Metro: Last Light

Metro: Last Light Achievements

Save D6.

This is considered the "Good ending." You will need to dedicate an entire play through for this achievement. Throughout the game, you will be rewarded with "moral points" while making choices. Most of these choices are for doing certain achievements, finding special areas, or listening to conversations of NPCs. There's no real guide to follow, but just know the outcome of each choice you make during your play through. The following is some major points you'll need to earn the achievement:

  1. Listen to as many NPC convesations as possible.
  2. Listen to as many enemy converations as possible.
  3. Free the prisoners in the level "Pavel."
  4. Save all woman and children on "Bandits."
  5. Complete the shooting gallery in Venice to give the teddy back to the child.
  6. Spare Lesnitsky
  7. Do not kill any non-hostile creatures while with the Dark One.
  8. View all visions in the Dead City
  9. Spare Pavel.

The "good" ending.
Knock out humans, try not to kill unless forced. When I went through I only killed during the chase and the flamer on D6.
Knock out Letsnisky
Take off your mask when he demands it
Save Pavel
Ignore the demon on dead city
Save the bear in the forest level
Watch as many human interactions as possible. When you see 2 people talking stand by and listen to their conversation. You'll know it counts when the screen flashes and makes a noise.

Their is a guide called metro wiki that has a list of everything. You can't kill watchmen in 2 missions or so.

Well guys first post in a long time...
While trying 2 get shadow ranger, redemption, ranger elite (play ranger mode) and musician... I played theough one guide mostly on gamesradar... I found myself totally stealth knocking ppl out... But... If either it's a glitch or it's supposed 2 be like that in ranger mode... Whenever I start a new lvl and I have 3+ med packs I suddenly start new lvl with only 2... You can imagine that playing "the chase" while not killing anyone and only 2 med packs is annoying... Or even impossible... So after a while I got tired and just shot a soldier while riding alongside the train... It actually helped, so I was on the train with no med packs doing same things (most time was on the train) and after couple tens of tries (really I'm not joking) and more then hal

this one seems much harder then destroying D6, extra 20G is it really worth going to all that trouble and find out that you messed it up by killing someone you shouldn't have.

Just got this, you need to mount up 'moral points'. These can be gained by being a friendly character who does not kill human enemies and avoids fights, among others. I preferred this ending to destroying D6, much happier :)

I got this on my first playthrough just playing normally. It was a lot easier then people make it seem. I saved lesnitsky, pavel, and the bear, I didn't take off my mask when told to, I listened to people's conversations (I knew it was important because it would show subtitles for it) I found a lot of the secret areas (but not everything) just by exploring the metro and I killed every enemy except on the missions where you get an achievement for not killing anyone (I even got the achievements for killing 100 humans, 100 mutants, and killing every Red on the chase mission), and some musical instruments give you good moral points too. There are also certain encounters that, based on what you do, give you good moral points. You know that you did something good if there is a bright flash af

this is pretty easy if u know how to do it just remember to press the right button everytime u knock someone out & dont run in the levels be stealthy crouch treat it like a real life situation would u go run and gun in these situations real life cus that would be very intense in reality

This was pretty easy to get, just played the game naturally and I got this. Don't know why you'd need a guide for this achievement.

This seems mostly based on listening in on NPC's talking, finding secret areas, or areas where you hallucinate. The guides say instruments, but the screen only blinks white on your first one. I say just don't kill humans, spend a bunch of time walking around towns listening in conversations. Obviously giving people your military rounds works, and giving the little boy..or girl their bear back.

Just in case people need a ill more understanding of the moral points, every time the screen flashes white, and you hear a water droplet sound, it means u did something "right" after certain conversations your listened to are done, you'll hear/see that. Also there is 2 beggars that u can give a bullet or two to, for extra good points, one is in the reds and one in Venice. My first play thru I killed the traitor, and the rest was all good, except for occasional knife throwing and did not get happy ending. So there's that for a little extra help the forest guardian as well. If not mentioned previously. Good luck

ANYONE having trouble with this, follow this guide, i got this and shadow ranger in just 2 days and all GS for the regular game (no DLC) its very easy to get them just either follow this wiki (the wiki isn't too specific on places but it works
OR the way i did it was this youtube guide (minus the killing people i didn't kill ANYONE, only the flamethrower guy at the end.) follow the two guides n you will get redemption and shadow ranger all in 1 playthrough. just dont do it on hardcore lol it makes it hard to not kill anyone on the chase, its possible to do it like i did but still hard haha.

A way to get the most out of this achievement is by not killing any humans, (That will prevent you from getting bad karma for the bad ending) you will then be rewarded this achievement and also the 'Shadow Ranger' achievement. Think about it...170G.

I honestly don't know how I got the good ending because I got the achievements for killing 100 humans and mutants along the way. But I did all 9 points mentioned in the OP and be as stealthy as possible. When my stealth failed, I used silent weapons and killed enemies. Found a few hidden areas where the screen flashed for moral points. I still fully expected a bad ending but somehow I got this instead.

Afterwards I reloaded Garden, defeated the bear and this time I left it to die by the watchmen. Went through the last 2 chapters, and I got the bad ending C'est la vie.
