Introduction:
Welcome to MLB Front Office Manager. This game has 25 achievements worth 1000. First let me tell you a little about the rules of baseball, this is just for anyone who might not know about the game. The regular season consists of 162 games and during the season you play against many different teams. Usually you play either 2, 3, or 4 games in a row against a team and this is called a series. If you win all of the games, you swept the series and if you lose them all, you got swept. There are two leagues in the MLB, the National League and the American League. In each league, there are three divisions, East, Central, and West. At the end of the regular season, the team with the best record in each division moves on to the playoffs. Out of the teams that don’t win their division, one more team from each league moves on, the team with the best record.

The playoffs consist of 3 rounds, the Division Series, the Championship Series, and the World Series. The Division series is played with two teams from the same league and it is a best out of 5 series. The Championship series is played with two teams from the same league, the two teams that one the two Division Series for that league and it is a best of 7 series. The World Series is played between an American League and a National League team. It is the two teams that won their respective Championship Series. This is a best of 7 series also. None of the achievements are glitched and there are no missable achievements that you have to worry about.

Step 1: Fantasy Draft
From the main menu, click on Fantasy. Turn Fantasy Draft On and then complete the entire draft. See “Fantasy Drafter” for more detailed information on how to get this.

Step 2: First Season
This is where you win a team’s first championship. When you first start Career mode, pick one of the teams that hasn’t one a World Series. Once you start, proceed like the achievement descriptions say and sign a free agent and make a trade. Once you get to December 11, go to the Rule 5 Draft. Draft one player and then skip to the end of the draft. Once this is complete, sim to the beginning of the season. Go to your schedule and press to view your Minor League schedule. Manage a minor league game to get two achievements. Once you reach the first week of June, go to the Amateur Draft and complete the entire draft. After this, complete the season and make sure you make it to the playoffs. Once you are in the playoffs, make sure you win each series to win the World Series.

Step 3: World Series Firsts

This is where you get the remaining achievements that are for winning the World Series with a specific team for the first time. You have to start a new career for each team. I suggest making more than one save slot for each team so that if one turns out bad, you can load an older one. See the specific achievements for more detailed information on how to obtain them.

Step 4: 30 Year Career

This is where you get the rest of the achievements. By now you should have both draft achievements, both game management achievements, all of the World Series victory achievements, and both of the achievements where you have to make one trade and sign one player. You could also have the achievement for bidding on one Japanese player but if you don’t, you will get it here.

It is best to start a whole new career for this as opposed to continuing one of the careers you had just to win a World Series. Pick a team with a high budget, like the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, or Chicago Cubs because it makes it a lot easier because you don’t have to worry about not having enough money. During the 30 year career, you will make 100 trades, sign 50 players, and win bids on 20 Japanese players. You will also max a stat and reach level 30 for your manager. Once you have obtained all of these achievements, sim the rest of your career. It will take a really long time so make sure you have something else to do.

Conclusion:

The achievements for this game are not too hard, but they are not that easy. You should be able to get the full 1000 but it will take you a while and you will probably get frustrated at the game a lot if your team doesn't win many games

Amateur Drafter15
Complete an entire Amateur Draft. (1)

The Amateur Draft usually takes place the first week of June. While you are playing through a season in Career Mode, go to your schedule and go to June 1st and sign off until this day. Once the game stops simming, from the menu, click Advance League. A couple days will pass and a popup will come up saying that the Amateur Draft is about to start and it will ask if you want to go to the draft, click Yes. The draft has 25 rounds and you have to play through all of them. Just keep picking the top guy on the list every time and the draft will be over in no time. You cannot skip to the end of the draft, you have to complete it yourself. Once you finish all 25 rounds and press to pass through the draft summary, the achievement will unlock.

Rule 5 Drafter15
Draft a player in the Rule 5 Draft.

The Rule 5 Draft is on December 11th in Career Mode. When you first start Career Mode, click on Advance League. You will be brought to the next major date during the offseason. Continue clicking this until it says that the Rule 5 Draft is about to start. When it says this, click that you want to start the draft. Once the draft starts and it is your turn to pick, pick any player that you want. It is best to pick the player on top of the list because they are the best overall, but you can pick whoever you want. Once you draft one player, you will unlock the achievement and you can either continue until the end of the draft or simulate until the end.

Field Manager30
Manage a game from beginning to end.

See “Minor Manager” for more information.

You can either play two different games to get this achievement and the minor league one, but it is a lot easier to manage a minor league game only because you will get both achievements.

