Rock Band 3

Rock Band 3 Achievements

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Maintain overdrive for 60 seconds.

With four people this can be done on almost any song. Supposedly this can be done solo on some imported songs thanks to unison bonuses appearing in solo play, but it is far easier to do with multiple people. This can be accomplished on almost any song (obviously it needs to be 2:00 or longer), but some claim that this can be done on solo guitar on a host of songs from Rock Band 1 and some early DLC. Two people can maintain overdrive for most of the song on many imported songs though. Coordinate with your partner and make sure that they only activate overdrive when your overdrive is about to end. A drummer or vocalist should always start the overdrive chain, since they can only activate at certain points. You can find a partner in the Achievement Trading Thread here.

I think one of the easiest songs to get this on is probably "Handlebars" - Flobots (DLC)

What's the best on-disc song to try and get this on? And how many people do you need for it?

Just got this on We Are The Champions (Lego Rock Band version) without too much trouble on hard guitar. Don't know if it could be done on lower difficulties?

As 1 and 4 stated Flobots Handlebars works great. Can be gotten on medium. After you completely fill your overdrive, hit 12 more notes and then activate. You will have no problem getting the achievement.

Sabotage imported from Rock Band 1 is extremely easy with just guitar and bass. Maybe even Guitar alone, there's so many unison bonuses.
Say It Ain't So - Weezer is good too.
or Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz. Helped a friend get it on that one.

I was able to get the achievement on the DLC song "Handlebars." Definitely not a fluke.

Anyone ever get this WITHOUT DLC? Using an on-disc song? Going for this later today and want to know the best one, not buying DLC I don't like or paying to import songs just for one achievement.

Flirtin' with Disaster (from RB1) on hard guitar solo play. Started during one of the solos.

@13 Thanks for the info. Flirtin' with Disaster worked for me on the first try. I used a similar strategy as @8. Filled the overdrive meter and played 10-14 more notes before activating it.

Easiest song by far is The Kill by 30 Seconds To Mars. I got overdrive for 2:06 solo on medium.

Just did it on Expert Guitar. The Achievement doesn't unlock until you complete the song. Glad I decided to stay until the end when my Overdrive ran out and I thought I didn't get it.

If you are a Bass player then get the DLC pack from guns and roses, play "sorry" activate overdrive when you see the next energy phase after you are able to deploy it, fairly easy to get the in game 90 second achievement and unlock some cool stuff, including the bat wing bass.

I actually downloaded "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars and managed to get this on easy bass guitar.

YEAH!! Got it on We Are the Champions like #7 except expert after like four tries. You have to activate overdrive after the long note ends and after you play some more notes before you can see the next special overdrive notes but not too much before that. It's a close one, though. You'll barely have any left by the time you get to that last overdrive notes set, but you can't use overdrive too late either or you'll end up getting under 60 seconds. ^~^

Just did this now based on advice from an older thread in the forums.

Choose the RB1 export song "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" and select Hard (Expert was originally recommended but I did it fine on Hard). Get the first 2 sets of Overdrive notes (your OD should be full) then WAIT until the second set of notes appear - this should give you enough time to maintain enough OD power to reach the minute mark.

Then just keep playing and hopefully the achievement should unlock at the end.

Did it while playing on Hard SRVs "Texas Flood". Just fill overdrive and wait for the solo. Trigger OD at 6%. While in overdrive you should get next 2 sets of OD notes (you must play them correctly). Then just play to the end and achievement should unlock. Good luck!
