Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Achievements

Green Thumb

Harvest 10 of each type of reagent.

You need to harvest (not just find/loot) ten each of the reagents below. Putting points into Alchemy will increase the chance of harvesting. All harvest points will respawn after some time, so sleep at a bed if you need to use the same spawn points. Names and locations are as follows (note that you have to complete a side quest to rebuild Seawatch before reagents will spawn there):

  • Bloodroot - Seawatch, located to the left of Caeled Coast on the map.
  • Seaflax - Seawatch.
  • Scarlet Flowstone - Seawatch by alchemical lab.
  • Scarwood Bark - Seawatch.
  • Sky Blossom - Seawatch.
  • Tindertwig - Seawatch.
  • Black Cohosh - Allestar Tower, start of the game, also found basically everywhere.
  • White Flake - Shardfall, top left of Cradle of Summer, inside cave.
  • Eel Petal - Allestar Tower, at least 2 on the way to first town in the game.
  • Scarab Salts - Shardfall.
  • Star Thistle - Seawatch.
  • Softscrabble Powder - The Court of Winter, final warp point in the game, just warp and turn around.
  • Sativa Fibers - Seawatch.
  • Cripplespore Caps - Stonecandle Mines, first mine at start of game, also found in most caves.
  • Edelweiss - House of Valor, 2 inside warp point, big white bush, also all over the desert.
  • Ysa's Breath - Seawatch.
  • Embereyes - Seawatch.
  • Leechwood Bark - Seawatch.
  • Prismere Dust - The Court of Winter.

The only exception to the Harvest rule seems to be Essence of Fate. This can be looted from bodies after using Reckoning and it counts toward your ten. More help with this achievement can be found HERE. If at the end of the game you don't have this achievement, sell all your reagents and then start Prismere Dust, harvesting ten of everything. Do not loot anything other than Essence of Fate! This will help you easily earn the achievement.

I guess it should be self explanatory since it says "Harvest" 10 of each type be out of curiosity is it actually harvest 10 of each or acquire 10 of each? Cuz I have more than 10 of each but the chivo never popped for me.

The Darkvari Mine is in Apotyre in Detyre. You can also find Prismere Dust within the area leading up to The Court Of Winter. Anyone know where to find places to actually harvest the Essence of Fate?

I've only found one place to harvest Essence of Fate so far, going south from Damalroc, cross the bridge and on the left there's a small cove where it can be harvested.

In the pass that connects The Hollowlands and Menetyre there is a hidden door with an Essence of Fate plant behind it.

You might have 15 of each, but how many did you get from corpses and chests? Achievement is for harvesting.

I just finished the achievement and it seems like you don't need Essences of Fate, just 10 of every other reagent.

Is there a way to find out how many of each plant you harvested because I have over 30 is some and in most 50 and a few in the 90s I just don't know what I need any more

The best way to check is to go like your going to create a potion & on the right it will show what ingredients you have & how many but the counter stops at 99 so you may have more than that.

I also found three Prismere Dust in the Cynric Quarry just south east of Darkvari mines.

I got the achievement yesterday, it wasn't too difficult and only took around an hour. Just unlock seawatch this will help get most of the ingredients.

Plants also run on a two day in game respawn. Letting you guys know in case you want to harvest the same plants in the same areas. I would suggest finding a location, harvesting the reagent and then sleeping for 48 hours within your house. Then repeat the process. Should take about 15 minutes.

I had trouble with this one too... just kept a tally of new reagents I picked up until I got the achievement. Turns out the reagents I was missing were Tindertwigs.

dont be fooled when you look at your inventory and see you have a ton of one reagent and assume youve harvested ten of them. i just spent the last hour harvesting the reagents i had the least of, assuming those would be the ones i needed. turns out i needed white flake, which i had over 100 of. ive never bought a single reagent, so i must of looted a ton.

An easy way to find out what kind and how many reagents you have is to go to your inventory screen, click on Items and than click on the Reagent bag. This will list all the alchemical reagents you have collected (harvested/looted/drops) and the quantity.

A guy called Diamondz posted a list of reagents and their farming locations, even including maps. Posted on this very site in fact, I found it thru google lol.

Really good work from the dude, which ive copied below.

