Lollipop Chainsaw

Lollipop Chainsaw Achievements

Millionaire Hunter

Pick up 10,000 zombie medals.

For this achievement you must simply pick up 10,000 zombie medals. Every time you kill a zombie they drop medals which come in a variety of gold and platinum. Zombie medals can also be found lying around stages and classmates you save will also reward you with them. These coins unlock upgrades such as new combos, music, and extra costumes for Juliet! This is cumulative so you will be always be working toward this during your first playthrough and any other subsequent ones. Nick Shake is another great method for farming medals:

Nick Shake
If you have the skill purchased you can use Nick Shake by pressing  and landing on it during Nick Roulette to have Juliet shake medals/lollipops out of Nick. Mash all face buttons except  and this can help work toward the achievement. You can only use this once per Stage section.

I'm wondering if this is glitched? I picked up the 1000 and didn't get that one, and I'm sure I picked up more than 10,000 Golden Medals... or do they have to be Platinum?

i don't know if it's just gold, or gold and platinum combined, but it's definitely off. i added all my medals up from the leaderboards and i had a little over 18,000 and still hadn't gotten it. not sure what my total count was when i got it, i had just kept playing through at different difficulties and it popped for me. so it's definitely off, but keep playing and going for other achievements and you'll be fine.

Does it bother anyone else that the achievement for getting 10,000 medals is "Millionaire" Hunter?

According to the guide, medals earned in ranked mode do not carry over afterwards. So, does that mean if you only played in ranked mode, no normal mode at all, you wouldn't be able to get this achievement? I also noticed that, in the game (one of the tips during a loading screen, I believe), it says something about how everything in ranked mode carries over. Was this a typo on the developer's part, or were the medals earned in ranked mode supposed to carry over, but don't for some reason?

@4 - I agree. It should be called "Thousandaire Hunter" or something. I'm just glad you don't have to pick up a million medals.

If you want to grind for this and get it half way through the game you can get it on stage 3. When you get to the first shop use Nick shake. Hop the fence to find the bus and listen to a zombie say "Where's the chicken?" then press start and select restart. You'll go back to the shop and can do it all over again. There will also be four coins that respawn every time. It's a good place to go for the Love Nick and Super Shopper achievements as well.
