Samurai Warriors 2

Samurai Warriors 2 Achievements

Okuni Unlocked

This character will become available by satisfying certain conditions in Sugoroku.

You will need to win one single player game of Sugoroku. This game is basically Monopoly spliced with Mario Party. You may use any settings to unlock this. The object of the game is to collect the target amount of gold. As you travel around the board, you want to buy property and collect your 3 flags. Once you get your flags, return to your home space and level up. You are then awarded gold based upon your level and the amount of properties you own. Seeing as this is a board game, the results basically comes down to luck.

You only have to win one match.
The easyest thing to do is use your best (the best for you) character and then select 3 opponents who are on the other side of japan, also having a second pad signed on so you can make 1player loose yourself could help.
I found doing this on the small map and minimum gold to win can help because as the rounds go on the computer tends to win by majic.

I've found out that Mitsuhide is pretty much easy mode for Sugoroku since his flags (in a small map) are always arranged that they're lined up and quite easy to get. His route basically just goes down to a simple loop of the right side of the map.

I've never tried this but I think if you get four controls that would make things easier.

... This one achievement has made me put down the controller and quit playing twice. First time I didn't even make it to the end of the match because the RNG just hated me that much. Second time... after two matches, I finally came first ... on 3-player (exactly how many controllers I own). Then I looked at the description and saw it had to be single-player.

I hate this. I hate it so damned much.
The whole thing takes AGES. Nothing is skippable. The Random Number God favours the AI massively over me. The camera controls are reversed in the actual player-controlled parts, causing me to endlessly fail as a result of interface-screw.
I'm sick of it.
While I deem it "possible" for me to get this achievement, it seems the game will cheat its arse off to ensure I don't get it.

Ok. I finally managed it.
Paeng was sorta right. Mitsuhide does have quite an easy time of it.

I did it against Ieyasu, Shingen and Yoshihiro...
Ieyasu was right on my tail and nearly won.
Shingen was so-so.
Yoshihiro was absolutely TERRIBLE at it, and I'd recommend anyone select him as an enemy.

Of course a lot of this came down to challenges...
Annihilation is easy with the right character (I don't think Mitsuhide would have done so well unless he got Inf Musou).
Steal is fairly self-evident, despite the reversed camera.
Race and Reveal take some getting used to. The best trick with Race is to jump-attack the doors, allowing you to keep running when you hit the ground. As for Reveal, I just watch the minimap and ignore the screen entirely.
Chase I cannot do at al

Indeed Mitsuhide is the player to choose. Even though he was rank D, he was rolling 6's all the time and his base is central to the map making flag collection easy.

Here is my setup:

Mitsuhide (1p)

These AI players are terrible and it gives you more leadway. Do not buy any properties. Just go for your coloured flags and return to base. You must have all 3 then choose shortest route back. This is not monopoly, you can change direction any time when two paths separate.

I got this on my 3rd attempt. I almost won on my 2nd with Honda but he was rolling 1's all the time and the flags were in riduclous locations. I also wasted money on challenging properties (costs a lot of cash) and buying them.

Collect your 3 flags only. First to 5000 Gold. Map Small.
