LEGO Lord of the Rings

LEGO Lord of the Rings Achievements

I'm glad to be with you.

Complete a level in co-op.

The game has no online, so this will need to be done locally with a second controller. You can either play through an entire chapter with two players, or if you're doing it alone, have the second player jump in right before the level ends, the achievement will unlock regardless. I've even discovered by accident that you can simply start up a chapter and save and exit with two people; this one can't get much easier. Regardless of method used, this MUST be done in story mode.

This achievement always appears in Lego games, and it chaps my arse. It's very nearly always the last achievement I get and almost always the first for my second user. I don't have an internet connection for my xbox, no second controller, and have to wait for more than a month to get a second player. And for what? A measily 10 points. Seriously, Traveler's Tales... It might be an achievement for ME to play a level in co-op, but not for most people. Quit adding it!

You can't play Lego LOTR online with other gamers, only with a buddy at home.

FYI...Make sure you do this in Story Mode. I tried several times in free play and it wouldn' pop. One time in Story Mode and it popped after the end mission summary.

Super easy achievement as long as you have a second controller or a guitar hero/rock band instrument; wait until the very last step of a level, plug in your controller, complete the level and it will pop

@#6 I did this with a story level and that little trick of yours did not work.

You generally find that you cannot save progress in a story level by existing and have to complete it (or at least get to a save point).

So, I recommend you either finish the level (especially given issues people seem to find in save points) or try it in a free play level.

Easiest place to do this is the Bonus Level. Right before you get teh 1,000,000 lego piece, press START on a 2nd controller. Easy!

Did the same as #13, earned both achievements in one go. Remember, DO NOT accept the update when you start the game after clearing your cache. But I do recommend signing back in and doing the update immediately after earning the achievements since I believe the update did fix some glitches.

Thanks #10 I'd rather use that method instead of get the achievement offline.

I can confirm that it is as simple as starting a level with two controls, and

-save and exit

however, for this one and "It won't be easy" it worked only when I attempted in story mode, freeplay didnt work on either occasions.

These co - op achivemts in the games are so boring when you have to play alone.

Saving and quitting to get the achievement no longer seems to work.

The method described by #16 still works. I just did it and the achievement popped. Make sure you clear your cache and play the level on Story Mode.
