- Glitchy achievements: None
- Unobtainable achievements: None
- Extra equipment needed?: None

Step 1: Monster Land:

Here you will want to play through trying to get as much money as possible and get the legendary equipment. If you want to get every achievement, hold off on buying the legendary item for either shoes, boots or armour, and have the 3rd best at the most. Then get to the apes and save. Keep killing them over and over till they drop either shoes, boots or armour for you Lost and Found achievement.

Here's where you should get which achievement
Round 5: "Lost and Found"
Round 6: "Question: Who defeated me?"
Round 7: (Part 2) "Gold in the Clouds"
(Part 3) "Ghost Slayer"
Round 8: "You are a True Hero"

If you want to make the game easier on yourself make sure you complete the side quest and accept the ruby. This will cut the final boss time in almost half. Here is the requirements for the side quest:
In Round 2, Part 2. (Inside the cave) on the 3rd floating platform you come to, push up to open a secret door. The person in here will give you a letter to start the quest.
In Round 4, Part 2 (outside shopping area) there is a secret door in the window to the right of the shield shop. Push up here and the person inside will exchange the letter for a flute.
In Round 7, Part 3 (just after you drop out of the clouds) Head all the way to the right and you will see a body of water . Swim through that and climb up the ladder on the other side. You will play the flute automatically and reveal the secret mansion on the right. Go over there and head inside. Once inside, Head left and kill the enemies. Kill the pink knight and head onto the moving platform and hit up at its peak to obtain a charm
In Round 11, Part 2. When you sink down into this area make sure you hold to the left to access the shop. Enter and exit this shop twice (you can buy stuff if you want but you don't have to) to board it up. Once it's boarded up try and enter it once more and you will. You will swap the charm for the emblem behind here.
In the last part of the same round, use the last door before the exit and you will be offered either a bell or a ruby.

Then finish the game using no continues and press  during the credits. If you get the Pink autosave icon then the completion of that game has been saved and you can move on.

Step 2: Wonder Boy in Monster World:
Here is the easiest of the 3 games, purely because you can't miss anything. You can backtrack to wherever you like. You can get the wizard achievement when you are in the pyramid. The other 2 you won't get until you are in the castle up in the clouds. Just play through the game picking up all the hearts and grab the magic. Then when you get to the Castle in the clouds you can grab the legendary armour set.

As with Monster Land when the credits start to roll, press  and make sure you get the autosave icon to know that it has counted towards your Congratulations achievement.

Step 3: Monster World IV:
This game removes the free roam aspect that the last game had so for the 150 Life Drops you need to make sure you have them all from each area before moving on. Some areas have points of no return within them so it can be a pain to get them all. Other than worrying about those make sure you answer Sphinx wrong at the pyramid and activate the spring and at some point perform 3 downthrusts without touching the floor. For an easy method on that look below. Also while you are climbing the tower of silence if you can land your gold total on 777 exactly the game will reward you another 7000 gold. If you want to achieve this with minimal stress make a save when you are close and kill enemies until they drop the number you need. They drop a random amount every time you reload.

After you defeat the final boss you should get your Congratulations achievement and your completion.

[x360a would like to thank Cla55y for this Roadmap]

Lost and Found10
Obtained equipment from a defeated enemy in Wonder Boy in Monster Land.

You get certain items from various enemies. For this achievement you need to get either Shoes, Shield or Armour from them. So if you have fully upgraded those 3 you can't get this achievement. The earliest you can get this is round 5 with the rock throwing gorillas. If you want to get the achievement as soon as possible you could save state just before you get to them and reload if they don't drop the goods.

Ghost Slayer5
Defeated a resilient Ghost in Wonder Boy in Monster Land.

These are in the final dungeon but killing one there will cost you a lot of life due to the time restrictions and you are going to need all the life you can get to defeat the dragon. If you wish you can save state at them, defeat one and load to get your life back

OR

You can do the games singular side quest to find another couple of blue ones and also get a ruby in the same side quest to make the final boss much easier and faster.
The side quest is as follows:
Here you will find the blue ghosts you are looking for along with a pink knight.
If you take the bell it will help guide you through the final castle to the boss but you will have the whole final boss fight on your hands. If you take the ruby you will need to find your own way through the castle and the boss will be cut in almost half.

