Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Achievements

Manic Pixie Dream Elf

Wooed Rast Brattigan.

When speaking with Rast Brattigan during the main quest, be sure to always choose the "nice" options (top right on the dialogue wheel). Once you have defeated Dead Kel in the main quest and returned to Cape Solace, speak with Rast to unlock the achievement. You can speak with her at any time, so don't fret if you forget for a while after finishing the main quest.

If the achievement does not unlock upon speaking with her, you've not been nice and she won't want to woo you - you'll have to get this on another save file/character.

One of the secret achievements is obviously beating the dlc story; however, you have to talk to the captain upon completion in order for it to pop.

I talked with Rast Brattigan after defeating Dead Kel, but unfortunately nothing popped up. Was I supposed to bring her with me to fight Dead Kel and then talk to her after the whole cave collapsing scene? If so, then damn.

You did not need to bring her along during the Dead Kel quest.

"I want to sail"
Captain Brattigan
Dead Kel
Gallows End

This is also at cape solace do i need to talk to her somewhere else?

Does it have to be a strictly male character? I used my female for the DLC.

In order to get this achievement you have to do all the "flattery" responses to captain brattigan from the very beginning at the port in rathir all the way to the end of dead kel main quest. If you use the other remarks it wont let you get the achievement. This happened to me the first time I played it. I went back to an earlier save and redid the main quest only but with the flattery/kind remarks. Takes around an hour and a half to two hours I think just rushing through. In the end after all the sucking up to her and after you escape the collapsing cavern at the end of dead kel quest line just talk to her and you will get the achievement and the unique great sword. Hope this helps :)

Well, that sucks. I guess I'll have to start a new character and reach him/her to level 10. My female character's kind of a douche. Thanks for the info Drake.

No problem and yeah it does suck. Luckily I had a few other max level characters to play around with but redoing the main quest is a bummer. The great sword is a neat looking weapon though. Especially for when it's max stats. ( weapons scale according to level of character at the time you get the weapon for quest uniques. Uniques from hidden piles and chests generally do not. Just a side note)

@13 - Same here. I thought she was a great character though, so I was nice to her.

I called her a "fool" at the VERY beginning of this DLC, picked every nice option thereon in and still it did not pop.

I didn't once bad mouth her and said nice things all the way through. Achievement has not popped sadly. I think I have the greatsword though. Anyone have any ideas what the sword is called?
