There are 21 achievements with a total of 350 points.
DLC Expansion Pack 3
[x360a would like to thank Will187 for the Road map]
|Win a game||(1)|
This is pretty self-explanatory, just win a game. This can be in Single Player campaign mode or online Multiplayer, whether that be 1v1 or Two Headed Giant.
|Increase your life total to 30 or more in single player, or 60 or more in Two-Headed Giant|
This might sound difficult, but when you consider that you start with 20 life points, its fairly simple. You want to play lots of instant spells to increase your Life Points.
An easy way to get this is by using the default green deck, and playing "Natural Spring" which will give you 8 Life Points. This also coupled with "Wurm Tooth", which gives you one extra Life Point every time a player plays a Green spell.
|Magic: The Puzzling||10|
|Complete a challenge||(2)|
New to this Xbox LIVE Arcade title is a series of in-game "challenges". They will see you pitted against a foe with a certain objective and a certain number of turns to complete your objective.
To get this achievement, just complete one challenge.
|Deal 20 combat damage to a player in a single turn in a game|
This achievement is very straight forward. You just need to inflict 20 points of damage on your opponent in one turn. It can be direct damage, Trample damage, etc.
This can be done in any mode, whether it be Two-Headed Giant, Campaign or Multiplayer.
I think the simplest way to do this is to use the prebuilt green deck and wait until you get enough Green Mana to play Duskdale Wurm. On your next turn, play Blanchwood Armour on it, which will give it at least 14/14. If you have Overrun, play that next turn, and you've got a 17/17 monster with Trample. Then, just tap everything and play all your attacks.
A full list of the decks within the game can be found here.
|Defender of Foriys||20|
|Win a Two-Headed Giant game||(1)|
In Magic: The Gathering, Two-Headed Giant is like the co-op version of the game. To get this achievement, simply win a game of Two-Headed Giant in either offline or online co-op.
If you can't do this, find someone to boost it with online, and you can get the Devastator achievement at the same time, then switch over and let the other person get the achievement.
|Defeat someone who has earned the Spellslinger achievement||(19)|
This achievement is unlocked by beating someone who has obtained the "Spellsinger" achievement already. To obtain this, just organize a boosting match. Otherwise, you can just play with people online and hope you get it.
You'll know if a person has it, because there is a picture of the achievement tile next to their gamertag in the match lobby.
|Win 5 ranked Xbox LIVE matches||(10)|
Fairly straightforward - win 5 matches online and make sure they are RANKED.
This also includes Twin-Headed Giant matches, as victories in that game type go towards both players win totals.
No real tips here. Just play your cards well and try to keep all your bases covered.
|Defeat Tezzeret in the final single-player campaign battle||(3)|
Fairly straightforward once again. Just beat Tezzeret in the campaign mode to unlock this achievement. Tezzeret runs a Blue and Black Mana deck.
The Blue deck was really good for countering the million Artifacts he seems to have. You could then use the few flying creatures you have to peck away at his health, but if he has his cards out that lets him tap two lands and get 1 LP each time he does it, just give up.
The white deck worked well. I played him again using the White and Blue decks and won it easier with the White.
|Complete all challenges||(4)|
Again, another straightforward achievement. Just finish all the Puzzle Challenges that you can do, and you will unlock the achievement.
A guide to completing the challenges can be found here.
|Master of Artifice||10|
|Defeat Tezzeret the Seeker and Sarkhan Vol in the cooperative campaign||(4)|
This is an offline achievement. You need two controls to do this and you just need to play through the whole co-op campaign.
|Win 10 Xbox LIVE matches||(14)|
Same as for the achievement "Duelist", but win 5 more online matches.
This doesn't have to be Ranked only. It can be a mix of Ranked, Player and Twin-Headed Giant.
Just keep playing and you will get this eventually. If not, use the Achievement Trading Thread, find a boosting partner, and set up wins online.
As the achievement description states, unlock everything 100% and you will get this achievement.
