Introduction:
So if you're a Sacred 2 veteran and you were expecting Sacred 3 to be more of the same; then you'll probably be disappointed. Sacred 3 has completely changed from the vast open world with dungeons, towns and even a rock concert with moshing orcs in Sacred 2; to a linear dungeon crawler that is "Diablo-esque". Unfortunately there is no open world but a map with a road that you can loosely follow to complete main and side missions along the way. There is also no random loot or collectibles to to be had; you gain weapon, armor, and skill upgrades as you level your character and complete missions.
There are four characters to choose from (five if you pre-ordered and got the DLC codes); they are the Seraphim, Safiri, Ancarian, Khukuri and the DLC class: Malakhim. The Malakhim is not required for the main game achievements like "Skilled Culture" and "Perfectionist." The voice acting can be awful at times; but some of it is funny and off kilter; especially Zep'tik.

Prologue:
You must complete the prologue to be able to play the game online! This is your first solo mission; upon its completion if you load up your character you'll see on the right side it will say "matches" with a number next to it. This represents the available matches out there that are set to 'public.' You can then join public games at will, or create your own and invite friends.
Once you complete the Prologue you can basically go to any point on the map you wish and play that level. You may notice that the map icons are RED in color; this just means they are above the recommended level for you to complete. There is a natural progression to the main missions and you will notice a pulsating circle around the mission you should complete next.

Playthroughs:
**Efficiency Playthrough**
This is a random suggestion, but if you have a dedicated player; and you both have two controllers (you can log in a guest account) you can knock out the "Couch Party," "Party Like it's 1999," "On the Line" and "Online Master" achievements in one playthrough. I would recommend playing on easy as there's no split screen and you either have to control both toons on the screen at once (which can be a pain) or have an actual person play with you. (It has also been mentioned that you can just sign in a controller before you exit the level and you will get credit. Recommend you play in a private match if you go this route.) The other 'con' to this method would be the adjustable difficulty the game makes to the amount of players in the game. So if you have four players, but in theory are only playing two, the game will scale to the four players, hence more difficult enemies.

At the start menu, choose your character for adventure and your difficulty (recommend Normal) and you'll begin your adventure in Halios. (again) You must complete this mission to be able to play online. I also recommend that you play each character through the prologue as you will eventually have to level them up regardless for the "Perfectionist" achievement. It also gives you a feel for each character and lets you decide on what to play for now. The other reason I recommend this is because you'll need each character for specific achievements on certain levels; especially at least one female character for "Girls Night Out.
There are 15 main missions and many smaller side missions. You must complete all but two of the side missions for the "Overprepared" achievement; please see the description for more details. Once you complete Champion difficulty (normal); move on and run through the main missions again on Legend difficulty which will net you "Sacred Ancaria." Once that is complete do it all again on Deity difficulty and you'll get "Sacred Savior."

Achievements:
**Glitchy Achievements**

"Perfectionist" - We are relatively certain that the cause of this glitch is due to maxing out the Malakhim skills first. So it is easily avoided, just make sure you level your other characters and purchase their skills BEFORE you finish off the Malakhim (if you have the character DLC). If you do not have the DLC you do not need to worry. If the achievement glitched on you, the only way to fix it is to delete your save and start over from scratch, re-leveling all 4 main characters to 49. (credit "uhkillswitch" for the info) **Deep Silver is aware of this glitch and it affects PS3, Xbox 360 and PC; supposedly a patch will be put in place when the Orcland DLC is released. No ETA on that yet.**

"One for All" - Just keep using the Battle Prayer and it will eventually unlock; many people have reported that it just takes more than 10 times to finally unlock.

"Bodyguard" - Same as above, it just takes a few more times than five for the achievement to unlock if you are doing it correctly. Just use the strategy provided and do your best; it will unlock eventually.

There are no missable achievements so you don't need to worry about that. I will be making notations on specific achievements on whether or not you should have four players to attempt it, or whether you need a second controller or not. Most other achievements will come as you play naturally. And obviously you can keep playing your character(s) once you complete the game on a certain difficulty.
With this game, being patient and leveling your character and then doing a lot of the random achievements is the best way to go about it. With a high level character on a low difficulty setting you can knock out plenty without breaking a sweat.

