Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption Achievements

Spinning Plates

Have every territory saved at the same time during the Undead Nightmare.

Every town and some of the gang hideouts are now overrun by zombies, and it's your goal to have them all "cleansed" at the same time. If you get near a territory it will appear on your map with the status "Unknown". If you approach it the status will be "Overrun".

If you capture a territory for the first time all survivors (amount depends on size of the territory) will be alive. Though after a certain amount of time the territory will be overrun again and the status will change to "Under Attack". If you won't help the territory it will become "Overrun" again and survivors will start dying until none of them are left. Fort Mercer, Casa Madrugada and El Presidio are always "safe".

A territory will take about 30-72 hours (in-game) to become attacked again, so you'll have to move quick. The best way is travelling by horse as fast-travelling takes a longer in-game time. There are 13 territories in America and 9 in Mexico.

Even if a town is overrun and all survivors are dead, you can still unlock the achievement and save the towns.

I have all 23 towns saved (blue crosses on the map) but this Achievement hasn't unlocked. All I have left for story missions is Reyes in Escalera/Crypt. When does this one unlock?

Okay I just got it. Apparently Escalera didn't register as a territory until AFTER I completed the story missions. Anyway if you look in the stats menu under "general" you will see an item called "Number of regions saved." It will go up to 20 even though there are 23 towns/settlements to save. This is because Fort Mercer, El Presidio and Casa Madrugada are Safe Zones that never actually require saving, you just have to visit them to get hte blue cross. Hope this prevents someone the frustration I had.

The village of Torquemada isn't exactly where the ? appears. Follow the trail up the mountainside through all the ruins until you reach the village at the very top

I'm getting towns lost immediately upon loading my game and it's always a different town or multiple towns.....I've had no warning either. can i still get this achievement because of this glitchy far, fable II's glitches are nothing compared to this dump....i've had so much trouble with glitches in it.

Can this achievement be missed at all? What happens if you don't save the towns, can you come back this later?

It can't be missed at all you just don't have survivors left so you have to solo it all and don't get the boost from giving them ammo, also towns get overrun alot quicker.

Just completed this while doing the story, i finished all towns while waiting for that certain mission that takes a few days of ingame time to show up. I had 4 towns that started to get overrun in total, each one i fast travelled too (usually cause i was on the other side of the map lol) and had no problems.

I saved all the towns in the USA doing some story missions. Only had to save Blackwater once...After I did the mission which led you to Mexico, I went through and saved all the towns. And this achievement popped.I did not do any story missions in Mexico, until after I saved all the towns.

Found this incredibly easy and possibly glitched. Through the entire story and afterward, bear in mind I 100%ed the DLC too so it's not like I flew through the story at top speed, only 3 towns got attacked after I'd saved them. Blackwater twice, Twin Rocks and that Army Camp place in the North, forget it's actual name. Surely more towns should have been attacked again?

Read this!!

I have been completing UNDEAD NIGHTMARE at a slow pace over the summer.
I lost Blackwater long ago and Armadillo. Stopped playing for a month or so.
Recently kept chipping away at the story, finished the game then went and
saved all the towns I never even entered before. When I was down to the last 2
which were LOST, I decided to try to save them anyways, and I was able to get
them back! I got the achievement after thinking I would have to start the story
over. So don't lose hope if you lost a town. Just save everything and go back
and save the LOST ones. BLAMMY! Achievement!

And yes, Escalera turns to a QUESTION MARK (?) after you beat the story mode.
(story mode surprisingly was very very short, I was surprised when it was done)
