@5 Multiplayer achievements are worse than cancer as you get fuckin' retards running around trying to get kills in a special way.
I'm going to refrain from getting this game now just incase I end up in a game with you and you spread your dumbshit ideas to me.
And no, I'm not trolling. I fucking hate achievement whores and multiplayer achievements. All they do is corrupt games.

The FUBAR Difficulty def seems to be a challenge i geus. This said i coudn,t agree more with @7 All MP achievements do is having alot of gamers getting on and trying to boost the living crap out of it, then u take ur time and wanna have a go and getting owned by gamers that already reached the highest rank available and also own all the power weapons and then u in return with ur level 1 weapons get serious owned and then those same guys boosting the crap out of it wanna tell u how much skill they have...yeah right! My ass! xD

Absolutely agree - MP achievements completely suck. Just take Assassin's Creed, for example, what the hell is an essentially single player game like that doing with multiplayer achievements? In my opinion, if a game's focus is on campaign/story, as this one seems to be, then there should only be single player achievements. Likewise, if the focus is MP, then by all means have MP cheevos.

I like completing games and getting cheeves, but I also hate mp achievements. Its ok if its stuff you can knock out easily, but bullshit like max payne making you play to get level 50 and all this stupid shite, especially when a game has awful multiplayer, it is just a kick in the nuts, moreso when it is a hard highly unlikely achievement to get, like Homefront's maximum party achievement, impossible and glitched. MP achievements prevent you from progressing as they rely on other people which if you have no friends with the game or people arent playing a certain way you cannot get them, just like with Brink. So yeah MP cheeves are gay and this list seems pretty decent.

@27 Well it depends if Fubar is really stupid hard or not. I mean i have started on suicide mission difficulty and that's solid hard, and there's normally a massive difference between 2nd hardest and hardest difficulty. ie; Call of duty, hardened and veteran big difference....

There are random difficulty spikes during the 'Suicide Mission' difficulty that have put me off trying FUBAR though. Think I might just leave this @ 950 gamerscore and move on (I'm not quite there yet, but tomorrow should clean it up). If FUBAR had been available from the start I'd probably have 1000d the game, but meh.
I'm not much of a completionist ^_^

FUBAR definitely holds its fair share of challenges. Holding positions, Juggernauts and Knife guys are by far the real challenge, but for the majority you can have Adams and Lugo pick off guys while you're safe in cover, just watch out for grenades and if you have a clear shot, take it!

On suicide mission, the only part I felt hard was just the chapter 10 part 2.
But on FABUR, that's insane.
Yeah maybe a coop can help a little for this, but that will ruined the game's story.

Campaign is solid and has a decent storyline...
But fuck me it's hard... Don't know if it's just because I'm an FPS player coming to third person but this is one of the hardest campaigns I've played - even on Combat Ops I died constantly

#35, Thanks for that. I just picked up the game (on the list but, not a chance), I wont start on FUBAR mode, like I was thinking off...
Story sounds good, so it might be something I play through 2 times at least, so I'll start at Combat Ops and when I do it again, go in at FUBAR mode... Like I do with most games..

WOW this one was really hard. There is a handy walkthrough on you tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz6OX32WcRM). For the really tricky bits it does help at least to see what happens through the levels first so you don't constantly get just a bit further than before only to be overcome by a big wave or a sneaky bastard that kills you from nowhere, or a heavy armour juggernaut guy that you haven't saved any 'nades for... At the end of the day the key is to use cover all the time and be patient and very persistent. Good luck!

This is bullshit! I've spent far too much time trying to beat this game on FUBAR difficulty...This is the sorriest exuse for a game as I have ever seen...The enemies take SEVERAL headshots to take down. This makes zero fucking sense to me...the enemies are HUMAN...you shoot a man in the head once, he dies no matter what. Shoot 100 guys in the head they die every fucking time. PERIOD. Except in Spec Ops, where they grow super human douche bags programmed to ruin my fucking day.
Sunday, August 05, 2012 @ 08:37:32 PM
#45: That's nonsense. When I played it the enemies even died due to a headshot from the M9.
That's a real pain-in-the-ass-cheevo. I nearly got crazy at that one. Two important hints: ALWAYS stay in cover. If you peek over the cover for too long you'll die. The second one: mark enemies for Lugo and Adams. Mostly they'll act really good for an AI. If you beat the first ten chapters you will easily make it through the last four ones.

This would be manageable if the friendly AI was better, there weren't so many grenades, the checkpoints were placed after cutscenes, and (in particular) if the loading screens after death weren't so damn fucking long.
I only managed to get to Chapter 3 before giving up. Got all of the other Achievements though. Good luck to all who try.

@48 You should go back to it. You are right its not a perfect game and its flaws are magnified in FUBAR. The game DESPERATELY needs a hold command and oddly enough a take cover command. Lugo and Adams especially engage enemies in the open far too often regardless of whether or not I gave an attack order. But it is the hardest difficulty of a 4 tier difficulty game so it should be harder then whats usual for these games. It was quite rewarding win I did beat it as was the epilogue.

You guys say you hate MP achievements, well I think the worst are online achievements. Ones where you have to have a subscription to Live or PSN. And besides the fact that not everybody can afford a subscription or Internet, they're almost always something insane, like Soul Calibur's play 100 online matches or Moral Kombat's achievements where you have to win 50 matches online against someone who's way out of your league. That, my friends, sucks.

Just finished the game on FUBAR difficulty (my first 1000 G). Well..it was really challenging comparing to Suicide mission difficulty. Chapter 6 first battle and Chapter 13 second battle (where we defending an injured teammate) were absolute nightmares. It took maybe 30 tries for both fights for me, especialy that fight in Chapter 13 (the last wave with a heavy trooper and 2 elites was a hell).
But after all it's doable, all you need is a patience and to progress in your aiming and timing shots when leaving a cover.
A couple of simple advices: 1. If you're feeling completely stuck, enable auto-aim in settings; 2. Always take cover which have enough length to avoid grenades by simple moving left or right (if your cover is tight, you'll be wiped out by a grenade or killed by a gunfire wh

Just beat this game on Combat Ops difficulty. Have every achievement except Suicide Mission and FUBAR. Don't think I'll replay it seeing as how even on Combat Ops there were spikes in the game that nearly drove me insane. Said I didn't complete Chapter 1 on FUBAR. Fuck you game you cheating piece of shit...