Minor Manager30
Manage a minor league game from beginning to end.

It is best to get both of these achievements in the same game so you don’t have to play two games. While in Career Mode, once the season starts, scroll down the career menu and click on schedule. Press to view your AAA schedule. Press over the next day that you have a game and then click on View Today’s Games. Scroll down and click on your game and then click on Manage This Game. Once you are in the game, keep pressing when you have a decision on what to do. You don’t have to win the game, you just have to finish the game. The game takes about 10 minutes if you keep pressing whenever you have a decision to make. Once you finish the game, you will get both of these achievements.

World Series Victor125
Have your team win the World Series in Career mode. (1)

You will get this achievement win the World Series. You don’t have to actually manage any World Series games, you can simulate them, just as long as you win.

See “Break the Curse” or any of the “First Title” achievements for more information on how to win.

Max a Stat50
Max out one of your manager's stat categories in Career mode.

You can max out your stats by doing well in Career Mode. You get EXP for doing good things, like sweeping a series, winning 10 games, winning postseason games, and signing good free agents. You also lose EXP for doing bad things, like getting swept in a series or losing 5 games in a row. The EXP that you gain goes towards ranking up. You can view how much EXP you have by going to My Career. When you rank up, you gain points to use towards maxing out one of your stat categories. Choose whichever category has the most bars filled already and continue filling it up. You can fill up 2 bars every time you rank up. You should easily be able to get this while going for the 30 year career achievement.

Make a Deal10
Successfully propose and close a trade offer in Career mode.

This is a very easy achievement. When you are in career mode, scroll down and click on Transactions. When you click on it, you should have more options on your screen, scroll down and click on trades. You can trade with any team and you can trade for any player. It is easiest to make a new career or use a career that you are not trying to win anything and trade for a really bad player. Or once you make the trade you can quit without saving. Try to trade for a player that is bad overall and trade away one of your best players on your team.

Once you offer the trade, go to the Career main menu and Advance to the next day. If there isn’t a popup showing that the trade was accepted, advance another day. Continue advancing until the trade is accepted or denied (it will most likely be accepted). Once there is a popup showing that the trade was accepted, click Finalize. Once you click this, advance one more day and the achievement should unlock.

The Art of the Deal50
Successfully make a total of 100 trades in Career mode.

All 100 trades must be done in the same career mode, so they do not carry over from save to save. When you are in career mode, scroll down and click on Transactions. When you click on it, you should have more options on your screen, scroll down and click on trades. You can trade with any team and you can trade for any player. It is easiest to make a new career or use a career that you are not trying to win anything and trade for a really bad player. Once you click this, advance one more day so the deal is officially finalized. Do this 100 times in one career to get the achievement.

It is easiest to do this while you are going for the 30 year career achievement because you will have a lot of time. Try to boost your Trade stat from the My Career menu. This will make it easier to do trades and you won’t have to trade good players for bad players every time.

Sign a Free Agent10
Successfully sign a free agent to your team in Career mode.

See “Free Agent Fan” for more information.

Free Agent Fan50
Successfully sign 50 free agents to your team in Career mode.

All 50 free agent signings must be done in the same Career so they don’t carry over from save to save. When you are in the Career Mode menu, scroll down and click on Transactions. Now scroll down more and click on Free Agents. You can sign any player that you want. The fastest way to get a free agent to sign with you is to choose a bad player (someone with a low overall rating) and offer him a contract for $1 million. Once you offer the player a contract, go back to the Career Mode menu and click Advance to Next Day. You should get an E-Mail when the player accepts your offer and a popup should come up saying that you need to move the player from your Pending Transactions to a roster.

From the menu, scroll down and click on Pending Transactions. You should see the person you made your offer to on the list on the right and your roster on the left. Press to switch to a minor league roster. Scroll down the roster list until you see an empty slot, press over the free agent’s name and then press again over the empty slot. Do this 50 times to get the achievement.

It is best to go for this while you are going for the 30 year career achievement because you will have a lot of time to get it. You don’t have to sign bad players all the time, when the season ends, there will be a lot of good free agents available so you can try to get some of them. Try increasing your Contract Negotiation stat to make it easier to sign free agents and picking a team with a lot of money, like the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, or Chicago Cubs, so you have a high payroll.

When you run out of room on your MLB roster to place the players after you sign them, press to go to your minor league teams. Once you fill up your next roster, move on to the next one.