Gold in the Clouds10
Found all the gold hidden in the clouds of Round 7 in Wonder Boy in Monster Land.

This is located in the 2nd part of round 7. BUT before you go up there you need wing boots. The easiest way to do it is to have the legendary boots before you get to round 7. (which is easily doable) and the shoe shop will sell them to you. Buy them and head up into the clouds. Once up here you need to land on every cloud (except the one that is above at the part with the brick platforms. Every cloud will drop a bag of gold and you must pick it up. The last one you need to hold jump to glide (with your wing boots) across to.

You are a True Hero10
Obtained all the Legendary Equipment in Wonder Boy in Monster Land. (3)

First off, go to your control settings and map the “waggle” to a button you can comfortably press after jumping. After that use the waggle to jump through hidden coins. If you do it right you will get 60+ gold from every coin. Its best to save before going through each one just in case you mess it up. Whist you are going through the game doing this stop off at every armour, shield and shoe shop and buy the most expensive available. It will eventually be the Legendary you buy.

To get the sword (which will probably be the last thing you need for the achievement you need to kill the hidden bosses in the game. They are as follows
Vampire - round 2 - broad sword
Kong - round 5 - great sword
Poverty - round 7 - excalibur
Demon - round 8 - Sword of legend

Once you get your last piece you will get the achievement.

Question: Who defeated me?20
Defeated the Sphinx in Wonder Boy in Monster Land. (1)

For this you must actually fight Sphinx, he is at the end of round 6. Save just before entering the red boss door. Answering his question correctly will NOT get you this achievement. If you followed the guide for the legendary equipment you should have all but the sword by this point and you can just lay into him and you should come out on top. If not, reload and try again.

Refreshment5
Washed your face in the spring at the Pyramids in Monster World IV.

The spring is located down and the the left of Sphinx. But all you can do when you first get there is examine it. To actually use it you need to first clear out the first 2 pyramid sections. Then when you get to sphinx answer his questions incorrectly and you will be thrown down onto a spiky ice structure. From here head to that spring and you will wash your face in it.

Such Agility10
Landed 3 consecutive downthrusts without touching the ground in Monster World IV. (1)

To perform a downthrust you must hold down and press attack. This will perform the action displayed in the achievement picture. You must land 3 hits before touching the ground to get this. An easy way to do it is at the very end of the game. You will come to a room you fall through and there is jellyfish on the way down. Hold down and your attack button and land 3 hits. (Don't let go, I couldn't get it to work when I re-initiated the action 3 times).

Every Last Drop30
Collected all the Life Drops in Monster World IV. (1)

I have written a guide detailing all the locations of the Life Drops HERE. Make sure you get them all in order as this game has no backtracking.

Wizard10
Used all types of magic in Wonder Boy in Monster World.

The types of magic are:
Fire Storm
Thunder
Quake
Shield
Power
Return

The 1st 5 can be found in 1 chest inside the pyramid. After you talk to sphinx, from the door you come out of back into the pyramid drop down to the left and walk right up against the wall you just dropped down, Push up and you will be in a room with the chest. Open it up to find 5/6 spells you need. (You can also find these spells elsewhere too. Firestorm you get given at the very beginning of the game.)

For Return, there is only 1 place you can find it, Poseidon's cave. Just after the section with where you need to disable the fans for the first time you will come to a crossroads with 2 balls floating in the middle. Head up and hit the red switch there, then go back and to the left, through the upper path you just disabled and work your way to the bottom left of this room.

Once you have all 6, equip them and use them, they do not need to hit anything to count. Be warned though that Return will take you back to the last inn you stayed at, so avoid using that if you are progressing through a dungeon or you will be redoing it.

With All One's Heart30
Collected all the heart containers in Wonder Boy in Monster World.

Heart containers are what increase your maximum life, you collect them from chests, they are NOT the hearts enemies drop so don't worry about missing them.
Also Wonder Boy in Monster World is completely open world, you can back track anywhere you want so if you miss any of them you can go back and pick them up later.
There are 14 but as you start with 3 you only need collect 11

1) In the first dungeon before you open the 3rd ocarina door there is a chest above you just before the spikes. VERY hard to miss.