DLC: Malakhim

Overview:
If you pre-ordered Sacred 3, you got a code to unlock a new character. The Malakhim is some type of assassin that uses blood magic and dual wields sickle type weapons. The mission you must complete is part of the main game, so it is not extra content. Most of your time will be spent leveling the Malakhim to level 50.

**Please Note**
The DLC achievements are glitched; but they are still obtainable. Currently, when you meet the requirements the achievements do not unlock. The fix is to go back to the dashboard and clear the system cache of your hard drive. When you load the game again, do not accept the update and you will be forced offline. Once the game loads and you enter the character lobby; the achievements will unlock. The only downside is they will not have time stamps. If you do not want to go this route and you want timestamps; do not attempt the DLC achievements until a patch has been implemented.

DLC: Underworld Story

Overview:
If you pre-ordered Sacred 3, you got a code to unlock the DLC missions. The Underworld is a separate set of missions that you can access via the main map. There is a vortex to the left of Palambron Keep that will take you to the Underworld. Here you must complete a handful of side missions to access the final dungeon where the Black Seraphim is located.

DLC: Orc of Thrones

Overview:
This is the next installment of DLC for Sacred 3 which adds a new playable character.. the Orc! There are a total of 2 new achievements for 45 which can be played 'offline'. They are very straight forward and shouldn't take you longer than 15 hours to complete. Most of your time will be spent getting your new Orc to level 50. To the achievements!

DLC: Orcland Story

Overview:
This is most likely the last DLC expansion for Sacred 3. There are a total of 2 new achievements for 45 which can be played 'offline'. They are very straight forward and shouldn't take you longer than 5 hours to complete. In all honesty, it is very similar to 'Underworld Story' and shouldn't take longer than 2 hours; but everyone plays differently. The recommended level for this expansion is mid-teens; however, you can play with any character on whatever difficulty you wish to get the achievements done.

Conclusion:
So if you're a fan of hack 'n' slash ARPG's with four player co-op and none too complicated dungeons, then this is the game for you! The humor is pretty corny; but it grows on you. Originally we all thought there was never going to be a Sacred 3, but Keen Games and Deep Silver made it happen. Regardless of all the nit-picking, the game is still enjoyable. You will spend most of your time grinding levels for the four, non-DLC, characters to get to level 49 to finish off their skills. Most experienced gamers will probably spend somewhere in the 50 to 60 hour range to complete everything for the original 1000.

There are 45 achievements with a total of 1180 points

  • Complete the Rank 1 mission

Halios, which is the prologue and 'introduction to the game' level; is the only Rank 1 mission in the game. Upon defeating the final boss and returning to the lobby, you will unlock this achievement.

  • Complete all Rank 2 missions

The remaining 'main' missions, which is generally a larger icon of a city or location on your map, are the Rank 2 missions; you can do these solo or with other players, it does not matter. They are as follows:

    • Vorios
    • Pelias Harbor
    • Shaddar's Cage
    • Khorad Basin
    • N'aquali
    • Alkazaba Mines
    • Palambron Keep
    • Icecreek Sanctuary
    • Braverock
    • Enigmar's Fortress
    • Zhurag
    • Azabrak Ruins
    • Grey Veil
    • Asghar
  • Complete all main missions on Legend difficulty

Legend difficulty is available from the start of the game; so if you're feeling mean and want a challenge you may do so. The difficulty achievements do not stack, so you must do each individually.

  • Complete all main missions on Deity difficulty

Upon completing the game once on any difficulty, you will unlock the Deity difficulty setting for the character you completed the campaign with (not all of them), which is the most arduous. The difficulty achievements do not stack, so you must do each individually.

  • Max out any culture's Combat Arts, Skills, and Equipment trees

You unlock skills and abilities as you level up your character; once you do, you must purchase these abilities. You can purchase and change your abilities in the 'character lobby' screen. When your character reaches level 49 you will unlock the final skill for whichever character you are playing, purchase the final ability and unlock the achievement.

  • Max out all cultures' Combat Arts, Skills, and Equipment trees

**This achievement is buggy as many people have reported that it does not unlock once the criteria are met. Just don't max out the Malakhim first (DLC character).**

This achievement only counts the four original characters you have available if you did not get the DLC character. So you will have to level the Seraphim, Safiri, Ancarian and Khukuri to level 49 to unlock, and purchase, their final skills. This is the most time consuming of all the achievements.

