Rock Band Blitz

Rock Band Blitz Achievements

Precious Medal

Earned Gold stars on every song included with Rock Band Blitz.

This is where the powerups are going to be come into play. Without them, reaching a gold star cutoff is impossible.

The powerups you'll want to use depend on the song itself. Anything that uses Overdrive energy will mean you'll need to constantly switch tracks to grab any white notes regardless of the multiplier to get the most potential out of extra scoring.

For purple notes, this entirely depends on your playing style, however you'll want to use Blast Notes, which are good for clearing out nearby notes without too much switching, and Chase Notes if you're more likely to switch on the fly earning the 10,000 bonus upon successful capture.

This will mostly be about experimentation more than how well you can play. As it is, watching a high score run when it's available should give indication onto what you should be using. Examine the song first, and then decide where you should be to exceed to gold stars. Purple Notes do not change between replays, but they also are in different spots depending on what you use.

For a more in-depth look to each song and its respective cutoff score, check this thread.

Note: This cannot be earned if not connected to Rock Band Central, as scores will not be updated/saved.

This could be the hardest achievement.

Even harder when you realise you'll have to play utter crap like Moves Like Jagger repeatedly to get this unless you're incredibly good.

^ The same could be said of other music games.

This shall be ridiculous. Though I found Road Rage delivers some great points when you release it at the right moment

This right here is going to be really hard. Even using powerups I've only been able to five star a single song. Getting Gold is going to make this a long haul.

I find it really hard to 5 star songs, let alone gold star. Does any one know some tricks to rack up points really fast?

What I have been doing is using the Bandmate power-up along with an instrument power-up. Which instrument depends on what track for me, but I usually use the super drums or super guitar. Then when things get crazy I deploy Bandmate on whichever super instrument I selected. This lets me focus on the other tracks while I'm getting more than double the points on a track that I'm not even playing. Also make sure to always max out each multiplier before the checkpoint, and try to stay in Blitz mode as long as possible. Only a few more golds remain...

I tend to use road rage, the bomb blast and the instrument (whatever instrument is used the most in the song). It tends to work out. I've gotten like 9 or 10 gold stars do far.

@#9 what did you use for MCR's Sing? That song I actually have the most difficulty trying to gold star.

All right everybody! I have a strategy!
Bottle rockets, particularly in songs with lots of notes, raise your multiplier on other tracks, so that you can stay focused on one. You want want to stay focused on one track, because you really want the Blitz mode to last as long as possible in order to get bonus points from it.
unfortunately, there's not one strategy for all songs, which is part of the fun of the game...
But, here, I'll write a little guide for Always by Blink-182...
Power Ups: Bottle Rockets, Blast Notes, and Super Guitar.
Start off playing the drums (du'h), then switch after the first Overdrive phrase to bass, get 4X and switch to vocals, get 4X, and stay on guitar the rest of the game. At one point, there will only be vocals and drums, where you should switch to vocals. T

I've got Gold Stars on Every song but Shout... I get so close but can't get it. Any tips?

I used Jackpot, Bomb Notes, and Super Guitar.
The best place to use Jackpot is during the Guitar sustains after the final checkpoint. I think I also used it during the 2 solos.

I am stuck on 4 songs: Spoonman, Shout, Diamond Eyes and Bang Your Head. Any suggestions?

Love this game, brings new life to my Rock Band Collection, but man I'm struggling to nail down a strategy for getting gold stars.

Any thoughts on the best Overdrive power-up? I've been using bandmate, but it hasn't been cutting the mustard for me. Stuck at 5 stars on most of the 20 songs.

I use Jackpot, Runaway Star and Pro Guitar on pretty much every songs and I get gold stars 90% of the time on sightread.

Forget the Runaway star, the Blast Notes is way better and easier to hit.

For getting gold stars on Pumped Up Kicks, use Jackpot and keyboards! The notes powerup I used was fire notes.

Use Jackpot in these places:
• After the second checkpoint, playing whichever notes you feel most comfortable with.
• During the keyboard solo.
• During the first section with long guitar notes, playing and holding the guitar notes.
• During the guitar solo.
• After the final checkpoint, playing and holding the guitar notes.

With this strategy, I was able to get 567,884 points, over 140,000 points more than any of my many attempts prior to that.

I derived this strategy from a post by Robert999220.

Its a lot harder to get gold stars in this game compared to the actual Rock Band and Guitar Hero games IMO. I can 100% most songs on GH3 on up but this game is killing me. Oh well.
