Introduction
Real Soccer 2013 is a freemium soccer simulation game that revolves around controlling and managing a single team. As you play and win games, you earn coins which can be used to purchase upgrades for your facilities and train your players. However, RS2013 takes the freemium model to the extreme. Your player's stamina reduces very rapidly and they frequently become injured. When this happens, they need to rest at the spa or go to the hospital to heal. This process can either be done by waiting a period of real-world time, or by spending dollars to instantly complete the process. And you guessed it...the dollars can only be purchased for your real, hard-earned cash. These dollars also allow you to upgrade everything, including your players, earlier in the game. Unfortunately, the quality of the players you get actually depends on how much money you spend. You can only get the worst of players for free in the game. Trying to get anyone half-decent so you can legitimately compete against the opponents requires dollars. You can train your players, but the cost is very high for how little it actually improves each player (and this training also takes real world time to complete). The controls are for the most part good, but the player switching will undoubtedly frustrate you. For a more in-depth review of the game from WPCentral, click HERE. Currently the game is FREE in the Windows Phone Store.

Step 1: Grind through the game
There is not much to say here. You just have to grind through the game. You will play through unlimited number of seasons. Each season consists of a set number of games to play. The large scale grouping is a league, with the team with the most points at the end winning the league. Added into the league schedule are tournaments which have fewer games and work like a bracket. Winning the tournaments will net you cups, which are needed for one of the achievements.

Conclusion
Real Soccer 2013 is probably too freemium for anyone to actually enjoy playing it. The shear amount of time and money you will have to put into it to even put a dent towards completing the game is a little extreme. This is why I personally recommend staying away from it. However, if you like living on the edge, or just plain love soccer/football, read on!

*WARNING* Currently to complete the game, you do need to spend about $650.00 of real money. One achievement requires that you hire gold and silver players, which you can only get by spending money. Another achievement requires you to max out all of your facility buildings, which also requires real money. This type of practice is prohibited by Microsoft (forcing consumers to spend real money to earn achievements), so there is a decent possibility that this will change in the future with some type of a game relisting or patch. Stay tuned!

*Real Soccer 2013 (USA) and Real Football 2013 (Rest of World) are actually the same exact game. They just have different names and are listed in different Marketplaces. However, they do have separate achievement lists. You can download both versions of the game if you have a Windows Phone 8. You will be able to earn 400 total gamerscore. See THIS thread for more information.*

GENERAL TIPS:

  • If at any point in any game you want to restart the game, just turn off your phone (hold down the power button). When you boot back up into the game, it will be before the previous game even started with no negative effects at all. This technique is good for ensuring you win all the tournaments.
  • Pay attention to your objectives that show up as messages from the Facilities screen (envelope, top left corner of screen). Completing objectives is often essential for being able to qualify for tournaments. You can also look ahead in your calendar to see what types of upgrades you may need to your staff and facilities to be able to qualify for upcoming tournaments. You should try and meet all of those requirements, as winning each tournament at least once is tied to the "Legend Player" achievement. Otherwise, if you do not meet the upcoming requirements, you will be forced to skip that tournament and wait until it comes around again. WARNING: You can also not qualify for anything at all the next season if you do not upgrade the right things. This will force you to have to spend real world money to even be able to continue playing the game at all. You main goal should be meeting the requirements for next seasons league first, as those have the most games. Secondary, you should try to meet the requirements for some of the cups/tournaments.
  • The game is quite challenging considering your players will be way worse than your opponents, there is no difficulty setting, and your AI teammates are 100% useless in every way.
  • On defense, I find it best just to hold down the "Press" button, which will make your player automatically chase and "gently" try and steal the ball from the opponent. I also manually try and steer my defensive player with the virtual stick in the correct direction as I think it makes your player move faster than just holding the "Press" button down.
  • I never use the "Tackle" button, and neither should you. You are almost guaranteed to get a penalty, and more often than not yellow or red cards. Unless you somehow become a master at slide tackling, stay away from it. It will just hurt you. A red card removes the player from your current game, leaving you shorthanded (no one can substitute) and they will have to sit out the next game (if it was a hard red card).
  • Training your players is almost entirely useless and I would recommend against it. Training just one stat (each player has like 15 trainable stats) up one point cost 200 coins. That is a decent amount of money for how little and miniscule the reward is. You will literally have to put 50,000+ coins into a player to make him noticeably better than he already is.
  • The exception I see is training the goalkeeper. That I believe may be worth while to train the goalkeeper's "Goalkeeping" stat. There is nothing worse than having a terrible goalkeeper.
  • Only the next highest level of facility or coach will be available to buy with coins. All of the others are only available for dollars until you unlock the previous level before it with coins. Several of the buildings will also require you to spend dollars to level up as well, as you will no longer be able to spend coins in some cases (Hospital Lvl 4, Spa Lvl 4, Club Shop Lvl 7, and more).
  • Make sure you use the sponsor feature found in you HQ facility. Sponsors work like mini-objective that you try and complete each game to earn extra coins. There is no penalty for activating them. They can only give you more coins! Pick the ones that mesh with your play style.