2) You need the dwarf companion with you to be able to reach this one.
In the second dungeon you need to avoid the rolling ball and duck under it to the right at the bottom on the hill. Head all the way through this tunnel and you will come to a ladder, head right and climb another ladder. Head left and into the next screen. Hit the switch and go right, back into the area you just left. The steps you just jumped over now lead down to breakable silver blocks. Break the blocks and walk in. (Don't go too far there is a false floor at the very end) Your dwarf buddy will smash a wall about halfway in. Head through the hole and claim your heart.

3)After the second dungeon and having obtained the trident, head all the way back to the very begging on the game. When you get to the part with the jellyfish that you bounced across the first time, jump into the water with the trident equipped. Swim to the left and you will see a small gap in the wooden wall, in there is the chest.

4) In the cave where you kill the knight and save the princess, the second body of water from the right has a secret door at the bottom. You need the trident to get to it. Push up at the very bottom, to open the secret door. Follow the path and find the chest at the end.

5) In Poseidon's Cave, when you come to the part where you need to disable the 2 fans. One switch is on the top floor, one is on the bottom. The heart is in between the 2.

6) In the third dungeon (the Ice one) when you get to the part where you would jump up to find the boss door, instead head all the way left and jump into the door on the tower.

7) Once you have obtained all the pygmy armour. Head into the door just to the right of the dragon village to turn small.
Once small head back to the second dungeon in the forest. Once there head down the first ladder and go through the small opening to the left and into the small door. On the other side is the Chest.

8) While as a pygmy, (as described above) backtrack from the dragon village to the pyramid via the left path. Once there drop all the way down and through the small opening, push the switch and drop down, from here head left and through that small opening. Drop down and walk through the wall on the left (it looks solid but it's not really). (The doors here hide a lot of chests with treasure in them)

9) While in the volcano, you will do a lot of moving forward, pushing a switch and then backing up to find an opened passage. When you reach the switch where a fireball chain comes out to your left, kill it and jump down into the lava. You will fall straight through and find the chest with the heart and an exit door.

10) Once you have obtained the Legendary Sword and travelled up into the clouds, head left until you come to a cloud platforming section. Here you should be able to see the chest above you. To get to it you need to traverse the clouds right and then come back left on the row higher up.

11) The final heart is inside the Castle right after the section mentioned above. Once you come to the section where you can jump onto the mine cart go past it and head all the way to the bottom. Once on the very bottom track head all the way left and push up. You will enter a secret pygmy door. Once you are through that head right and drop down. Head right and back up the rope to the mine cart. Jump on the mine cart this time and travel down and jump onto the platform next to the rope. Climb up the rope and grab the small rope that will take you across the spikes. Once there Drop down the hole to the right. (Legendary Armour chest is right here) From here go through the small opening and find your chest.

The Legendary Wonder Boy15
Collected all the Legendary Equipment in Wonder Boy in Monster World.

The Legendary Equipment is very easy to obtain and its 100% free! The Sword you will get as part of the story. The rest of the pieces are in the castle that's up in the clouds. Here's their locations:

Shoes: In the minecart section, drop down a level and head all the way right. Here you will find a spring that wants to throw you up a level, but if you jump that and carry along the same level you will find a chest with your prize.

Armour: Just after that part you will climb a rope and use a smaller one to traverse some spikes. Once across drop down the hole to the right and the chest is right there.

Shield: A little trickier to get but still easy. A couple of rooms after that you come to a bunch of spitting plants on the floor. Kill all of them and equip your thunder magic. Jump on the rope on the right and ride it up. Once your near the peak use the thunder to kill everything on screen. Drop back down and go up the left rope lift. Jump to the right to find the chest.

Congratulations!45
Cleared all the games. Impressive! (3)

Sounds very straight forward and for the most part it is. Wonder Boy in Monster World and Monster World IV you just need to get to and defeat the final boss. However Wonder Boy in Monster Land you must do without using any continues (you can save state as much as you like though). With all three of them to make sure they count, when viewing the credits (or when back at the main menu after the credits) press the back button. You should see a pink memory card looking thing and a line spinning around it. If it does that, it counted. If not then it didn't.