Bidding War30
Bid on and sign a player from Japan in Career mode.

See “Bidding Veteran” for more information.

Bidding Veteran35
Bid on and sign 20 players from Japan in Career mode.

When you are in the career mode menu, scroll down and click on Scouting. When the Scouting menu opens up, scroll down and click on Budget Allocation. Scroll all the way to the bottom and press

From the Career menu, scroll down and click on Scouting, then click on Japan Bidding. You will now see the names of the players that you can bid on. Press on their name to bid on them and then set what price you think is good. It is best to set a very high bidding price so you can win. Once you win the bid for a player, you will have to sign them to a contract.

You will not be able to get all 20 in one season, so it is best to get this while you are going for the 30 year career achievement. on Japan to invest scouts there. You will now receive updates when Japanese players want to play in the MLB and you will have the chance to bid on them. You will get these notifications at the end of the postseason, most likely, and you will have to bid on them.

Fantasy Drafter15
Complete an entire Fantasy Draft.

To start a fantasy draft, from the main menu, click on Fantasy and then New. Scroll down and turn Fantasy Draft On. You can make the other settings whatever you want, I suggest turning Budget Off. Pick whichever team you want and then you will be brought to the draft. There are 25 rounds in the draft and you have to go through all of them. It does not take that long though. Do not sim to the end of the draft or you will not get the achievement. You have to play through all of the rounds. It does not matter what players you draft, just pick the top player all the time to make it go faster.

Break the Curse35
Win the World Series with the Chicago Cubs in Career Mode. (2)

Once you start career mode with the Cubs and you progress to the Free Agent signing period within the first couple weeks, try to sign as many good free agents as you can. When you can sign free agents, scroll down and click on Transactions, scroll down more and click on Free Agents. Once you see the list of free agents, scroll to the left so their overall rating is highlighted and click twice on the . This will sort the players and have the best players at the top. Make an offer to a lot of good free agents, make it a really high salary for a lot of years so they accept it. By signing a lot of good free agents, you will have a much better team and have a better chance of winning the World Series.

Once the regular season starts, sim week by week and make sure you win a lot of games. You don’t have to have an extremely good record to make the playoffs, you just have to have a better record than everyone else is your division. To check what place you are in your division, scroll down and click on Stats & Standings, then click on MLB Standings. Your team will be highlighted and it will show what the other teams’ records. Where it shows GB, this means games behind. For every win you have more than another team, this counts as 0.5 GB. Every loss you have less than other teams also counts as 0.5 GB. If you win the division by the end of the year, you will make it to the playoffs. Save after every game you win to make sure you move on to the next round.

Rockies' First Title25
Win the Rockies their first World Series in Career Mode.

See “Break the Curse” for more information.

These teams will not have a lot of money like the Cubs do so you will have to be smarter with who you sign and for how much money. Try to sign good players but for not as much money. Usually the players who have an animated face will not cost as much as the players with an actual picture do, so try to sign these players.

I suggest making more than one save slot for each team so that if one turns out bad, you can load an older save. Save often so if you go on a losing streak, you won’t have to redo a lot of games.

Master GM125
Reach level 30 in Career mode.

You can rank up by doing well in Career mode. You get EXP for doing good things, like sweeping a series, winning 10 games, winning postseason games, and signing good free agents. You also lose EXP for doing bad things, like getting swept in a series or losing 5 games in a row. The EXP that you gain goes towards ranking up. You can view how much EXP you have and how much more EXP you need until you rank up by going to My Career. Use a good team like the Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees so you will be able to get EXP faster and easier because you will win a lot more.

You should easily be able to reach level 30 when you are going for the 30 year career achievement.

Historic Career150
Successfully complete a 30 year career, becoming an all-time great GM! (1)

It is easiest to do this with a team with a high budget, such as the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, or Chicago Cubs, but you can do this with any team you want. When you can first sign free agents in the offseason when you first start, sign as many good ones as you can to extremely long contracts. This way, you won’t have to worry about them becoming free agents again.

Once you have all of the other achievements and this is the last achievement you need, from the career menu, scroll all the way down and click on Settings, and then Sim Settings. Turn everything so that it says either Auto or Continue. This will prevent everything from stopping your simming and will make it go faster. To start simming, from the career menu, press Advance League and it will sim you until the first day of the next year. Once it stops simming, do it again. The simming will stop at the beginning of Spring Training, the Regular Season, and the Playoffs but once you pass these areas, you won’t have to press anything.
