Introduction:
The Bigs 2 is, obviously, the sequel to 2k Sports' The Bigs. It is an arcade style baseball game in the vein of NBA Jam or NFL Street. The achievements are not too difficult but can be rather time consuming or redundant. For all achievements I recommend playing on the easy difficulty. Also feel free to work on all the in-game achievements during the Become a Legend or Season mode.

Step 1:
Become a Legend Mode: 9 Achievements (230)
In this mode you create a player and work your way through a career. Unlike in the first The Bigs you only have the opportunity to use 3 stolen players at a time, so I recommend using an initially strong team such as the Yankees or Red Sox. You will begin play in Mexico and then play various teams and complete a number of challenges. You'll unlock the Mexico and Japan achievements during Season 4 and all the others after that season. Make sure to unlock all the Legends before completing the Babe Ruth challenges. Also make sure you strike out Ruth before completing the last challenge.

While these can be done in any order I recommend completing Become a Legend mode first to become acclimated with the game and it make easier for the other achievements. For specific hints see the guide below.

Step 2:
Home Run Pinball: 9 Achievements (150)
You will have had the opportunity to have played on all 4 Home Run Pinball levels during the Become a Legend mode and may have unlocked some achievements along the way. You will not unlock Retro Times Square until the completion of Become a Legend mode. You must also do the co-op based "Double the Fun" achievement with another player at your 360 or with a boosting partner online. For specific hints see the guide below.

Step 3:
Season Mode: 3 Achievements (180)
There are three achievements to be gained in the season mode and it is easiest to work on all of them at once. I would recommend playing as one of the stronger teams, such as the Yankees or Red Sox, and going for all three achievements in one run through. One good method for going after the Legendary Milestone achievements is to play on easy, for 9 innings, and play every third game (using your ace pitcher). Thus you'll be able to control the wins and Ks for that pitcher (with a strong starter on an easy diffiulty you should be able to strike out roughly 20 batters per game) and if you take the time to beat the computer by a sizeable margin and focus on stealing bases and hitting home runs you should be able to get your chosen players on a pace that will allow them to break the Legendary season milestones. It's reasonable, after the experience of completing Become a Legend mode, to be able to win these games by 30 or 40 runs so focus on hits with one player, HRs and RBIs with another and SBs with a third.

Step 4:
Mop-Up: 14 Achievements (410)
Almost all of these should be unlocked during the course of your Become a Legend and season mode playthroughs. The only one you'll likely need to acquire is Power Struggle which is best achieved by playing a 3 inning game with an All Star team at home against one of the weakest opponents, such as Washington or Pittsburgh.

Step 5:
Multiplayer: 2 Achievements (30)
Get a boosting partner in the achievement trading thread and grind these out, you can drop after the first pitch and it counts as a win.

After following this guide you should have The Bigs 2 completed, congratulations!

[x360a would like to thank BWOzar for this Roadmap]

Times Square Master15
Get 1,000,000 points in the Times Square Home Run Pinball venue.

This is the same level as in the first Bigs. The best scoring zones (10,000 per hit) are the signs hit with the up+left and up+right power swings. Try to save the power swing accumulated with the gain of 100,000 points for when you have a multiplier activated and aim for the New Years' Ball, the green thing on the upper right, and the blue screen on the upper left. This is a much easier achievement than in the first game as spaces you have hit recover much more quickly in this game.

Shibuya Master15
Get 1,000,000 points in the Shibuya Home Run Pinball venue.

The best scoring zones (10,000 per hit) are the neon signs hit with the up+left and the billboard signs with the up+right power swings. Again save your power swings for when you have a multiplier active. Your top aiming priority with the power swing should be the Giant Brute (Godzilla-clone) located behind the four up-right power swing billboards.

Vegas Master15
Get 1,000,000 points in the Vegas Home Run Pinball venue.

he best scoring zones (10,000 per hit) are the Meow sign hit with the up and the Blue Castle sign hit with the up+right power swings. Again save your power swings for when you have a multiplier active. Your top aiming priority with the power swing should be the Eiffel Tower which has 3 tiers to hit, the Luxor (the pyramid) and the hot air balloon.

