Introduction
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is an interesting game. While the plot isn't that extraordinary the gameplay is mildly entertaining. Based on the Mortal Kombat-style of fighting, you pit DC heroes like Batman against Outworld psychopaths like Scorpion.
This game can be beaten in less than 100 hours, of course, but if you're like me, you've become so frustrated that you wish you never popped this game into your disc tray. In any event, here's the rundown.

Step 1: Story Mode (9 for 210 )
First of all, as a warning, there have been several complaints about these Achievements not unlocking. You get one Achievement for beating Chapter 1, Chapter 3 and Chapter 5 as well as one for completing the entire story; this should give you 8 Achievements (4 for MK and 4 for DC). The last Achievement in this set, The Ultimate Evil!, will unlock when you complete both story modes. Keep in mind that if the Achievement for a chapter or story doesn't unlock, you have to replay the entire thing over again.

Step 2: Arcade Mode (6 for 185 )
Arcade mode is a lot less time consuming than story mode, but isn't any more entertaining. Just beat Arcade Mode with every character Mortal Kombat (including Shao Khan) and go to town then repeat with the DC characters (including Darkseid). To speed the process up, put the difficulty to Easy and make it one round lasting for thirty seconds.

Now turn the difficulty to Very Hard and beat it without using a continue. Most people use Superman (for his laser eyes) or Green Lantern (for his hammer), but you can use whoever you're good with. Just keep the rounds at thirty seconds.
The last Arcade-based Achievement is to perform an 11-hit combo. Easily done with The Flash by pressing Back, Forward, .

Step 3: Kombo Challenges (23 for 160 )
These are the reason this game is a 10/10 difficulty. They seem like harmless little things, after all they're only worth 5 each, but when you actually play them, you'll learn that a good chunk of that 100 hours is spent on them.

Just follow the combination at the top of the screen to perform the move and when you complete it, a huge explosion of colored paper will appear along with the word 'Success'. As you advance, the combos get harder and harder so be patient and you'll get them eventually. Also check the forum for videos as they are insanely helpful. There are 22 characters to complete, each one with 10 combos. Yeah, 220 combos to perform. Good luck.
The 23rd Achievement is the easiest. Just complete all the combos for all 22 characters.

Step 4: Online Mode (5 for 200 )
The online Achievements aren't as bad as the combos but you will definitely get frustrated. Just get a Flawless Victory, win a Chat Room match, play 100 Chat Room matches (you don't have to win), play 10 Ranked Matches (you don't have to win) and win 25 Ranked Matches in a row.

For the 25 in a row, use Superman (for his laser eyes) or Green Lantern (for his hammer). These characters' attacks keep their opponent at a distance and thus make it easier to maintain good HP. Just beware of people who like to be total jerks online and disconnect mid-fight. This WILL reset your streak!

Step 5: Special Moves and Finishers (5 for 240 )
This step is purely for the Finishers and Special attacks, but you can get a 5th Achievement that otherwise would take a lot of time to get. Go into Versus Mode with a second controller (or Guitar Hero guitar) and set up one round for thirty seconds. Perform your Specials and Finishers on the idle character and when the round is over start it up again. You need 200 Versus Matches for the Achievement.

There is a great list of Finishers in the Guide located in the MK vs DCU forum. You get two Achievements for performing any Finisher (one for Brutality, one for Fatality) and one Achievement for performing all the Finishers.

Special Moves, unlike Finishers, can be performed at any time. For example, when you freeze someone with Sub-Zero, you've performed a Special Move. Every character has 5 or 6 so get a complete list (located in the MK vs DCU guide in the forums) and go nuts for the 5th Achievement.

Conclusion
While the Achievements look fairly easy, they can be a pain. In fact, some would say that this game is as frustrating as Dragonball Z: Burst Limit. In any case, you will sooner or later get your full 1000, albeit at the cost of your sanity and maybe even a few controllers.

Just keep trying and use every video and walkthrough you have at your disposal and, as I said before, good luck!

  • Beat Arcade Max without using a continue

One of the hardest achievements in the game. You have to beat Arcade Mode on the highest difficulty setting without using any continues. Set difficulty to Very Hard, rounds to 1 and timer to 30 and then spam any broken cheap move in the game. Darkseid's Omega Beam (back, back, ) is highly favored by some players, Superman's laser beam move should also work pretty well.
  • Finish Kombo Challenge mode on MK and DC

This achievement unlocks after you completed every character's Kombo Challenge. Check out this YouTube channel for video guides on all characters' Kombo Challenges.
  • Win a Chat Room Match Online

Simply join a chat room, challenge whoever is available and win the fight. This can be boosted with a friend.
  • Play 10 Ranked Matches Online

Simply host or join 10 ranked matches. No need to win them, playing will do for this achievement.
  • Win 25 Ranked Matches in a row

Thought the 10 straight ranked matches in Street Fighter IV was more than enough? Well, meet this insane little puppy. Winning 25 ranked matches in a row is just ridiculously hard, of course depending on the skill of the opponents you're up against. Some people will glitch, cheat, or quit out and the best part is: this will end your streak. Seeing how you always join random people when looking for ranked matches, this achievement really cannot be boosted. If you want to give it a try however, just request a boosting session in our Achievement Trading Thread. Good luck.
  • Play 100 Chat Lobby Matches Online

Keep joining chat lobbies and challenging people to fights. You have to play 100 matches this way, not win them, to get this achievement.
  • Get a Flawless Victory Online

This can be boosted with a friend through chat lobby matches, but you can probably also just use a character that you're comfortable and try to get this in a match with a random opponent.