Natural-Born Winner1
Win your first match

Just win any match, by scoring more goals than your opponent. You can win in regular time, extra time, or penalty kicks, as long as you do not lose or tie, this achievement will unlock.

Poor Goalkeeper!5
Score 5 goals or more in a single game

You need to score 5 goals in a single game. This can be a little challenging because the games are quite short and getting the ball of the other team is not that easy, especially when the other team has way better players than you do. You will need to score nearly every time you get possession of the ball. Penalty kicks sometimes do count towards the 5. So if you are struggling to reach 5 goals, try and take it to penalty kicks (tied after regular time and extra time) and score as many goals as you can there. Penalty kicks do not always count however, so this may take a few tries. And remember, penalty kicks can only occur in elimination games.

Hat trick5
Score 3 goals in the same match with the same player

Just try to pass to the same player each time. It helps if you have a good striker the is fast to sprint through and score with. Because the strikers (position "CS" in the game) play the farthest up in the offensive zone, it is probably best to attempt this with one of them, but of course is possible with any player.

Top Scorer15
Score 25 goals in the same tournament with the same player

The description is a little bit misleading. Not can the requirements for this achievement be met in tournaments, but they can also be met in leagues, which consist of more games, making this achievement easier. This won't be possible until you get farther into the game when the leagues are longer. Initially they will only a few games, but will increase in length as you progress. Follow similar advice to that in the "Hat trick" achievement. You an check how many goals some of your top scorers have from the Stats Menu, found from the menu in the Facilities screen. The achievement will unlock when you finish the last game of the tournament or league.

NOTE: In my game, the amount of goals that my players were credited with was glitchy. It seemed as though every goal a player scored actually counted as any where from two to four goals. This would make the achievement easier to obtain.

Cold Blood3
Win one match on penalties

This achievement requires that you win one match on penalty kicks. In order to be able to get to the penalty kicks, you must be tied with the other team, both at the end of regular time and extra time. You also need to be playing in an elimination game (usually these are all games in tournaments), because if you are not the game can end in a draw and you will not play extra time or go to penalty kicks to determine a winner. Penalty kicks last 5 rounds, with the team scoring the most times in those 5 being the winner. If it is tied after 5 rounds, single sudden-death rounds ensue until a winner is determined.

For kicking, you will need take it easy on your shots. I can score almost every time by holding the virtual stick just to the left of straight up, and then giving the shoot button a very slightly longer touch than just tapping it. It is very finicky on how long you hold the button for shooting down. Too long and you will blow it way over the net. Alternatively, you can also aim slightly left of down on the virtual stick and you can just blast the shoot as fast as you want, but the goalie does have a better chance of saving it.

For goalkeeping on these shots, just use the virtual stick. Just hold either left or right on the virtual stick to dive that direction. You can also just do nothing, which will save the shot where they shoot it right into you. Saving the ball is nearly equivalent to saying you made a good guess.

Late Victory3
Win one match in extra time

This achievement requires that you win one match in extra time. In order to be able to get to extra time, you must be tied with the other team at the end of regular time. You also need to be playing in an elimination game (usually these are all games in tournaments), because if you are not the game can end in a draw and you will not get to play extra time to determine a winner.

Extra time consists of two 15-minute periods, with the team who scores the most goals in that time being the winner. It is not sudden death.