  • Unlock all item upgrades

To achieve this, you will have to complete specific side missions that are scattered throughout the map. You can recognize these missions as they have a 'star' icon on the map; these 'star' side missions are an arena type mission where you'll face five waves of enemies. The rest of the side missions are small circles so you can differentiate; they consist of defeating all the enemies on a smaller map that you must traverse.
You will get two capacity upgrades and an item regeneration upgrade when playing the 'circle' side missions on either the Warrior, Champion or Legend difficulties. The final upgrades will be attained by playing the requisite 'circle' side missions on Deity difficulty. You do not need to complete the 'star' side missions on deity difficulty.

Health Potion: Unlocked during Halios (prologue) automatically.
    Upgrade Capacity: Skaldera, Agari Glen
    Item Regen Upgrade: Hermit's Path
Deity difficulty upgrade: Skaldera, Agari Glen, Hermit's Path

Energy Totem: Unlock in Hidden Grotto
    Upgrade Capacity: Lady's Rest, Mascarell
    Item Regen Upgrade: Smoldering Ruins
Deity difficulty upgrade: Lady's Rest, Mascarell, Smoldering Ruins

    Health Totem: Unlock in Oakshade
Upgrade Capacity: Sunken Ramparts, Valam Lake
    Item Regen Upgrade: Bravelake Flat
Deity difficulty upgrade: Sunken Ramparts, Valam Lake, Bravelake Flat

Protection Aura: Unlock in Lost Catacombs
Upgrade Capacity: Fendrel Woods, Urkus Swamp
    Item Regen Upgrade: Goldpeak Mine
Deity difficulty upgrade: Fendrel Woods, Urkus Swamp, Goldpeak Mine

Magic Sentry: Unlock in Defiled Mausoleum
    Upgrade Capacity: Weaver's Woods, Scuttlemarsh
    Item Regen Upgrade: Bitter Shrine
Deity difficulty upgrade: Weaver's Woods, Scuttlemarsh, Bitter Shrine

Smart Bomb: Unlock in Silver Creek
Upgrade Capacity: Fort Merek, Gloom Vale
    Item Regen Upgrade: Fungal Forest
Deity difficulty upgrade: Fort Merek, Gloom Vale, Fungal Forest

  • Defeat something big with only one hit using a smart bomb

You first need to acquire the Smart Bomb which is a reward for completing the side mission "Silver Creek." You can access your inventory items with the , then navigate the item wheel and choose what you want. Then press (up) on the D-pad to detonate.
'Something big' basically refers to an 'Elite' type enemy which can be found on Halios and especially Khorad Basin. You can do this at any time really, so it's recommended that you level up some (mid 20's) then come back to Halios and lower the difficulty to Warrior. As you progress through Halios, Karr Tell will tell you he's sending a new enemy at you; that would be the Elite (large enemy without a shield that runs through the gate). Detonate your smart bomb as close to him as you can and blow him to bits. Do not use shield break or anything else; all damage has to be done with the smart bomb.

  • Ding!

    10

    Get a level up

This will be the first achievement you acquire while playing the Halios level. Upon defeating the final boss of this tutorial level you will automatically level up.

  • Reach level 10 with any character

Keep playing co-op, or go at it solo; as with any RPG you will gain experience points as you kill and complete missions.

  • Reach level 30 with any character

Keep playing co-op, or go at it solo; as with any RPG you will gain experience points as you kill and complete missions.

  • Reach level 50 with any character

As of right now, level 50 is the max level you can attain. As you progress through the levels, make sure you up the difficulty for better experience gains.
As noted by 'spockroxfaces' (there are also videos out of this method); get to the Icecreek Sanctuary mission. At the very beginning there is an Ice Golem; kill it quickly, then simply quit and restart the level, rinse and repeat.

  • Complete one main mission in local co-op mode

    **2nd controller required!**
Please see "Party Like It's 1999."

  • Complete all main missions in local co-op mode

    **2nd controller required!**

Just like back in the day when there was no online gaming and you had to play with a buddy sitting next to you. So turn on that 2nd controller and play with a friend... or play with yourself!
(The downfall) The game is not split screen, both characters are on the screen at the same time and you can not progress farther until the other character moves with you. So this can make 'playing with yourself' somewhat difficult. I guess you could use your feet; but I highly recommend another carbon based life form.
You can also wait until you defeat the final boss/objective of the mission and before you exit to the lobby, log in the 2nd controller and then exit. You will get credit this way as well.