Bloodroot - Seawatch, located to the left of Caeled Coast on the map, player house, must rebuild first.
Seaflax - Seawatch.
Scarlet Flowstone - Seawatch by alchemical lab.
Scarwood Bark - Seawatch.
Sky Blossom - Seawatch.
Essence of Fate - Goto Araid Camp and make your way back towards High Fulgen, on the way you will see a small cave on the left, fate is inside.
Tindertwig - Seawatch.
Black Cohosh - Allestar Tower, start of the game, also found basically everywhere.
White Flake - Shardfall, top left of Cradle of Summer, inside cave.
Eel Petal - Allestar Tower,

This achievement is a real pain in the ass. I wish it told you which ones you harvested in parenthesis next to your total. Now I gotta search for everything in hopes of randomly getting the achievement when I may only need to harvest one thing for all I know.

I'm playing through the game and randomly farming everything I come across. I'm hopeful that I won't have to sell all my inventory at the end of the game and start from scratch.

if u have 99+ of everything like myself u can try putin it in ur house stash and then go out and harvest 10 of each dont buy or loot any to be sure

For those looking for the rarest of all the plants needed for this achievement (Prismere Dust) you DONT need to access the second island.

Goto Apotyre in the far south west of Detyre
There is 1 Prismere growth in Darkvari Mine
There are 4 in Cyrnric Quarry
Save before harvesting each one
After harvesting all 5, goto sleep for 48 hours, repeat and....

If you have full or near full skill in harvesting, and you have picked up plants as you come to them thru the course of the game, you SHOULD get the achievement after doing the Prismere plants.

Just to confirm, Essence of Fate is NOT required for the chievo, the only difficult to find one is Prismere (Not any more).

Ok... i got this very easily... once you finish your first play through go to a merchant and sell ALL your Regents, except the Essence of Fate. Then Go to a Fateweaver and Reset all your points. Then Max Apoth, You have to Farm 10 of each and they have to stay in your inventory, you have to have farmed 10 of each. Also, the list of locations on this site is WAY too precise, there are other places you can get each item easily. For instance, Seaflex, go to Tinehil in the east side of the midden, there are 3 or 4 in there, don't do all the quest for seawatch, its not worth it.

How do you unlock seawatch??

Friday, March 02, 2012 @ 03:21:04 PM

Seawatch is on the eastern island, north east of the southern section of Caeld Coast.

But if your waiting to get there to get this achievement, your doing it wrong. All plants are easily available on the first landmass, and the only difficult one (Prismere) I've described the locations in #29

Thanks for the tip nomadski... it was an easy way to get 10 Prismere Dust. (Incidentally, I only ever found 3 of them in Cyrnic Quarry, so I had 3 total trips to make.)

Sadly - the achievement didn't pop. I've been casually tracking reagents as I farm them, and I think there are a few slightly-less-rare items that are recommended to get in Seawatch that I've found decent areas to farm on the western continent:

Tindertwig: Aodh ruins
Scarwood Bark: Gossamer's End in Canneroc (2 in the basement if fully upgraded, plus there's a bed nearby)
Seaflax: ... The only place I've found is the mine in Anessa. There were 3-4 of them here. Does anyone else know of a better place on the western continent for Seaflax?

For the prismere dust you can always go to the three mines in apotyre, sleep three days (or wev it is for the reagents to respawn) and harvest all available spots, then repeat till you have them all.

I would check every herb because I didn't bother with a list which I wish I had. My last herb was Prismere Dust which I got on the last area of the game. Tad annoyed that the game keeps some stats but no very detailed stats.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this. And for those who are still having problem with it, Essence of Fate isn't part of the needed regents and so it shouldn't be your problem. Your missing regents should be between WHITE FLAKE (which can be found in Shardfall), SCARAB SALT (which can be found in Sharfall as well) & SEAFLAX (which can be found in fallen hall or seawatch.
NOTE: Looted, stolen or bought regents doesn't count!!!!! I had 30 Scarab salts before i ventured to harvest some in Shardfalls and after harvesting 7 the achievements popped :D which means i most have bought/looted/stolen 23 out of the initial 30. So, Happy harvesting ^_^

After thinking it was Prismere Dust and harvasting a whole bunch. Read someone else say their's popped when they harvasted white flaks. I went to shardfall mines in the craddle of summer (top of the map) after grabbing 2 the achievement popped! Hope that helps! Also, I only harvasted one essence of fate after playing the game 100 plus hours, collected them over time using the fate shift. So yeah you don't have to harvast 10 of those.

do you need to have 10 of each in your inventory at one time, or 10 of each in total? Because I'm pretty sure I harvested at least 10 of each reagent already but the achievement hasn't popped yet

I know I'm extremely late with this but hopefully it will help someone...I did NOT have 10 of each reagent in my inventory when the achievement popped. I had sold/ used all that I had in an attempt to "start from scratch" in collecting them and only had about half of what was in the list when I got the achievement.
