NBA 2K12 Achievements

Home Court

Earn the NBA's best record in The Association mode (at least 30 games played).

You need to play at least 35 games and end up with the best record in the NBA for this achievement. You should also play the deciding game to lock up home court.

Play the first 35 games (can be done with 1 minute quarters and sliders on)
Sim the next 25 games
(If you had a record close to 50-10 after the first 60 games you will want to monitor other teams and make sure 1-2 teams are still close to you in record. Keep an eye on games left in the season and your wins to theirs)
Make a duplicate save file and turn auto save off
Sim the remaining games until you are one game away from clinching the best record in the NBA
(EX. You are 60-17 with 5 games left. Next closest team to your record is 56-22 with 4 games left)
Play and win the next game. The achievement will unlock when you are back in the menu.

Rookie difficulty and one minute quarters worked for me. It took me a few years to build the Jazz up so I only had to play the minimum of thirty games, but if you pick the right team, you should be able to skip the rebuilding process. The achievement popped right after I played the thirtieth game and had secured the best record (before all 82 games had been played).

my record was 48W-10L after i finished playing the 30 games i simed the 28 games

season right?

Didn't see this mentioned but you can go into a game then hit start quit sim to the end of game and it will count as a game played. Once you get to 30 just turn auto save off sim to the end of the season and hopefully you get the best record if not reload. Then do the sim quit thing in the playoffs as well to get that achievement. You never have to play an actual game.

Played 30 full games, at 5 min quarters, had the best record by 4 games. No achievement :( i put in so much time, it auto saves once season ends which is when i thought it would pop. disappointed.

I was worried because it did not unlock for me after 30 games. So, I played another and it unlocked. It will unlock in the middle of the season, not at the end of the year-recap. Whenever you lock up the best record it will unlock as long as you have played 30 games (or 31 in my case).

*Easy Way*

-Turn sliders on, making the opponent easier than poop
-Turn the quarter length down to 1 minute
-Make about 4 points just to be safe
-Turn shot clock off
-Hold the ball tell time runs out :D