  • Complete a main mission with three other players

    **4 players required!**

    Please see "Online Master."

  • Complete all main missions with three other players

    **4 players required!**
You can have a mixture of local and online people (as mentioned in the Roadmap under "Efficiency Playthrough"). Otherwise when you check the public matches it lists how many players are in each match by showing their levels. As an example: if there are three level six players in a public match it will show the lobby leader, then 6/6/6 representing the three players. See what I did there?
Here's a list of the main campaign missions you must complete with four total players. To my knowledge there is no way to track what you have or haven't completed with four players; so do your best to keep track on your own. You necessarily don't need four players for the entire mission, just as long as there's four when you finish the mission you should be ok.

**Please Note** You must use the same character when trying to complete all main missions with four characters; you can not do some with one character and the rest with another.

    • Halios
    • Vorios
    • Pelias Harbour
    • Shaddar's Cage
    • Khorad Basin
    • N'aquali
    • Alkazaba Mines
    • Palambron Keep
    • Icecreek Sanctuary
    • Braverock
    • Enigmar's Fortress
    • Zhurag
    • Azabrak Ruins
    • Grey Veil
    • Asghar
  • Complete a main mission as the top scorer in a game with three other players

    **4 players required!**
While playing with other people the game tracks points for kills, damage, technique and lifesaver. So do your best to get the most kills, utilize combat arts often, revive teammates if needed, and be all around awesome on the battlefield. At the end of the level the game will tally up all the points; your reward for winning will be an added 10% to experience and gold along with the achievement.
If you are boosting this you can simply take turns laying waste to the field with your co-op players.

  • Achieve the highest multiplier in a damage run

I got this without realizing it. As you play, you may notice a damage multiplier number on the side of the screen; the max it goes is x5. Your multiplier goes up when you use combat arts and attack multiple enemies, especially larger enemies like elites and bosses. Just keep chaining attacks and you'll get it eventually.

  • Break the shields of all ghostly orbs and destroy them in a single phase

    **Recommend 4 players!**
This achievement is probably the most difficult.
This event takes place during the Zhurag level when you're fighting the Unspeakable Evil (this is somewhat similar to the well event in Khorad Basin). You'll have to cover four quadrants of the room and once you damage the boss about 20%, 10 to 12 'orbs' will spawn in the room with shields around them. You must destroy them as fast as possible, as you do, this damages the boss. You have to shield break and destroy all the orbs before he can absorb them. Seraphim and Malakhim have excellent skills for this fight.. but high level characters on a lower difficulty will work as well. Just make sure you're not so powerful you one shot the boss before he can spawn the orbs.
Should you fail, the host can quit the game and then rejoin it; this will reset the group to the checkpoint just before the boss fight.

  • Use your Battle Prayer 10 times

**This achievement is buggy as many people have reported that it takes more than 10 uses to unlock.**

    **2 players required!**
The Battle Prayer is another skill that can be used by pressing the . You gain power for this skill by using combat arts; the meter is to the left of your character picture in the upper left corner of the screen. Once the meter is filled, press  near a teammate; do this 10 times. The meter does not show if you are solo!

  • Interrupt five enemies while they are targeting other players

**This achievement is buggy as many people have reported that it takes more than five attempts.**

    **2 players required!**

With multiple players in a match, enemies will lock on and target party members besides yourself. When you see an enemy or boss targeting a teammate, an hour glass will appear above their head signifying they are casting or attacking; charge to the enemy and interrupt them by using shield break (press ). Upon a successful interruption you will see "Interruption" above the enemies' head, whether it be 'fast' or 'late'.
A good spot to grind this is at the end of the Alkazaba Mines. Just make sure the enemy is targeting your co-op partner and not you.. as long as you don't turn the wheels, the enemies will continually spawn.

  • Medic!

