Mass Effect

Mass Effect Achievements

Complete the majority of the game

By majority of the game, they mean an undefined amount of the game. I recommend that you choose two characters and go with them till the end. Try to not start a side quest without the characters you want. There around 70 side quests including the main quest ones. So, make sure you do around 60 of them before Ilos. IF you haven't gotten the achievement after that, then you should try exploring the galaxy and doing more quests. Remember to talk with allies in order to generate more side quests.

NOTE! Completing the DLC makes a noticeable contribution toward this achievement. You should be able to earn all of the ally achievements before you get to Ilos if you complete the DLC.

The following is a list of missions in the game:

It took me 57 quests (side quests and main quest combined) to get this
achievement. Not a hard achievement if you explore all planets and explore
a little the quests just come to you. If you have any problems getting this
achievement this link should help. good luck.

I've done every non-collection side quest I can do with my character type and Im just about to go to Ilos and this still hasn't popped. I've done 65+ quests now. Not happy! Oh wwell....looks like I'll have to play through it yet again :D

So I'm at 54 side quests and unlocked the Soldier Ally achievement but this one didn't unlock? Should I continue with side quests or just head to Illos?

I unlocked this achievement at 50. Meaning you do about 25-30 side missions then do all the main missions (beating the entire game) and it will pop.

I unlocked this cheevo at 48 and my ally soldier cheevo popped as well. The turian cheevo popped at 50, which was odd. I would suggest you check out side quest walkthrough over at gamefaqs, following that made this a lot easier. I am glad that I didn't habe to do the collection quests to get this, it would of been a major pain in the ass.

I just got this one after doing all of the upkeep missions on Feros. I had done all of the side missions (not including collector ones, partially done but not finished) I tried to get all the codex as well, but I know I missed a couple early on.

I had also does Noveria, and both DLC missions (full completion on those). Both my Soldier Ally and Quarian Ally have popped as well. One at the beginning of Novera and the other at the end.

I just finished a total Completionist run-through, 1-55, including both DLCs, and it didn't pop. The only mission in the game I didn't do was the Renegade mission because I didn't acquire enough points. The Asari Ally popped, but I also had Tali with me from the moment I picked her up and Quarian Ally never did. Are these bugged?

Just follow this checklist from the start of the game or playthrough, I did as many as I could after becoming a Spectre and this achievement popped in Noveria (I did Feros and Liara's Dig Site first)

This seems like a stupid achievement. I mean, yeah, you can gauge how close you might be to an ally achievement, but only during the first playthrough.

Also, for some reason I had an ally achievement pop up before this came up for Shepard. What's up with that?

I got this achivement on Feros.
And I did everyting I could before I got there, including all the DLC's.
Had about 8hours playtime around then.

Got this on Feros (after doing Noveria and Therum) talking to Fai Dan. It popped up mid-conversation after the Geth attacked while we were talking. I had the Bring Down the Sky DLC and had completed every possible mission up to that point, excluding collection assignments and including both of the ones unlocked for 80% paragon and renegade. I did the side quests that become available after taking to him and got both of my ally achievements at the same time when I reported back to the second person.

Got this after 45 quests (main missions included, but only the ones after starting Feros). Sadly, the ones for my allies haven't popped up yet, but maybe that's because they're Wrex and Tali.
