This game is going to be magical. Platinum can do no wrong. They didn't even lump a bunch of online achievements on the list, but kept a good variety. I will find a copy of this at midnight somewhere.

Look forward this game in July 2012 for release if I am correct that SEGA still release it into early July this year.

Achievements look so easy but wait and see how hard difficulty is hardest or medium hard feel or whatsoever that difficulty make you feel pain to complete or less frustrate.

I am believe game will great because Platinum Games did fantastic job on Bayonetta and MadWorld (Wii title only) both titles are best of Platinum Games titles in my opinion while good title is Vanquish of course. Let hope Anarchy Reigns is good or great but not crap or medicore. :)

Best part about this list? Not a single MP achievement, so even if the community dissipates, you can always get the full 1000.

I really enjoy the fact that every achievement in the game uses some form of the word anarchy. I think its pretty funny.

I see an achievement that requires us to defeat Cthulhu.
It cant die, it doesn't die. Not to mention I really don't want to kill but, but still this is pretty badass.

So excited for this game, can't fucking wait. And no achievements to worry about online, I can just go in unprepared and have fun beating the crap out of people! Fantastic.
Must pre-order this for Bayonetta. :D

If I can trust any developer team, it would be definitive PLATINUM GAMES!
I mean: Bayonetta, Vanquish, Mad World. Now this and the upcoming game Metal Gear Rising. I am sooooo hyped for this game :D

As much as I love every Platinum game I've played so far, I was left very unimpressed with the demo I played of this at the Eurogamer Expo last year. It felt like a very poorly balanced button-masher. I hope the finished product is a lot better.

No multiplayer achievements in an almost strictly multiplayer-oriented game? Well I'll be.

@14 - I've read the preview in GameInformer, and it mentioned multiplayer. I shied away from it at first, but now hearing that there's no multiplayer Achievements just makes it a release-day but for me! Gonna pre-order it today...

@ 11 they pushed the game back for that exact reason. They retweaked and refined the gameplay. The latest Campaign trailers look damn good. This drops on my Born Day, so this is a definite cop for me.

I've yet to decide whether to give this game a shot or not, as I have been somewhat dissapointed with previous Platinum Games titles.

Platinum Games's "Vanquish" offers similar fast-paced action, which was great and defined a new aspect for shooters, but after a while, it just became repetitive and its charm faded away. Another point that shot down the game, in my opinion, was Vanquish's characters, voice acting and story elements: they presented stereotypical characters that you couldn't really attach to, or in other words - forgettable. The voice-acting is something I take seriously at heart. I was surprised to see that Steve Blum lended his voice for this game (he also featuring in Dragon Age: Origin as Oghren) - Even though his voice acting is top-notch, I felt that it wasn't compatible with the Lt. Col. Robert Burns character, idem for the protagonist Sam and his short-skirted helper Elena. I know that Platinum Games first offered the game in Japanese and the translation of the script and character expressions to other languages and culture must've been hard (look at Capcom, who prevails over the decades, and Media Vision, who lost its touch other the years with its "Wild Arms" series), but Japanese acting differs from Western acting with their all-out anime-genre exclamations and their abusive ellipsises at the end of every sentence. They try too hard to imitate the Western cultural behaviors and offer something very stereotypical instead, which I find unbearable, notably in this game. As for the story, it was "meh", predictable.

Any of you who reads this may refute that this is a no-brainer shooter, which is probably what Platinum Games intended in the first place; a run-and-gun shooter that differs and offers relief from the other saturated FPSs out there (Surely you can think of a few). Hopefully PG were not aiming at revolutionising the video game industry with their pointless story-telling.

If I can compare this game to something else, it would be like buying a new car. You are shown a car that possesses a powerful motor at its core and interesting new features to back it up, but it's being offered with a rusted chassis that not only looks ugly, but that's also unreliable. You could say "hey, at least it gets me from point A to point B", but with a chassis that can barely support its powerful components, it is bound to break up and fail at some point - a lemon. This analogy represents what I see in Vanquish: a solid shooter with interesting features, but with a story that barely holds together with the rest, thus delivering a game that's pleasant for a short-while until it just turns raw and sour.

My 2 cents. Feel free to send me a message if you want to discuss this further.

Glad there aren't any multiplayer achievements. They always put me off. I wasn't too interested in this game but that achievement list looks pretty solid and straightforward so I think I'll give this game a whirl.