Retro Times Square Master15
Get 1,000,000 points in the Retro Times Square Home Run Pinball venue.

This venue is unlocked when you complete Become a Legend mode. The best way to score here is to hit the New Year's Ball a second time. In order to get to the New Years' Ball you must first hit the Blue Castle logo with Up+B 6 times (hit it three times, then wait for it to light up again). Then get a power blast and swing with Up+B to hit the New Year's Ball. Now charge a second a power blast and try to get a multiplier active and hit the ball a second time, it will be destroyed but the hit is worth 100,000 (so upwards of 600,000 if you have a big multiplier) which makes it easier to get the 1,000,000.

Double the Fun50
Get 2,000,000 points in any Home Run Pinball venue while playing co-op. (1)

Choose any venue, Times Square is likely the easiest if you've played the first game, and play with a partner until you make it to 2,000,000.

You are the Champions100
Win the World SeriesĀ® and get a season score of 1,000,000 or more at the end of a Season. (1)

The entire season can be simulated to get this achievement so long as the World Series is won at the end of the season. The Power Derby is immediately before the All Star Game and must be played (h/t: Sly Breezy).

10 Times the Fun20
Win 10 Ranked Exhibition Xbox LIVE Matches. (9)

These can be boosted online assuming you can find your partner. I'm as yet unaware if wins via opponent quitting count towards the achievement. If not use the method listed above in Become a Legend mode when boosting (bunt every single at bat after the team to win scores) to speed things up. Look in the Achievement Trading Thread to find a partner to boost with.

Power Derby Winner30
Come out on top in the BIGS 2 Power Derby in Season mode. (3)

This occurs in season mode immediately before the All Star game, play through it while working towards the other Season Mode achievements.

Cross-Continental Success10
Win your first ranked match on Xbox LIVE.

See "10 Times the Fun."

Power Struggle15
Win a game on Super Hard in any single player game mode.

Set the game to three innings and Super Hard mode. Use an All Star team against one of the weakest teams (one of the Mexican ones) and play as the home team. Fenway is a good option because the monster tends to keep a few home runs per game in the park.

Taste of Power10
Perform your first Legendary Catch in any single player game mode.

I got this in my first Become a Legend game. They occur when a ball is lined directly at your fielder or hit a long dive away. You will be required to complete either a DDR-lite sort of button pressing minigame (the higher your fielding rating the more time you have to press the buttons) or a 'hold and release' minigame where you hold an indicated button until told to release it.

Blammo!15
Fill your Powerup Meter and successfully complete a Big Slam in Any Single Player Game Mode.

You need to acquire 125,000 points and use the LB+RB big slam. The big slam mode sees four pitches thrown at four batters in rapid succession, each time you make contact counting as a single until the bases are loaded where any contact is a grand slam.

The Slam Dance10
Strike Out the Potential Home Run Hit on a Big Slam in any single player game mode.

This requires a bit of luck as you only have the opportunity to throw one pitch to the first batter when facing the computer's big slam which is then repeated for the next three batters. I find it's easiest to get this if you respond to the computer's Big Slam mode with your own Big Heat mode, if you throw a perfect Big Heat pitch there's a good chance the computer will miss it, especially on easier difficulties.

Two for the Price of One10
Perform a Successful Double Steal in any single player game mode.

When you have a fast base runner on a second, and a runner on first, use the Y button to take a lead then the LB button to double steal. Make sure to have turbo accumulated (and that the computer doesn't) and use that to guarantee your success.

Best Season Ever50
Match all of the Legendary Milestones during a season in Season Mode.

