Mass Effect

Mass Effect Achievements

Complete playthrough with shield damage greater than health damage

Simply complete the game with YOU having more shield damage than health damage. Take cover often. This is easiest with a soldier class since they can wear heavy armor. Get a good armor with 4 bars of shield early and this will be simple. Also try to get it on your first play as you will take more damage during your Hardcore/Insane runs.

yeah, this one you get without even trying. just make sure to take cover whenever you can which is pretty obvious.

LOL thanks for writing this because i saw this achievement and winced! i avoid tedious achievements like the plague! EG play through when you have to avoid killing things like in HALO ODST so boring!

I got this during the first playthrough, although I didn't expect it.

Also, I wonder if doing this on Insanity might work, if you imported a character with Colossus armor. I seemed like every battle I'd lose my shields, but didn't usually lose that much health.

Shield Boost is useful as well. When you get to 0-1 bar shield left, use it and you're good to go without taking cover. This way you won't even need high level gear for easier difficulties when doing this.

Hunh, I got this one without even realizing it. I had to go check to see if I had it.
