What Remains

Complete Episode 5: "No Time Left"

And here we go...

When Lee comes to he will have a quick non-altering dialog segment to share with Clem which will devolve into getting out of the garage. Lee will assist Clem in trying to open the door in a button smashing sequence that will only end in failure.

After the failed attempt Lee will break the bad news to Clem about the bite. Lee will naturally be upset providing Lee with the opportunity to say one of the most important non-altering dialog segments of the season. Clem will comment on a way out being in the back and Lee will struggle to get back there. This is it folks, Lee's falling apart on us and his eyes didn't look all that good either. In order to progress you need to press up on the

About half way Lee will slip up a bit which will open up another non-altering dialog between Clem and Lee. After the dialog progress forward again and once he gets to the end he'll dash forward and land next to a radiator. From this position Clem will encourage you to get up and you have to button smash in order to do so. No matter how valiant you are, this is Lee's final spot. Clem encourages Lee to try again--an effort which again results in failure. He is unable to get up.

Lee and Clem will have a non-altering dialog segment which will result in Lee trying to help Clem get out. After attempting to open the door, Clem will need to find something to break the glass window has her hand simply won't work. If you look all the way to Lee's left (Clem's right) there is a baseball bat lying in the shelving. Have her go over and grab it. She'll come back and you will need to direct her to break the glass. In order for her to get to the knob on the other side she will need a boost. Have her move the chair to the right of the door for easier access.

After she moves the chair and unlocks the door have her open it up. Upon quick examination the two of you will notice that the walker is trapped and cannot move. Have Clem go over and grab the handcuffs as well. When she brings them back click on Lee to have Clem attach the handcuffs on both Lee and the radiator. After she handcuffs Lee you will need to inform her which item she should go for first. Ultimately it doesn't matter as the story progresses the same way no matter what.

When she goes for an item it will turn into a cut-scene panic event. The walker will break free and will grab onto Clem who will crawl back through the doorway. When she gets through she will knock over the vase/glass item on top of that stand. It will temporarly daze Lee, but you must not waver. You will need to click on the baseball bat twice in order to kick it over to Clem who is trying to fend off the walker. She will take the bat and show that girls can play baseball too. After she bashes his brains out Lee will get some final words--words that will carry with Clem.

I did it. I got him. - Clem
1. You can take care of yourself. - Clem will remember that but will be worried about Lee.
2. Great, Clem. - Non-altering response.
3. Come here. - Non-altering response.
4. . . . - Clem will remember your silence and be scared.

Clem will then walk over and grab the gun and keys. After some emotional non-altering dialog the big question arises:

To kill or not to kill............Lee - Clem + Lee
1. Leave me. - Clem will leave Clem instead of killing him.
2. You have to shoot me. - Clem will shoot Lee.

Lee will have one more chance to give Clem her last advise before either she leaves or she kills Lee:

Okay, Lee... I can do it. I can. - Clem
1. Find a group. - Clem will remember that and be confused.
2. Find Omid and Christa. - Clem will remember that and be grateful.
3. Don't trust anybody. - Clem will remember that and be scared.
4. . . . - Non-altering.

And one more follow up dialog segment:

And Clem.... - Lee
1. Keep that hair short. - Clem will remember that and promises to do it.
2. Always keep moving. - Clem will remember,
3. Stay away from cities. - Clem will remember that and promises to stay away from cities.
4. . . . - Non-altering response.

With one more shot of non-altering dialog if you chose to kill Lee, Clem will raise the gun and fire.

If you chose to have Clem simply go there will be a little extra non-altering dialog and a much sadder image of Lee in your mind.

Well we did it ladies and gents. That's all she wrote. One final note is that I recommend you wait through the credits and watch the scene at the end. That's all I'm going to say on it, watch it and join me again for our journey through Season 2.

Sad to see this game come to a close. Out of all the big name releases this year, this game will probably stick with me the longest.

I hope the next season can keep it going.

Totally agree. For an XBLA, its been far more enjoyable than most retail games. Plus its got a lot of replayability due to the choices you can make along the way.

Hope we get a 2nd season for this game. Let's face it, it would sell.

there's a retail fps walking dead coming out in early '13. hopefully it holds up to this version in entertainment value!