For the "Best Season Ever" achievement each milestone must be met with a single player, but they can be different players on the same team. Thus, if playing as the Yankees, you can steal 130 bases with Brett Gardner, hit 73 home runs with Alex Rodriguez and get 262 hits with Derek Jeter over the course of a season and each counts towards achieving a Legendary Milestone. You don't need to play every game in the season - you just need to hit each milestone. This can be done with players acquired by trades as well, so feel free to get players with Legendary speed, power and contact to make these easier.

The milestones are 73 HR (Barry Bonds, 2001), 130 SBs (Rickey Henderson, 1982), 262 Hits (Ichiro Suzuki, 2004), 191 RBIs (Hack Wilson, 1930), 41 Wins (Jack Chesbro, 1904) and 383 Ks (Nolan Ryan, 1973) for the season and 4 HR (Has happened 15 times, first by Lou Gehrig, 1932), 7 SBs (George Gore, 1881 and Billy Hamilton, 1894), 9 Hits (Johnny Burnett, 1932), 12 RBIs (Jim Bottomley, 1932 and Mark Whiten, 1993) and 20 Ks (Has happened 3 times in a 9 inning game, Roger Clemens, 1986 & 1996 and Kerry Wood, 1998) in a single game. For useless trivia purposes I've listed the players and year each of these numbers comes from as well.

Burglar15
Steal 3 bases in one game in any single player game mode.

Same as above, just steal 3 bases in a game. No need for double steals or steals of 3rd. Fast runners can easily steal second on weak throwing catchers without turbo.

Look Out Below!20
Get 5 Home Runs in a single game in any single player game mode.

Simply hit 5 home runs in a game, they can be done with a big blast or a big slam home run.

Party Like it's 1881!50
Get a Grand Slam without using the Big Slam powerup in any single player game mode.

Load the bases and a hit a home run. This can be done with the big blast power.

Take that Blimp Down10
Hit the Blimp with a Big Blast in the Las Vegas Home Run Pinball Venue.

You must activate your big blast power right as the blimp is coming into view over the Luxor (pyramid) in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Swing with  and no direction and the second hit should hit the blimp.

Slay the Giant Brute10
Hit the Giant Brute with a Big Blast in the Shibuya Home Run Pinball Venue.

Located with the Up-Right power swing. First you must hit the billboards four times then use a power shot (with up-right) to hit the Giant Brute).

Apocalyptic Success10
Break the Globe in the Times Square Home Run Pinball Venue.

Located with the Up-Left power swing. You must hit it four times, first hitting the letters B-C-G then the globe itself.

Happy New Years10
Hit the New Year's Ball with a Big Blast in the Retro Times Square Home Run Pinball Venue.

This venue is unlocked when you complete Become a Legend mode. In order to get to the New Years' Ball you must first hit the Blue Castle logo with + 6 times (hit it three times, then wait for it to light up again). Then get a power blast and swing with + to hit the New Year's Ball.

Can't Intimidate Me!10
Get a Wheelhouse Turbo x3 strike vs Legendary Batting Attributes in any single player game mode.

Simply throw three strikes (non-foul balls) in a row with the third being in the wheelhouse of a batter with a Legendary batting attribute. Numerous players in the Cooperstown challenges have legendary attributes, as do players such as Pujols, Ramirez or Rodriguez.

Perfection20
Get a shutout in a 5 inning game minimum in any single player game mode.

Throw a shutout with your starting pitcher. Obviously easiest if put on Easy difficulty and done with a strong pitcher.

Penultimate Perfection50
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting an official hit.

See "Textbook Perfection."

Textbook Perfection100
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting on base at all. (2)

Throw a five inning perfect game with your pitcher. Set the difficulty to Easy and use a great pitcher on an All Star team against an extremely weak offensive teams such as Seattle or San Francisco. Focus on throwing perfect pitches and on shrinking the wheelhouses of good players in the first two innings as it's a lot more frustrating to give up a hit to a solid player in the 4th or 5th inning than in the 1st.

