Mass Effect

Mass Effect Achievements

Damping Specialist

Use Damping Field 75 times

For these achievements, you'll need to be an engineer class character. To use these: Press RB and highlight the power you want, then press A. You can map it by pressing X, then all you have to do is hit RB to use the power. Only do that if you're working on one at a time.

To make this faster, use the manual cast for every power you have, then use adrenaline rush. You'll get a second use of every power with that. Now everything will recharge, rinse and repeat.

YOU must do these, ally casts don't count.

To get this Fly to a uninhabited planet i suggest a planet that has a non toxic environment so you don't accidentally die from exposure. Then just use Damping on the Mako to get this, also works for Neural Shock.

when you get the Soldier ally achievement I believe you get that as an extra power when creating a character.

Do these need to be cast on something like the biotic powers do on the Fast Travel terminals?

Did people consider just playing their way through the campaign and getting this as it came naturally?

To Comment 3: I didn't see that as an option when I created my guy- all there was to select among the 3 weapons.

To Comment 9: Yes, that's what I'm doing. I'm worried it might take forever to get AI Hacking & Neural Shock, though. I'm doing Bringing Down the Sky so I can get that Savant omni-tool to help with recharge times.