Just Started and Already Over5
Score 3 goals in the first 30 minutes of a match

You need to score three goals in the first 30 minutes of that match (before the in-game clock reaches 30:00). This will take many tries as it is hard to score that rapidly, considering it is quite difficult to take the ball of the opponent that fast. They tend to pass it around and play keep-away a lot of the time, making this achievement tricky. One tip I can offer is to learn the move the other team does on the kickoff, as they will do it identical every time. That way after you score a goal, and the other team is kicking off, you will be a step ahead to try and steal the ball. Just keep at it. With a little determination and some luck, you will unlock this achievement.

Living on the Edge20
Get 5 yellow cards and no red cards in the same match

This achievement is very tricky. You need to get a yellow card with 5 different players without getting a red card at all (either hard red or soft red). You are going to need to use the "Tackle" button and hope for the best. I find that tackling opponents who are running straight at your often results in a yellow card, while tackling opponents from the side or behind is almost always a red card. You also need to make sure you get the yellow cards with 5 DIFFERENT players on your team, because if you get two yellow cards with the same player they will get a soft red card, voiding the achievement. Once you get a good technique down for yellow cards, you should substitute your player each time you get a yellow card. They can't get another yellow card from the bench! Alternatively, you could just pay close attention if you do not want to substitute and remember who who got the cards with already. The name of the player you are currently controlling appears in the top right corner of screen, along with their stamina bar. This achievement unlocks after the game is over, so make sure once you get 5 yellow cards to focus on not getting any red cards before the game ends.

Assist Man15
Rack up 25 assists in the same tournament with the same player

The description is a little bit misleading. Not can the requirements for this achievement be met in tournaments, but they can also be met in leagues, which consist of more games, making this achievement easier. This won't be possible until you get farther into the game when the leagues are longer. Initially they will only a few games, but will increase in length as you progress. Follow similar advice to that in the "Hat trick" achievement, just pass it around a time or two before you go in for your goals. This will most likely need to be one of your midfielders, as they act as the distributors to get the ball from the defensive zone to your scorers. You an check how many assists some of your top players have from the Stats Menu, found from the menu in the Facilities screen. The achievement will unlock when you finish the last game of the tournament or league.

NOTE: In my game, the amount of assists that my players were credited with was glitchy. It seemed as though every assist a player got actually counted as any where from two to four assists sometimes. This would make the achievement easier to obtain.

Great Save!3
Save a penalty kick

This achievement requires that you make a single save with your goalkeeper on a penalty kick.

To make a save, just use the virtual stick. Just hold either left or right on the virtual stick to dive that direction. You can also just do nothing, which will save the shot where they shoot it right into you. This will require a bit of luck as you need to guess correctly where the opponent will shoot in order to make a save. This may take several different games to attempt. If you make one or two saves in 5 rounds of penalty kicks, you are doing pretty good.

You Now Own a City10
Max out all buildings

*REQUIRES REAL MONEY TO UNLOCK* In order to unlock this achievement, you must unlock the highest level of all of your buildings. This includes the Spa (Lvl 7), Hospital (Lvl 7), Gym (Lvl 7), Club Shop (Lvl 7), Stadium (Lvl 28), HQ (Lvl 7), and Tactic Center (Lvl 7). This achievement will require a ton of coins to complete, as well as money to purchase dollars. Initially, it appears that most of the levels are available for purchase only with dollars, but as soon as you purchase the previous level of the building, the next level becomes available for purchase with coins. You do reach a point in ALL of the facilities where you must spend dollars to unlock the max rank. The price breakdown in dollars is as follows (thanks to Grantbear):

Final Stadium upgrade: 50
Final HQ upgrade: 50
Final Tactics Center upgrade: 50
Final Club Shop upgrade: 50
Final Gym upgrade: 50
Final Spa upgrade: 115
Final Hospital upgrade: 115

This totals to 480 dollars, which is equivalent to about $40 of real money...

Veni, Vidi, Vici10
Meet a sponsor's target

Sponsors are available from within your HQ building and allow you to set mini-objectives for each game you play that have cash payouts. The objectives require you to do such things as not allow any goals in a match, score 3 goals in a match, win a match, etc. All you need to do is complete one of them. You can have two sponsors active at a time. Just make sure you set some easy ones as active in the HQ, then play matches until you meet one of the objectives. The achievement will unlock at the end of the game when it is calculating your coin payout.