    15

Revive every other player in a single mission with three other players

    **4 players required!**
Start a match with four people however you can and load up the Vorios level (the 2nd main mission). Near the beginning of the level you will come across some traps with spinning blades. Have each player run into the blades one at a time. As you wait for them to die, charge your shield break ability by holding ; once the player dies, unleash the shield break which will cause the blade trap to retreat into the ground. Now you only have a few seconds to revive the player, run up to the downed player and press . Rinse and repeat for the remaining players.
Also, take note that you can only die so many times before you can't be revived; so you can probably do this twice, then a player that's died too many times can simply exit the match and re-enter and be fine.

  • Stop the Unspeakable Evil

Story related and can't be missed.

  • Kill 8 Grimmoc-sized enemies with one attack

Grimmoc-sized enemies are the larger enemies, especially the ones with shields. Highly recommended that you are a higher level and have smart bombs unlocked to make this easier. As the description says "one attack" so an explody ball of death is technically one attack; you can use combat arts if you wish. In later levels, like Khorad Basin, when you have to activate the first wheel to progress, lots of these 'Grimmoc-sized' enemies are going to show up. So keep spinning the wheel until they all show up, let them group around you and light a smart bomb and enjoy your achievement.

  • Use your Combat Arts 80 times in N'Aquali during a single playthrough

N'Aquali is a main mission along your path. Once in the zone begin using your combat arts which are the abilities you have mapped to  and . As you progress, smash Yellow jars and use Energy Totems, which refill your combat arts meter; you will also gain combat art power by attacking enemies with regular attacks.

  • Execute 5 enemies in a row

This is more difficult than it sounds. You execute an enemy when that enemy has been knocked down and a red icon shows above their head; then be in a somewhat close proximity and press  to finish them off. You will then leap in the air and come down on the enemy with a crushing blow.
The issue is, you have to do this in rapid succession. This leaves you with two options:

    1. Level up and as you get stronger and gain more skills you'll be able to stun and knock down more enemies, then just execute them all quickly.
    2. In a match with other players you can take advantage and execute enemies they have knocked down; but this is assuming they knock down five enemies fairly close together.

With a mid 20's Seraphim character using the Holy Word combat art, you can mow down most medium sized enemies like bowling pins. Load up Bravelake Flat; once you get down to the lower area there's about 15 'medium' sized enemies. Blast them with Holy Word and execute them as quickly as possible.
**Credit Epsilon 616** Use a charged shield bash on the Braverock mission to knock down multiple zombies then execute in rapid succession. There is a part midway through the level where you have to destroy three dark orbs; the zombies will continually spawn if you do not destroy them.

  • Die from an explosive destructible

Explosives are slightly red'ish and look like large spiky, metal balls. I got this in Pelias Harbour; towards the end of the level you have to sink an enemy ship. There are enemies with mines strapped to their backs, and some on the ground around the area. Get low health and go whack a mine and hope it kills you. There are mines on other levels as well in random places; Shaddar's Cage would be one, and there are many others.

  • Complete a mission with four characters from different cultures in co-op mode

    **4 players required!**
You need to complete a mission with four players that are all different classes. You can get this randomly by joining games (unfortunately the game does not show the classes of people in the match selector screen) or by getting some people together. Once all have a different character, just finish a mission; it can also be a side mission.

  • Kill a Troll without getting hit by it in single player mode

    **Must be done solo!**
There are trolls found on many missions, including side missions like Shalekarst on the final wave. There is also one shortly after the Ice Golem in the Icecreek Sanctuary level. Most notably there is a troll in the middle of the Halios level at the beginning of the game. You don't have to do this right away, so feel free to level up a character and lower the difficulty and then just wreck the troll. The troll attacks are relatively predictable and you can simply roll out of the way of most. So stay patient and avoid his attacks, use your best combat arts to deal fast damage; if you have it, utilize the smart bomb as well for massive damage.

Secret achievements

  • Defeat the final form of Zane within 30 seconds

    **Recommend 4 players!**
Sounds pretty straight forward; once Zane turns into this final form, (which is his second form), you and your team must beat him down before 30 seconds is up. If you are having trouble, a level 50 character on Warrior difficulty can kill Zane in less than 10 seconds.

  • Complete Khorad Basin with the Well purity at 70% or greater

    **Recommend 4 players!**
The well is at the end of the Khorad Basin level; the well is in the center of the area and there are basically four 'corners' that you need to cover. Zep'tik will begin sending minions to putrefy the well; they are small enemies with barrels of poison on their backs, they move rather slow too. You must kill them before they get to close and jump in the well. Other enemies will spawn as well to obstruct your task. If each player covers their quadrant you will have little difficulty succeeding.

