Resident Evil: Revelations

Resident Evil: Revelations Achievements

Surviving Deep Darkness

【CAMPAIGN】Clear the game in Normal difficulty or above without dying once.

You should always have some healing items on you as a priority, since you can always run away and heal up if you need to, and it's also important to keep some distance between yourself and every new enemy you encounter to learn how they move. Some enemies are capable of cutting you down in one attack (such as the Scagdead or Farfarello while invisible), while some of the bosses can be frustrating if you don't know what you're doing, so I would recommend watching videos for those if you're uncomfortable with winging it yourself. Most players, especially seasoned RE veterans, should have a good chance of getting this on at least Normal difficulty, while those familiar with the game already shouldn't have much trouble at all. Doing this on Infernal difficulty is recommended only for masochists, however it can actually make you go through the game on the edge of your seat.

When/if you die, DO NOT hit "yes" to continue, instead hit "no" and you'll be sent back to the main menu. From there, you can hit continue to load up your most recent checkpoint and go about your business until you die again, then rinse and repeat. This process will result in 0 deaths in the Episode summary screens, which is what tells you whether you'll get the achievement or not. Thanks ss4goku2425 for confirming.

Way easier than it sounds. If you die just reload your save. If youve ever played an RE game before this wont be that difficult. At least its not an achievement for completing the game without using a green herb like one of the in game challenges from the original 3DS release.

@2 Agreed. That Herb Mission (Challenge) was a waste.

I can't remember on the 3DS, but is there co-operative play in the campaign? I beat it alone.

No there is not. You have an AI partner with you a good amount of the game but the game is a single player experience... Doubt the Xbox version will include it.

You never know but I doubt it.

@6 Yeah it is one of the best titles I've ever played on the 3DS, totally worth playing if you're a fan of the more horror side of the Resident Evil games.

@2: Are you sure, can you confirm this from the stats screen from the WII!? I rather believe dying once/reloading checkpoint DISABLES THE ACHIEVEMENT. Ever thought about that!

@9 Thats why I said reload your SAVE and not the checkpoint. If you die and just reload the checkpoint then the game recognizes that you died. If you quit out and then reload your actual save point then you never died in the first place.

I am currently doing a Normal playthrough of this game and have not died yet but when I do I will simply quit and reload my save. I will update everyone if I earn the achievement using this method after my playthrough.

I can confirm this works. If you arnt sure whether youve died or not the game will tell you at the end of every chapter how many times youve died.

Does this game have the ability to load specific chapters like 5 and 6? Could that work; Just loading whatever chapter you died in and completing it without death?

I just got this one yesterday it was easy all I did is when I died I dashboarded and then reloaded the last autosave. It usually started me off almost right where I died

If you die and it asks you to continue say NO. It will put you on to the main menu press campaign and then continue and it will load the last auto save so you won't have to restart a chapter

This won't be a problem I've beaten the 3DS version but I still find the controls wierd to use.

The easiest way to do this is actually to do what @Guccme #17 said. I didn't want to risk hitting "No" after being asked to continue, then mess up a save reload and have it go against me on the achievement.

Not to mention the other way is a little confusing. If it takes you back out to the menu after hitting No, how then, do you NOT reload your last checkpoint if your auto save is what prevents you from having to restart the Chapter in the first place? Why not just exit out of the game and then reload to be safe?