@3 I doubt it. First it's made by Activision who are terrible with licensed games and second it completely goes against everything the Walking Dead is supposed to be. This series is how a Walking Dead game should be handled, character/story driven, only fighting Walkers when necessary, making hard choices and always feeling vulnerable. Activision's game will more than likely end up been a cross between L4D and CoD, in which you just charge around with a shotgun killing thousands of Walkers, and will ignore everything Robert Kirkman wanted the series to be, a look at what Humans would do when placed into one of the worst situations possible.

@4 I agree. Being able to interact with each character and having to make hard choice that would affect the rest of the group (and story) is what made this game so good. You actually start to grow attached to certain characters and resent others. Becoming emotionally involved in the game allows you to really focus on the story versus just running around aimlessly shooting walkers. The storyline made this game and it is definitely one of my favorites because of that.

I didn't cry but I was genuinely scared a few times. Kind of wish they would've showed what happened to the remaining survivors, though. Can't wait for the next "season".

Just finished this and absolutely loved the series. Best DLC I've ever played. I love the way you build relationships(especially the father-daughter relationship with clem), and the way your actions impact on the group and the plot.

On the achievement front, I only 400/500 GS (32/40 Achievements) even though I've played through the whole series. Anyone else having this issue?

Wow, I definitely have no problem admitting I cried like a baby at the end of this. By far the only game I have ever played that brought me to tears. 5 stars, two thumbs up, GOTY, etc.

@14 - I have all of the achievements (500/500), did you play one of the episodes on the day it came out? I heard there were some issues with the cheevos being uploaded to the system right away.

Yes, I think I did. There's a thread at the end of the Chapter 4 achievement list on this site discussing how to fix the problem. I not going to delete and reload my profile though, will probably just live the non-registered points. :-)

I would love to see it continue as I am now curious if Clem survives. They made a point to show her after the credits out in the country with two figures walking side by side in the distance.......and?????????? I would be glad to cough up some more ms points to see what happens next.

Maybe, just maybe in the second walking dead [ which isn't known to be real] but maybe clementine is the main character, but older. Who agrees?

I bought the retail version because I'm not big on downloading stuff not yet any way and I was woundering if I were to playthrough this game again will the end be the same or will it be different with Lee still alive and makes out and would Kenny not stay behind and yes I agree with everyone here this one of the best and heart felt games that I have played in a long time. I hope that when their is a second season it was Omid and Christa that meet up with clemontine.

This was easily my favorite Zombie game ever. Others I have played come flat. I think it stems from the fact that the zombies are not the essential part of the story. I mean sure they are always there and killing people, but the story is really about the survivors and the break down of humanity. That to me, trumps spending all day shooting zombies with little growth or change.

Has anyone done a couple replays yet? On my first (and so far only) playthrough I made some decisions that Clementine's kidnapper deemed evil, specifically letting the girl get eaten by zombies when you're scouting with Kenny (I think it was in chapter 2) and taking the food from the back of the station wagon. I wonder if I save the girl and don't take the supplies, will Clem even be kidnapped in the first place? Then will Lee even get bitten, because he won't be frantically searching for Clem? What if in chapter 5 when the radio falls into the hole I chose to keep going instead of deciding we needed to get it, then Kenny wouldn't have gone in the hole to save Christa... Could I then not have chosen to tell Clem to go with Kenny?

By the way, after all the headache Kenny caused me i

By the way, after all the headache Kenny caused me i can't wait to cause him as much anguish and strife as I possibly can in my next playthrough. This was by far the best storyline I have ever experienced in a videogame. The plot and characters were so well written, in depth, and involving that by the time the ending came about I felt a genuine sadness and sympathy for Lee and Clementine.

This game easily scores a 10/10 in my books, and I am hoping for a sequel soon!

Absolutely STELLAR game! Totally blown away. Only finished one play through siding with Kenny the whole way and being super nice to everyone. Can't wait to finish up the other play through doing every thing the opposite.

Ending is just heart breaking. GO CLEM!!!

I really enjoyed this game but at times it feels the decisions you make don't really matter, Clem will always be kidnapped, you will always look for a boat etc, I think they could have branched out the plot more in later episodes, make it really personal to you but maybe they will in season 2.

Still 10/10 for this game though