  • Complete Icecreek Sanctuary with the Seraphim

Icecreek Sanctuary is near the top left corner of the map; so you will get to it later on. Just play as the Seraphim and complete the level and the achievement is yours.

  • Complete Vorios with the Safiri

Vorios is the first level after the prologue; so if you chose the Safiri first, continue on and complete this level and the achievement will unlock.

  • Complete Greyveil with the Ancarian

Greyveil is towards the end of the map along the road; just complete it with the Ancarian character and you'll unlock the achievement.

  • Complete Enigmar Fortress with the Khukuri

Same as the others; complete this main mission with the Khukuri character and the achievement is yours.

  • Defeat Zane

Story related and can't be missed.

  • Complete a mission with four female characters in online co-op mode

    **4 players required!**
For this achievement, all four players have to be female characters. So you either have to be the Seraphim or the Ancarian. You can use a mixture of local and online co-op if you wish. Once you have four players and all are female, complete a mission; even a side mission will count.

DLC: Malakhim Hero (Store Link)

There are 2 achievements with a total of 45 points

  • Complete Braverock with the Malakhim

Braverock is a main mission along your path to glory; if you have the DLC and chose to play the Malakhim, simply complete the level with him and the achievement is yours.

  • Reach level 50 with the Malakhim

Pretty simple; kill lots of stuff, gain experience to level 50! Utilize the Icecreek Sanctuary level method to get to level 50 the quickest.

DLC: Underworld Story (Store Link)

There are 2 achievements with a total of 45 points

  • Purged

    30

    Defeat the Black Seraphim

The Black Seraphim is the final boss of the Underworld located in the Pillar of the Fallen. It is probably best to tackle this area if your level is mid-teens or higher. You must complete the side missions before you can enter the Pillar of the Fallen.
From what I've seen the final dungeon is long and difficult, and the Black Seraphim is no cake walk. She has a devastating attack that doesn't necessarily kill you, but it seems to take 90% of your life away. There are also tentacles that attack through the floor and larger tentacles from off screen near the sides. Just stay near'ish the middle and use area affect attacks when the tentacles pop up.

  • Complete all side missions of Underworld Story

The Underworld is the vortex icon to the left of Palambron Keep on your main map. When you first enter there are three side missions you must complete to access the final area; they are: Underworld Passage, Onyx Keep and Brightspan. Once you complete the final side mission the achievement is yours.

DLC: Orc of Thrones (Store Link)

There are 2 achievements with a total of 45 points

  • Complete Khorad Basin with the Orc

Khorad Basin is the 5th main story mission along your path. If you are playing through the story normally you will come across this through natural progression. Complete the level and the achievement is yours.

  • Reach level 50 with the Orc

Assuming this isn't your first character, you should know how to level a toon to 50 by now. Getting through the campaign once on whichever difficulty you prefer to unlock 'Deity' difficulty which will yield larger experience gains. You can power level yourself in the 'Icecreek Sanctuary' mission by killing the Ice Golem at the beginning of the level; then save and quit, rinse and repeat.

DLC: Orcland Story (Store Link)

There are 2 achievements with a total of 45 points

  • Kill Gragon

Gragon is the main antagonist of the Orcland Story expansion that struggles with identity issues. He can be found in 'Khorum' which is the final mission. Khorum is a fairly long level, longer than most main missions; but nothing should surprise you... well maybe one thing!

Gragon himself is a tough customer with numerous attacks and lots of health. He can be daunting for a mid-teens level character. His worst attack is the spinning attack (similar to Karr Tel) but with an added spiral of spikes coming out from the ground. If you struggle, come back when you're a high level with better upgrades and lower the difficulty to Warrior.

  • Complete all side missions of Orcland Story

There are 3 side missions to complete in this expansion; they consist of 'Remote Canyon', 'Coiling Cavern', and 'Battleworks'. You have to complete them all if you wish to unlock 'Khorum' which is the final mission, so in essence this is story related and not missable. The side missions are linear and slightly longer than the ones in the main campaign. There's also a few new enemies to face throughout your journey!
