game includes. These are all themed workouts, like sexy legs or great abs, so they cannot be customized like the Complete Programs. But, you don't need to do much beyond completing the exercises, so these won't be too hard.

Conclusion:
Really, Harley Pasternak's Hollywood Workout is not a difficult completion, but it will take planning and dedication. If you know you are going to be going away for a few days, you might want to hold off on starting a complete program, or be ready to adjust your console's date settings in order to back date your workout. But, everything should come naturally over the course of your programs.

Start a Complete Program 

This is probably going to be the first achievement you get. From the menu, go to the option Complete Programs and select any of the six options. As soon as the workout starts, the achievement will unlock.

Hollywood Trainee30
Finish a 5-week Complete Program 

There are 3 different 5 week programs to choose from under the Complete Programs option. So long as you complete any single one of them, without missing too many days this will unlock.

Star Client40
Finish a 10-week Complete Program 

There are 3 different 10 week programs to choose from under the Complete Programs option. So long as you complete any single one of them, without missing too many days this will unlock.

Total Workout20
Complete all Exercises 

There are 28 different exercises in the game, ranging from jumping jacks and squats to exercises designed to be used with weights. 8 Cardio exercises, 8 upper body exercises, 6 lower body exercises and 6 core exercises.

You'll get this naturally if you are running through each single workout, but you won't necessarily if you are doing a complete program. The reason for this is that the complete program gives you all 8 cardio exercises, but only 5 of each of the other exercises. You will need to swap out some exercises when you are done with them if you want to get this during a single complete program.

Complete all Single Workouts 

There are 12 different single workouts, which can be accessed from the main menu. Each of these are based on a theme, like working the abs or getting ready for bikini season, but for the achievement, just work through them all one at a time.

Rep streak10
Perform 5 consecutive reps 

This is going to be one of the first achievements that you get. What you need to do is do 5 reps in a row, without having one time out. Given that the first exercise of the easy complete program is jogging on the spot, you will get this pretty much as soon as you start.

Set Your Goals10
Earn Target Points in an Exercise 

Every exercise you do will have a target number of reps that you should try to do, such as 40 jumping jacks or 25 lunges. Once you exceed that target, you will start earning extra points and unlock this achievement.

Maintain Your Goals20
Earn Target Points for a week in a Complete Program 

See "Exceed your Goals."

Exceed Your Goals30
Earn Target Points in an entire Complete Program 

This is not as daunting as it may seem. Every session has a target points level, based on how many points you would get if you were to reach the target in each exercise, but that is not that hard to pull off. Go as hard as you can in the cardio session and you should get most of the way there. But, in order to do this, you cannot miss a session. You must do 5 sessions a week for the entire period. This will pop at the end of your session at the results screen.

Miss no days for a week in a Complete Program

Perfect Program30
Miss no days in an entire Complete Program 

This one is easy, but will take dedication. You need to do 5 sessions a week for the entire program (5 week program would be easier). If you miss a day, the schedule will shift back one day, but if you take 3 days off in a week, you will have to start again, or change your console's date to ensure that you get credit for the missed day. This will pop at the end of the session at the results screen.

Burn, Baby, Burn10
Burn 100 calories 

See "Inferno."

Dynamo20
Burn 1000 calories 

See "Inferno."

Inferno30
Burn 10000 calories 

This will come with time. Every exercise you do will get you credit toward this achievement, so doing more will get you closer to the target faster. If you were to do the bare minimum, this would be the last achievement you would get. But, if you set your weight high or just generally work to do as many reps as you can every time, this should come pretty quickly. You might even get this in a single 10-Week Complete Program. If you really want to get this done quickly, you can set your weight to 300 pounds and you should get this done near the end of your 5-week program or shortly after.

Earn 1000 points

Earn 10000 points

Harley Star30
Earn 50000 points 

This is surprisingly easy, since it is cumulative. Every time you do a rep, you will be given points, ranging from 100 to 220. This means that you will get this achievement after 500 reps at most. This will probably come in the first session you do, assuming you are pushing yourself

No Sweat10
Perform 5 minutes of cardio 

See "Move That Body."

Keep Breathing20
Perform 60 minutes of cardio 

See "Move That Body."

Move That Body30
Perform 200 minutes of cardio 

Every workout you do contains about eight and a half minutes of cardio, so this will come in time. It should take about the full length of a 5-Week Complete program to unlock this. The cardio exercises come at the start and finish of the session.

Push And Pull10
Perform strength exercises for 5 minutes 

See "Tight and Toned."

Getting Stronger20
Perform strength exercises for 75 minutes 

See "Tight and Toned."

Tight And Toned30
Perform strength exercises for 300 minutes 

Every session has about 12 minutes of strength training in it, so this will come in time. You should unlock this near the end of your 5-Week Complete program if you are not adding in any Single Workouts. The strength exercises are the reps that you do during the middle of the session.

Complete all Upper Body Exercises 

There are 8 Upper Body Exercises in the game, such as hammer curls and the reverse fly. Once you have done a set of all 8 exercises, this achievement will unlock.

