Sniper Elite V2

Sniper Elite V2 Achievements

Sniper Elite

Complete all missions on highest difficulty

This game isn't too difficult on Sniper Elite difficulty, but it can be harder in some spots. Use these tips to help you with your playthrough.

All story related achievements can be unlocked in co-op except for this one, you will need to do this solo.

Here are a few tips to help you while playing on Sniper Elite difficulty:

  • Scouting is very helpful while playing on Sniper Elite difficulty, to use your binoculars press in  and use  and  to zoom in and out. Before attacking or walking into an area scout it out for enemies or to plan your attack/route, it will make things a lot easier for you rather than just guessing where to go.
  • Rocks will really come in handy on this playthrough. When faced with a group of enemies use rocks to guide them away giving you the opportunity to advance, even to split up a group of enemies to take them out one by one.
  • Use cover ALL THE TIME, enemies will have their eye on you this playthrough and they rarely miss a shot on you. Just wait until you think your safe then pop your head up and take out one enemy at a time.
  • Set traps when sitting in an open area or a building that the enemy can access. It helps a lot because if you get an enemy behind you while you are concentrating on sniping, without traps set, they will without a doubt kill you.
  • Just take your time, rushing will not help you on this difficulty, take as much time as you need and be as stealthy as possible. Your silenced pistol will come in handy in tight spots, try for the head shot because it takes a bit to ready your gun between shots. When faced with multiple enemies use your machine gun.

This being a Rebellion game, that better not mean fucking Nightmare with no checkpoints like AVP. Still haven't done the Marine campaign on that because it's too damn hard. I mean no checkpoints? WTF? THIS is the achievement I hate in all games.

My geuss from judging the difficulty setting in the previous Sniper Elite on the highest difficulty, you only had so much ammo and everything comes in account here like windspeed-direction, bulletdrop, empty lung ect. There where still checkpoints tho. Its probly not as hard as it sounds as long you take your time an observe your suroundings and look for ways to snipe or silent kill your enemies.

If this is the only difficuly achievement, (meaning the rest can be done on easy) then that's not a bad deal.

I wonder if in the full game we can put custom on, making AI difficult to Elite but making the other settings easiest. Probably not, most likely it will require us to pick "Sniper Elite" difficulty from the selection screen.

Just listen to #6 LOL. He is probly in for a nasty suprice..ugh how i hate these achievement hunters, its all about gamerscore instead of just enjoying a game, its just rush, rush thru a game as fast as possible to earn that 1000G where is the fun in that? Just enjoy your game, you can,t even buy a pack of milk with your gamerscore dude just saying ;)

I hate achievements like this, but at least its just one. Better than CoD where 50% of the achievements are for playing on damn veteran.

Played the demo, and if it's comparable to the real game it's very easy.

This will be the 1st difficulty I go for. Don't see the point in breezing through a game when surely the challenge itself will make it fun.

Anyone know if this is possible by beating the levels in co-op?

as far as i know, you can't play through the campaign in co-op. only four extra modes. i'll check that in the evening and correct me, if necessary.

oh, ok... it's explained in the achievement guide:

Note: All story related achievements can be unlocked in co-op except for this one, you will need to do this on your own.

This isn't that hard. The checkpoints are usually pretty good and the enemies aren't infinite respawning so just keep your head down. Wind speed and drop are both quite forgiving and easy to adjust for if you watch where your last bullet landed and aim accordingly.

The coop campaign doesn't count that bad, I did the campaign on Elite with a friend on 5 hours. So I have the week-end for this achievement!

Does anyone know if you can unlock it just doing mission select? I assume that's fine.

This is NOT easy. Use cover all the time make sure you have some trip wires and the Welrod on you. At the moment I am stuck on mission 10 (where you destroy the V2 rocket), but have done all the others including mission 11. Also, be as stealthy as you can as this can save your life many times.