This includes: Single player campaign, online achievements, unlocking all the cards, getting the "Spellsinger" achievement, and getting all the new decks.

|Defeat Nicol Bolas in the single player campaign (Duel the Dragon)||(1)|
For this one you need to beat all five of the new single player campaign matches. It's not too difficult, just use whichever deck you're most comfortable with. I alternated back and forth between the Elf and Mono Black decks for the of speed. As far as I know, this achievement does not require you to have beaten the original campaign. The individual matches aren't too difficult, but if you find yourself having too much trouble you can do this one on the easiest difficulty.
|Control creatures with a total power of 75 or more (Duel the Dragon)||(3)|
The description pretty much says it all. Note that you don't need a single creature that big, but rather the total power among all creatures you control must be seventy-five or greater. As anyone who has ever played around with the Elf deck can tell you, this is pretty easy to pull off. To make this as quick and easy as possible, go into Custom Games and create a match against Garruk. I use Garruk because he doesn't have any creature removal for you to worry about and the deck is generally pretty weak when used by the AI.
Set his starting hand size to five and yours to nine. Also set your life total to 40 if you think you need it, but you probably won't. Go into the game and mulligan until you get a decent starting hand, preferably with something to create tokens and/or Immaculate Magistrate. Then just keep buffing creatures and creating tokens without attacking until the achievement pops, then either exit the game or attack for the win.
|Earn Puzzling Master and complete all Duel the Dragon expansion challenges.||(8)|
This requires you to have beaten every challenge in the game, including the original set. On a side note, there may be a couple of different solutions to these challenges. I encourage you to play around with the challenges and see what you can come up with.
My guide for the new challenges is as follows:
#1, Jace's Blue/White deck
This one is pretty simple. Play one of your Etherium Sculptors first, then cast Terror on Jace's Wall of Air. Once that's taken care of, just play everything else out of your hand except for the Dancing Scimitar and your second Etherium Sculptor. Then swing out dealing sixteen damage and tap the Onyx Goblet for the last one point of damage.
#2, Elspeth's mono White deck
Oddly enough, this is even easier than the last one. Play these cards exactly in the following order: First, cast your Obsidian Battleaxe. Then, play the Bramblewood Paragon from your hand, but don't let the Battleaxe attach to it (well I guess technically you could let it, since it's free, but anyhow...). After that cast the Vengeful Firebrand and let the Axe attach to it, giving it Haste. Haste, combined with the two +1/+1 counters and Trample given from the two Paragons is what wins this. All that's left to do now is to swing out. All of your creatures are Warriors and thus have trample from the Paragons, and thus they will deal the exact amount of required damage.
#3, Lilliana's mono Black deck
This one is pretty complicated and a huge difficulty jump from the previous two challenges. Follow these steps and you shouldn't have a problem.
Step 1) Play a land and Skip to your attack phase and attack with Ambassador Laquatas, but don't let the damage go through. Cast Condemn on it as soon as the game will let you, so the Ambassador goes to the bottom of your library.
Step 2) Cast Kiss of the Amesha, gaining you seven life and allowing you to draw your Wrath of God, which you will immediately cast, destroying all creatures. Your Purity will go to the "bottom" of your library, giving you one more card to draw for another turn. Kiss of the Amesha also re-draws your Ambassador, but hang on to it for now.
Step 3) Allow Lilliana to take her turn, she will play a Nightmare and maybe one or two other creatures, none of which have Haste, so there are no threats to worry about.
Step 4) On your turn, play your final land, then re-cast Ambassador Laquatas and use his ability three times to mill Lilliana's final nine cards out of her deck. He doesn't need Haste because his ability doesn't require him to be tapped to use. After that, pass turn and you will win when Lilliana attempts to draw from an empty deck.