Hit for the Cycle75
Hit for the cycle in any single player game mode. (1)

Attain a single, double, triple and home run in a game with the same batter. Be careful to pay attention to what your hitters have done as the stat page in-game does not reflect the difference between singles, doubles and triples (though often the announcer will mention what is necessary for the cycle if you're close). The hardest to attain is the triple, make sure to make liberal use of your turbo on a ball that's hit to the wall in the outfield.

Against the Odds10
Get a base hit off of a legendary pitch in any single player game mode.

Eventually during the course of a season you'll face a pitcher with legendary level pitches, the first time you face one in Become a Legend mode is the first Cooperstown challenge. Alternately just do a play now game against the Yankees and hit a slider from Sabathia.

Secret Achievements

Become a Legend100
Completed Become a Legend Mode.

All of these will be unlocked by working your way through the Become a Legend mode. They are not based on difficulty so if you want to speed up the process set the difficulty to 'Easy,' achieve whatever goals the game sets for your Created Player and take the lead, then bunt with every one of your hitters. This will result in significantly faster games than blowing out the computer every time.

Some of the harder challenges include those where you need to steal bases or get Legendary catches with your created player. First keep in mind that you won't actually need to complete every Cooperstown challenge along the way, you just need enough Hall of Fame votes to add up to 500 (some votes also come during the course of season games). I had completed 13/15 before advancing to the final section of the mode. In order to make stolen bases easier hit lead off and put a player that has a free turbo in the #2 spot in the lineup (such as Ichiro or Markakis) - single with your player and steal with the aid of the turbo. In order to get a Legendary catch you'll actually need to fall behind (your created player gets a +3 bonus to all stats when losing) first, I'd recommend playing in right field and throwing horrendous pitches inside to left handed batters and outside to right handed batters - eventually, you'll have the opportunity to get a Legendary catch and if you're playing on easy it shouldn't be too difficult to make a come back.

Mexico Complete20
Completed the Mexico portion of Become a Legend Mode.

Don't worry if you don't get this when you first leave Mexico, you'll return during Season 4.
See "Become a Legend."

Japan Complete20
Completed the Japan portion of Become a Legend Mode.

Don't worry if you don't get this when you first leave Japan, you'll return during Season 4.
See "Become a Legend."

Steal Ozzie Smith15
Won the Ozzie Smith challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame.

See "Become a Legend."

Ozzie Smith: You must face him in a fielding challenge. Just be sure to make no mistakes especially on the 25,000 pt. catches and 10,000 pt. catches

Steal Dave Winfield15
Won the Dave Winfield challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame.

See "Become a Legend."

Dave Winfield: You must face Dave Winfield and his group in a good old fashioned 5 inning game. My advice is to do this one last because if you do this last you will have the other Hall of Famers on your team which makes things a lot easier. Another thing is to throw your pitches out of the strike zone, because if you throw perfect or close to perfect pitches out of the strike zone then the hitters will still swing and 90% of the time strike out.

Steal Wade Boggs15
Won the Wade Boggs challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame.

See "Become a Legend."

Wade Boggs: You face Wade Boggs in the contact mini game. My only advice here is to hit every green and yellow ball because since it doesn't generate the same ball for you and Wade it can be all about who got the luckiest when it comes to the color of the balls flying at you.

Steal Reggie Jackson15
Won the Reggie Jackson challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame.

See "Become a Legend."

Reggie Jackson: I believe you face Mr. October in the Home Run Derby. My advice is to aim towards the 5,000 pt. targets. Do not worry about the 10,000 or 1,000 targets. First person to 100,000 pts. Can activate a big blast to win the game.

Steal Ryne Sandberg15
Won the Ryne Sandberg challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame.

See "Become a Legend."

Ryne Sandberg: You must face him in a running/obstacle course challenge across the rooftops of Wrigley field and eventually to home plate. Just make sure to keep even with him throughout the race because on the last leg of the race is the easiest part to catch and beat him when you have to hit a series of buttons.

Legendary Strikeout15
Struck out the great Bambino! (2)

You'll face Babe Ruth in a variety of challenges at the end of Become a Legend mode and he can be struck out then.