Got it! For mission 10 be very stealthy, then when you're defending at the end , got upstairs and sit in the corner with your sub-machine gun, aiming at the doorway. About 5 guys will come up so kill them, once you have the V2 rocket is fuelled and you can shoot it with your sniper. Achievement unlocked!

very easy. suggest playing through on easy first so you get a feel of every level and know where all the enemies will be. also find a rifle that works for you and stick with it. i preferred the springfield because how little gravity and wind affected it. dont forget to customize your load before each mission. i always went in with the springfield, welrod, for the sub machine gun i chose whichever enemy i would be mainly fighting against i.e. ppsh for red army or mp40 for nazis. dont bring the Thompson because then you cant big up extra ammo from dead guys. figure out which grenade works best for you and just bring 2 of that one, not 1 of each. i favored the tripwire over land mine so i brought 3 tripwire along instead of 1 landmine, 1 trip wire, and 1 dynamite. hated dynamite although it i

is useful for setting up chain reactions. remembering where enemies will spawn is good because then you'll know where to lay down mines and wire if a mission calls for you to fight your way back out of a facility. for instance, at the V2 facility (second mission) i knew a truck would come at the end to unload guys so i laid down a bunch of trip wire and any dynamite or mines i collect from dead bodies around where the truck would unload and where the guys typically run too (they like to hide behind rocks) so when the all jumped out and triggered a wire a chain reaction went off and took out nearly all of them giving me enough time to get to the mounted gun and finish them off

Awesome game, I'm on the last mission and it's pretty easy if you're used to playing FPS on the hardest difficulty. The AI is really dumb sometimes, but their aim is almost perfect at long range. The good part is that you don't take nearly as much damage as in a Call of Duty game on veteran, so you can look, hide, shoot, hide and not get killed. Life recovers really fast and the enemy rarely charges to you.

Take your time and you'll be done with this game in no time. Every achievement is doable on the hardest difficulty without much issue.

Only got the last 3 missions to go! Should be easy enough as long as enemies don't spawn right on top of me and unload a SMG into my ass! I really hate the enemy spawns especially sniper spawns. You know where they are going to be and don't show up until you try to move in!

Only problems I can see for the last 3 missions is the sniper team on the rooftops of mission 9, the wait for the rocket to fuel on mission 10 and finally the shot on Wolf from the Brandenburg Bridge.

The "Jason Bourne glitch" works with this one. Play on Cadet, until the final checkpoint, quit to main menu, change the difficulty to Elite, finish the level. Do that with all 10 levels, cash in the 100G.

"How do you change your difficulty without starting the level over"

That is my question also. I see no way to change difficulty when you are in the game. You are at the last checkpoint, if you quit to main menu, you are forced to start the level at the beginning.

Tinsigmund666, in post #29, you might have something here but how exactly do you do it.

This is from another site. I haven't tried it yet, but many say it works.

There is a way to beat a mission on Sniper Elite difficulty while only having to play the mission on Cadet and the last checkpoint as Sniper Elite.

1. Beat a mission on Cadet difficulty.
2. Continue to next mission, then immediately Exit to Main Menu
3. Go to Mission Select and pick the same mission you just beat but select Sniper Elite difficulty.
4. Quit to Main Menu after the mission loads.
5. Quit to dashboard (guide button then hit Y) or turn off the Xbox 360.
6. Restart game and hit continue option in Menu.
7. The mission will load from the last checkpoint on Sniper Elite difficulty. Beat the rest of the mission and get credit for the entire mission on Sniper Elite.

Note: The last checkpoint

Note: The last checkpoint you load will become Sniper Elite difficulty, so you need to account for bullet drop, wind and you take less damage. But since the last checkpoint is usually close to the end it is fairly easy to beat the end of the mission.

I have been using Gremlin615's method and so far it seems to be working. I will only fully know once I am able to get the achievement. If it works then I will definitely post a message here confirming it does or does not work. So I will keep all posted to info.

On the very last level when beating it on CADET mode choose continue and let the credits roll. Once you do that, go ahead and exit to dashboard, then follow the final steps gremlin mentioned above. The achievement will pop up a few seconds after you get to the score ranking of the level. Thanks to gremlin for the GREAT IDEA on this achievement. It worked just fine.
