Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut

Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut Achievements

Mission All Accomplished

20
Clear all 60 missions.

Mission Mode is exclusive to the Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut upgrade and can be accessed from the main menu. During mission mode, you will take your selected character into the Adventure Fields and you must search for their mission cards, their are 60 in total. Every time you touch a card you will be given a random task to do. Some of these are very easy while others can be very annoying. Some you can complete within the Adventure Field itself, while others require you to visit Action Stages in order to fulfill. For the most part you will do fetch type tasks such as:

  • Pop Balloons
  • Collect Flags
  • Defeat X amount of enemies
  • Fetch an item

Remember these missions are character specific and can only be done with the character that mission is assigned to. In other words, characters cannot play other characters missions! If you ever need to check your progress, go to ‘Missions’ in the pause menu. For a guide on all 60 missions please refer the Mission Mode Guide by clicking HERE.

Note: Mission numbers 53 and 54 may be the only two missions that may give you trouble. Please click the link above for assistance with these annoying missions.

No the Dreamcast Collection does not have the DX stuff on it , you need to buy
it from XBOX Marketplace .

And this is another Achievement that is glitched , i think we should get
a refund .

I know this isn't very active, but I will forever hate the snowboard mission with Sonic. Jumping perfectly at the end with the ramps is insane.

I don't want to rub it in peoples faces, but I've done the notorious snowboarding mission first, to get it out the way. I did it within the first few tries. Basically, here's a run down.

First ramp, nothing special, jump as normal.
Second ramp, SLOWLY approach the top right corner and jump at the very end.
Final ramp, get it as close to the end as you can, then AFTER the animation flick and hold up on the left stick and you should just make it.

If your still having difficulty then take a break and do some other missions. Stay call and don't get too stressed. Remember that it has to be doable, and it will just take patience :)

Deleting your save file is unnecessary. I had the same issue with this achievement not popping and all I had to do was delete the game and dlc, re-install it and repeat a mission I had already completed and presto. Hope this helps. I had an old version of the game the 1.6gb and it seems that problem is fixed with the new 1.5gb version. Hope this helps.

This Achievement and the Metal Sonic Master achievement will unlock. Metal Sonic will not unlock though , you will need to buy the game from the marketplace and play through the whole game again for it to unlock........sucks right ?

Ignore my comment above , to unlock any of these DLC achievements you will have no choice but to download the full game from the Marketplace.

for mission 53 I have attempted this over 150+ times I found the "trick" to holding up for anyone needing it,

Ramp 1: Don't hold up at all just jump near the red line.

Ramp 2: right side as usual right after you jump at the red line then hold up as your going into the air once you clear the bridge your fine.

Ramp 3: IMPORTANT. Jump at the red line as far as you can when you do sonic will do his animation and say something. During that animation and right after he finishes talking about a second close to 2 in the animation , i mean right after he starts doing the animation as you jump dont forget. hold up and just hold it during that you should fly into the line of rings and get it.

its the only was i was able to pull it off Otherwise i wasnt making it high enough.

UPDATE : FROM THE 23RD JUNE 2012 THE GLITCH HAS RETURNED !!!!!!!!!!!!
ANOTHER SALE STARTED ON THE 23RD JUNE AND FOR SOME STUPID REASON THEY HAVE REPLACED THE 1.5GB VERSION WITH THE 1.6GB VERSION . THE 1.6GB VERSION OF THE GAME WAS WHAT WAS GLITCHING THE ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

BACK IN DECEMBER 2011 THE GLITCH WAS FIXED WHEN THE GAME WENT UP FOR SALE , NOW SINCE THIS NEW SALE STARTED (23RD JUNE 2012) THEY HAVE MESSED IT ALL UP AGAIN.

For those going for mission 53, there's enough rings that you can get an extra life each time down the hill (so you don't run out of lives with all the restarts). In the begining, when you're facing backwards, groups of rings go left, right, right, right, left, middle, middle.

But I probably tried 40-50 times for mission 53, and I think I missed that little mountain after the 3rd jump (the one that knocks you straight in the air) only about 5 times.