A complete program will only include 5 different upper body exercises by default. As a result, you will need to round out the 8 with Single Workouts or switch the exercises in your complete program.

Limbo Leader20
Complete all Lower Body Exercises 

There are 6 Lower Body Exercises in the game, such as lunges and hamstring curls. Once you have done a set of all 6 exercises, this achievement will unlock.

A complete program will only include 5 different lower body exercises by default. As a result, you will need to round out the 6 with Single Workouts or switch the exercises in your complete program.

Extra Crunchy20
Complete all Core Exercises 

There are 6 Core Exercises in the game, such as side Bends and seated twists. Once you have done a set of all 6 exercises, this achievement will unlock.

A complete program will only include 5 different core exercises by default. As a result, you will need to round out the 6 with Single Workouts or switch the exercises in your complete program.

Action Movie Star20
Ready your body for those action-packed sequences 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, and probably all of them are in the Action Movie Star Single Workout, though that is not certain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. This unlocked during double crunches for me.

Martial Arts Movie Star20
Focus your moves to effectively defend yourself 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, but the entire set is uncertain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. The lateral raises exercise makes great progress toward this achievement.

Superhero Movie Star20
Tone your physique in order to squeeze into that superhero outfit 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, and probably all of them are in the Superhero Movie Star Single Workout, though that is not certain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. This achievement unlocked during a move called the Superman.

Music Video Idol20
Dance for multiple retakes without tiring 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, and probably all of them are in the Diva in Training Single Workout, though that is not certain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. This unlocked during skater lunges for me.

Win those individual competitive challenges 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, but the entire set is uncertain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. The deadlift will make great progress on this achievement.

Plank Champ20
Work your muscles while perpendicular to gravity 

The achievement name is kind of misleading. You would think that the mountain climber exercise, which asks you to be in a "plank position" would be included in the set of exercises that this achievement is tracking, but that does not appear to be the case. What it appears to be tracking is a few non-cardio exercises like lying tricep extensions, pushups and crunches (though only regular crunches).

Get the upper hand on your opponents 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. However, it will unlock rather quickly as the cardio punching exercise counts toward this achievement. Punches show up in every session, so you should unlock this fairly quickly.

Olympic Sprinter20
Strengthen your legs to run at lightning fast speed 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, but the entire set is uncertain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. It appears that the exercises being tracked are the lower body exercises such as squats and lunges. This should unlock fairly quickly.

Skating Gold Medalist20
Spin and fly across the ice surface 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, but the entire set is uncertain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. The exercises being tracked almost certainly includes the Ice Skater and Skater Lunges.

Triathlon Champion20
Train your body to endure a grueling race 

The achievement isn't really clear about what it's asking you to do. It is tracking a certain set of exercises, but the entire set is uncertain. Fortunately, the achievement tracker is very accurate, so you can see how far away you are and what sort of progress you are making. The exercises being tracked almost certainly includes the Bicycle Crunches and Reverse Flys.

Walked A Mile20
Step forward enough times to walk a mile 

This achievement is for stepping forward 1056 times. This includes exercises like jogging on the spot and lunges and should come fairly quickly.

Crab Walk20
Sidestep enough times to travel a mile sideways 

To do this, you will need to do exercises where you step to the side 1056 times. This includes exercises like Side Shuffles and Ice Skaters. Despite the fact that these exercises come up frequently, it may take a while to unlock this achievement as it is difficult to rack up a large number of reps on these exercises.

Heavy Lifting20
Perform enough push ups to lift a school bus 

To unlock this achievement, you will need to do 100 push ups. That might not sound like much, but given that you only have 1:20 per exercise, it may take a few sessions to unlock this achievement.

Kayaked Across Niagara Falls20
Row far enough to kayak across the mouth of Niagara Falls 

To unlock this achievement, you will need to do 250 Seated Twists. This will probably take two sessions.

Totally Yodeling20
Ski down far enough to descend through the Andes Mountains 

This achievement tracks a few different moves, but not all of them are clear. The Side Shuffle is definitely part of this, though. Kind of obvious since every time you do them, Harley will talk about how it's like skiing. This will unlock after 1142 reps.

It's A Bird, It's A Plane20
Jump enough distance to leap over the Empire State Building 

This achievement requires you to so 1454 reps that involve jumping. That includes jumping rope, jumping squats, jumping jacks and such.

Freshly Squeezed30
Crush enough oranges to make 25 gallons of orange juice 

This requires you to do 1250 of a certain set of reps. It seems to include all kinds of Crunches and other ab exercises like Side Bends, though.

Beach Cruiser30
Pedal far enough to bike from Santa Monica to Venice Beach 

To unlock this achievement, you will need to do 360 bicycle Crunches.

Scaled The Grand Canyon30
Climb high enough to scale up out of the Grand Canyon 

To unlock this achievement, you will need to do 2400 Mountain Climbers. This achievement also appears to be tracking lunges and squats as well, though only the regular lunges, not the skater lunges.

Red Carpet Body30
Complete 15,000 reps. Hollywood, look out!