Take note that the you will still lose the challenge, if you allow it to go to turn three, even if there is no way for Lilliana to win on that turn. The first time I tried this, I wound up with a Purity on my Side of the table and a Nightmare on her side after Wrath had killed everything else. I know she had a Nakrataal in her hand to kill my Purity, which would have given me an other card to draw, and I had an Unsummon in mine to bounce the Nightmare and survive long enough to draw it. I probably still would have lost eventually anyway, but still, it gave me the "you lose" pop up as soon as her turn started.
|DLC: Expansion Pack 2|
|Price: $4.99 USD Achievements: 3 Points: 50|
|Last One Standing||15|
|Win a 3- or 4-player Xbox LIVE match||(32)|
Create or search for a 3- or 4-player ranked or player match and win the match. The quickest way to obtain this achievement is to find 2 other friends (friends can be found HERE) to start up a 3-player player match then have 2 players take turns quitting a match until all 3 of you have the achievement.
|Put 8 lands onto the battlefield in one turn||(5)|
Go to the Challenges menu and start a match against the last challenge of the newest magic DLC (DLC2, its a match against Sarkhan Vol with 1 Wall of Wood)
|Everything at Stake||20|
|Defeat Sorin Markov in the single-player campaign (Expansion 2)||(2)|
Sorin's final deck is very aggressive consisting of several quick drop vampires which benefit greatly from Vampire Nocturnus. Aside from setting the difficulty to Mage (easy), having a good opening hand also helps so don't be afraid to mulligan or restart a lot if needed. The two decks I recommended you use would be Ears of the Elves and Heat of Battle, though use any deck you feel comfortable with.
|DLC: Expansion Pack 3|
|Price: $4.99 USD Achievements: 3 Points: 50|
|Defeat Sarkhan the Mad in the single-player campaign (Expansion 3)||(2)|
Sarkhan's final deck is is built around his Eldrazi (huge endgame creatures) and dragons using Solemn Simulacrum to accelerate his land drops and several removal spells to hold off until he has the required mana to play these massive creatures. Another card to look out for and which must be dealt with before its effect kicks in is Dragonmaster Outcast. The best counter would be a quick kill deck with several flying creatures and removal spells so the Relics of Doom deck would be the ideal choice, but again use whatever deck you feel comfortable using. You can also reduce the difficulty to easy if needed and don't be afraid to mulligan or reset to get a good opening hand. Once you defeat Sarkhan's final deck, you'll unlock the achievement and Sorin Markov's vampire deck, Master of Shadows.
|Salt in the Wound||15|
|An opponent's last permanent leaves the battlefield (Expansion 3)||(13)|
There are 2 ways to unlock this achievement with little difficulty (depending on if you have a friend with this game or not). The quickest of the 2 ways is to play a 2 player match over xbox live with a friend who is using the Eons of Evil deck (a friend can be found HERE). Your friend must have Evolving Wilds in his/her opening hand (mulligan if necessary) and play Evolving Wilds 1st then sacrifices it which should unlock the achievement for you right away.The other way, which in more luck dependent and may take some time, is to play the single-player Campaign starting 1st against Niv-Mizzet using the Thoughts of the Wind deck with an opening hand containing a Boomerang and 2 islands (mulligan until you have at least 1 island and a Boomerang, since you might draw an island on your 2nd turn). Boomerang Niv-Mizzet's 1 land on your 2nd turn and the achievement should unlock.
|Tsunami of Pain||15|
|Deal 12 combat damage to an opponent in a single attack with one blue creature (Expansion 3)||(10)|
Using the Relics of Doom deck you can unlock "Tsunami of Pain" during your 1st match against Gideon Jura by boosting Master of Etherium to over 12 strength and attacking with it. It must be unblocked and deliver at least 12 point of damage to your opponent regardless on how much life your opponent has left. The alternative to using the Relics of Doom deck is to boost Sphinx of Magosi to at least 12 strength and attack unblocked with it. The Sphinx is found in either the Thoughts of the Wind deck (the last card to unlock) or the Root of the Firemind deck (deck unlocks after defeating the last Niv-Mizzet).
