Earn a Distinction in every single-player Cop mission

There are 48 Enforcer Events to get Gold on. This will take about 10 hours and some retrying of events to place first. Try to stay behind a racer to slipstream and practice drifting to help build up your nitrous. Keep practicing and most of the events should not be too much of a problem except for some really tricky ones that should come if you just keep at it.

Some tips are:

  • Learn when to boost. Going up hills and long straight aways will be perfect times to use your precious nitrous.
  • Explore the shortcuts. Some shortcuts will help you a whole lot and others will mess you up even more. If you are having trouble with an event, find out which route benefits you the best.
  • Drift. This is one of the better ways to get your nitrous refilled and will help you from hitting walls on those sharp turns.
  • Do not waste power ups. These will help you during Interceptor events and Hot Pursuits. Start the events trying to use brute force to take out your opponents. When you are getting low on time or have a lot of racers about to be knocked out, use your equipment and take them out.

You can restart the event if you mess up to bad so you do not have to watch too many loading screens. On the downside, you do not get any bounty if you do this. So if you are getting 2nd or 3rd place, the bounty you earn can help you rank up for the rank achievements.

Not as hard as it may first look, just keep trying till you pick the perfect car.

Yes, distinction is the gold for the cop missions and some are pretty tough and took me awhile on two of the interceptor ones but the toughest I think are the rapid respones!! Anyone having trouble on any of those as well?

I can't ever get distinction in those damn rapid responses! On a couple, I'm literally a couple milliseconds off of getting distinction! And I do my damnedest to not hit anything (because of those penalties, which for me, is hard to do!

Rapid responses really stress me out. I went mad the last time i tried one and was like 1 second from distinction.

You REALLY have to find the perfect car for some of these Distinctions. I hate when games make you do that, ESPECIALLY since it's so many different choices of cars. I did get this one after awhile though.... And I got depressed everytime it was RAPID RESPONSE time. (LOL) That's the only ones that I just HATE. That RAPID RESPONSE on the interstate was TOO damn hard.

Just finished this one. Would recommend just keep practicing on the rapid responses. And I agree with BranLP84, that rapid response on the interstate was too damn hard. Too many npc cars.

Which car would you use for the Rapid Response on the interstate? I've tried all of them and can't get it within about 3 or 4 seconds.

I don't know if anyone else is still playing this.. but what I found helpful is to youtube the video of the level, like "so and so distinction on interstate" or whatever. it really helped me to just see the corners in advance, just keep pausing, watch a bit of the video for a couple turns, and do it like that. really helped for the tricky ones.
