Tinker Achievements

Robot Master

Meld your mind with that of Tinker’s.

This achievement will unlock when you take 10,000 turns. After you have taken 10,000 turns you will need to complete a level for this to unlock. (This achievement has also been known to unlock instantly for some.)

You may or may not get this playing normally. It is possible to conquer all 7 sets without taking 10,000 turns. If you wish to "boost" this achievement, you can tape down the down arrow key and the space-bar and let it sit for about an hour or two. Come back and complete a level and it should unlock.

Easiest way to get this is load up tutorial level 7. Just place something heavy on your spacebar to hold it down. Walk away for roughly an hour and a half. Then proceed to finish the level. :)

Or... you can just play the game like a normal person, and just have it unlock when it comes around during normal play. Get it? Normal!

mine unlocked after i completed the first level... Robot Master 15g. I thought it was ironic because it took me 15 minutes to figure out the controls before I beat it and up popped the achievement!

Well... I'll have to recant my previous statement. I played this game legit over several weeks, taking a break here and there... and after finally finishing all the achievements (except this one), I went back to see if I could do better times on several levels I barely got under par.

I recently replaced my failing video card with a MUCH BETTER one, and that made a HUGE difference in how fast the little robot moves. I could EASILY beat all my times by 5 to 20 seconds... depending on how long to complete a level.

After replaying many of the levels (about 2 to 3 hours)... this final achievement would not pop! It's one thing to replay the game for fun... it's another thing to keep trying 3... 4... who knows how many times before it would unlock?! The "weighted item on your space bar" is a great trick, and it ultimately did the job - after another 3 or 4 HOURS leaving it running!!

You might need to go into your "Control Panel" in Windows, select "Keyboard" and click on the "Speed" tab. Then, change the "Repeat Rate" to the slowest setting and click "OK." If you don't... you risk overrunning the keyboard buffer and your computer will lock-up (it may keep running like mine did, but I couldn't stop the game - or anything else), and had to reset the PC!

BTW... the achievement description will change after you unlock it (yes, this is a spoiler... but you NEED to know what you're in for).

Once you unlock the achievement, the description reads: Take 10,000 turns.

That WILL take a LONG TIME... so I recommend boosting it, AFTER you have everything else, because you might end up playing the game enough before you finish the other achievements... that it might pop-up while you are actually playing it legit!
