The Destroyer

Won 100 Arcade Mode Levels.

Won 100 arcade mode levels – This is actually really easy if you do it right. What you need is 2 controls first. Go to Act 1 Wrenchworks from your S.H.I.E.L.D access point. Use Ms. Marvel and Invisible woman and get to the very end of the level. Skip all the guys and just get to the very end. Right before you exit the level, load up the second controller and put it on arcade mode. Use Ms. Marvels ranged move and kill a few guys with the first player controller. Usually 2-4 is fine. Once you’ve done that, exit to the omega exterior and there’s your first arcade win. Rinse and repeat and you should be done in no time. I don’t have this achievement yet and the only people who I know who have it don’t know if you can turn off your console and continue. So please be careful when you do this because if your 360 stalls like mine did (at 40 arcade wins), you might have to restart all over again from 0.
It should take around 30-60 seconds per arcade win.

Tron Edit: You ARE able to turn off your xbox and continue later. Either the next day or four months from now.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my Xbox stalled on 4 separate occasions, each time when I was around 60 kills. So my total is well over 200 wins and I still haven't unlocked this achievement.

I have started doing this in sets of 30. I save afterward and load a different game file. I'm hoping that as long as I save and turn off my Xbox, rather then letting my Xbox freeze every time I attempt to go for the full 100, will help me get it.

I am currently at 60 wins and I will post again to let you know if I get it.

Got it!

I recommend doing this in sets of 25-25-25-25 or 34-33-33 to be safe. Just make sure that you load and re-save the game after a set. Otherwise you may be getting this achievement at closer to 500 wins rather than 100.

Saturday, July 02, 2011 @ 04:33:09 AM doesn't work for me. First of all, not always at the end of the level
I have the screen telling I won the arcade battle, sometimes it just goes on
like I am playing a normal game.
What is the right way to do it without getting crazy?
I have the save game at the beginning of Wrenchwork, the first run works. After
I exit Omega I pause, disable the second player, load again the save game, run
the level and at the end I enable again the second player before I kill some and
exit again. But then not always the screen counting the kills appears.
What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to just keep going back and fourth in Stark tower in and out of the lab??since that counts as a level?

For some reason this is glitched for me :( I havn't used any cheats, and I have performed well over 400 rounds (by my last count). No idea what is wrong, guess I'll have to give up one this one. Shame, cuz it's the last one i need...

So how does the 'Rinse and Repeat' method work? You exit to the omega exterior then just load the game up again from the check point?

For anyone using the Rinse and Repeat method (nice one Enraged Blade), I have been able to do this by myself doing the following...

1) Use the Wrenchworks extract with ONE controller
2) Turn on the 2nd controller
3) Select Arcade and then the team member
4) Go into the room SOUTH of the SHIELD. (There are 5 enemies here, kill them with Controller 1) You will have to move Controller 2 into a position to be able to kill everyone.
5) Run thru the next room and exit to the Exterior. This creates the initial win.
6) Press Start on the Controller 1, Players, and inactivate the Player 2.
7) Reload and Repeat!

So if you reload it will still keep count and not reset?

After 27 straight wins I unlocked Teh Mast3r achievement. Tried 6 more and didn't unlock Battle Hardened. Nothing in this game seems to keep track correctly.

A better place for the Rinse n Repeat Method is the Sepulchre Area in Act 2. Just beat up four or five Demonic Souls and go to Inferno. To make things even quicker, beat up four or five foes in Inferno before going back to Sepulchre.

Ok this achievement is starting to piss me off! It's my last achievement and I've been at it for over 2 hours using a variation of the method outlined in #9 but in the Sepulcher.

However I'm using this modified method:

I have both controllers active
I'm using Thor (my profile) and Deadpool (guest)
I have Deadpool teleport through the wall into the room with the columns
I move Thor around the wall into that room then out of that room and to the part where the enemies spawn
I use Thor's Rage (chain lighting attack) and kill a handful of enemies then go to the exit to Inferno.
I see the end screen saying I won, wait for Inferno to load, then reload the save and repeat.

I unlocked Teh Master then shut off the system to run some errands then tried to pick back up where I left

I know how the guy b1zarr0 feels. This is also the last achievement I need. But unlike him, I have been trying to get this since 2006! I am doing something fundamentally wrong, but have no idea what. Will try it again tonight.

Thanks for this how-to-guide. The achievement itself isn't very hard, just a bit time consuming.

If there is anybody still wanting to do this Achievement, I am also working on it, and beating the game on Hard Mode.. My Gamer Tag is TJ Jack Napier send me a friend request and we can work out a place and time to do this.. Best bet is if you do not have the 15 consecutive wins, to do those first and then plow through the 100...

Just to add to comment #9, ntangbl's walk-through:

After exiting to the exterior and getting the initial win (Step 5); you can go back in kill another 4/5 guys then exit and get another arcade win.

The achievement description is wrong, you cant continue from a save
It has to be done in one go, not only that but also the game must not freeze which it will resetting the counter, and also losing conection to xbox live reset the counter for me

First it froze when i was at 5, then i lost conection at 10(ever since we got 2.5 x the maximum internet speed of optic fibre without optic fibre i keep losing conection every 10 minutes)
Then i played 15 levels uninterupted offline and the consequtive wins unlocked, and after another 5 the one for 20 wins

So better refrain from doing this, the game will freeze on you making this luck based achievement impossible, unless youre really really really lucky

I just got this achievement. Had to repeat and play the same level 105 times so not sure why the counter was off. I had the game lock at 60 and I started to save every 10 runs. My internet never died and was good all the time.

Based on the comments here, I think there might be a glitch similar to what I noticed with the trivia questions. The trivia achievements are (1) 15 correct, (2) 20 correct in a row, and (3) 150 correct. But for me, they popped after 15 (1), 35 (2), and 185 (3). This makes me think that an achievement popping resets your count *unless you save your game*.