Great Finish5
Score two goals in the last 20 minutes of a match

You will need to score two goals in the last 20 minutes (after the in-game clock has reached 70:00). Follow the same guidelines laid out in the "Just Started and Already Over" achievement.

NOTE: This achievement may also require that the other team not score during that time as well. One time I scored two goals quickly in the last 20 minutes of the game, but then allowed a goal to the opponent afterwards before the game ended, and the achievement did not unlock.

Comeback10
Avoid being defeated after going down 3-0 in match

This achievement requires that you come back to win a match in which you were losing 3 to 0 at one point. The best way to go about attempting this achievement is to let or force the opponent to score 3 goals as fast as possible from the start of the game. This is done by letting them score the first goal somehow. Then for the next two kickoffs, you will have the ball. Just pass the ball quickly backwards to your goalie and have him run into your own net with it. Once you are down 3-0, start your comeback victory. Depending on your skill, this will take any number of tries. Use the restarting you phone trick and try again if your attempt is a failure and you do not want to lose the game.

Long-Term Comeback10
Pass the turn in a two-leg match after having lost the first match

This achievement requires that you come back to win a two leg match, after having lost the first leg of the match. A two-leg match is basically a match that is played across two full 90-minute games, with all of the goals compounding from both games to determine the winner. Essentially, you need to lose the first leg, then outscore the opponent enough in the second leg to win the entire match. You can think of each leg, or game, as a half in the match.

Example: Leg 1: Team A beats Team B 2-1. Leg 2: Team B beats Team A 5-0. Team B wins 6-2.

Even though both Team A and Team B won a leg of the match, Team B wins because when the scores are totaled, Team B has more goals. If you were Team B, you would unlock this achievement.

NOTE: Two-leg matches do not start appearing until later in the game in some tournaments. The game will not explicitly tell you your are playing a two-leg match. You will need to recognize it from the schedule or bracket. Your team will have be scheduled to play the other team two times in a row in a tournament. This is a two-leg match.

One for All, All for One15
Score with 5 different players in the same match

This is even more difficult than just scoring 5 total goals in match for the "Poor Goalkeeper!" achievement. You need to have at least one goal with 5 DIFFERENT players. The best strategy is to substitute out any of your players that score goals, especially your strikers as they will be scoring most often. Anyone playing striker positions has the best chance of scoring in general. The only exception to this rule may be any 5-star players you have, which could be used to move through the opponent with ease and distribute the ball to other players on your team for them to score.

Tiki-Taka10
Have 70% possession of the ball in a single match

Possession is just which team is controlling the ball. You just need to have the ball for 70% of the game. This may sound hard, but it is actually fairly easy. Anytime you get the ball, just take it back to your defensive zone and pass the ball around between your defenders and goalie, keeping it away from the opponent. Usually only one opponent will try to take the ball off of you, so just wait until he gets a little bit close and pass it around. If you are familiar with soccer just keep doing the horseshoe play. Do not worry about scoring at all, just focus on this. If the opponent manages to steal the ball, or starts with the ball on the kickoff, get it off them as quickly as possible and then continue on passing it around. You can check your possession % of the ball at halftime when the stats come on-screen. You just need to have 70% of greater on the final stats screen at the end of the game for the achievement to unlock.

The Specialist5
Score directly from a free kick

This achievement is quite tricky because the computer opponents rarely will make fouls, let alone one that is close enough to their net for you to score on. Just keep at it and hope for the best, and when you get your chance, even if it is a long shot, go for it. It is possible to score from near mid-field. It will likely be much easier to do this early on in your career, when the opposing team and goalkeeper are lower skilled.

Unbeatable20
Remain undefeated in a league schedule of 30 matches or more

This is probably one of the more difficult achievements in the game and is not even open to earn until later in the game when the leagues consist of more games. Initially leagues will only be 5 or 10 games, but will increase in length as you progress. Once you get into the Pro League, which is the first one that is more than 30 games, you must not lose a game the entire schedule. Wins and draws are fine.

The restarting technique from the "General Tips" section above will come in extra handy here. If you are about to lose a game in the league, just turn off your phone. Load the game back up and try again. Easy as that. The achievement will unlock after you finish the last game of the league.

You can always check your record from the stats, which is found under menu from the Facilities screen.

Legendary Player30

*REQUIRES REAL MONEY TO UNLOCK* This will be your last achievement, and also actually requires you to spend real money to earn as well.
