Treasure Isle is available as a pre-order bonus for most locations, or for 800MSP separately alongside the game's launch.

On Disc DLC doesn't bother me, either way if im gonna buy it why should it matter where it is stored.

However Day 1 DLC is just taking the piss, this should be free with every new copy of the game and now on principal i will miss out on what could be an awesome game

Unfortunately, due to extreme negative response on the PC release, I'm just going to pass on this.

If it winds up being the contrary on the 360, anyone can feel free to spam my inbox letting me know. =D

@2 yeah day 1 DLC puts me off 99% of the time just out of principal - its a dick move by the publishers.

The Day 1 DLC debate again? Didn't we clear this up when ME3 came out? Well, for those who missed it:

@7 thanks for the link, it's interesting for sure. A few weeks down the line DLC I'm OK(ish) with, day 1 DLC is still not cool though.

@#7 Even it if it is that way like displayed in the link, it is different with this game, since all the content was developed and already released for PC (fun fact: There was a glitch that did let you unlock the DLC, which was on the disc through the ingame console. See:
I see all these trying to justify Day1 or on disc DLC with "main game finished and gone to testing and then DLC production started" but really, when do they set the point, when the main game is finished? Its a random deadline, that has nothing to do with development progress. They could just opt to move the deadline to whenever they finish developing content and in my eyes the development of a game is finished when all the content intended is developed, not when a random date is reached.
I mean, they could do all the content in the game on previous systems, they would be able to do it on the 360 if they wanted to.
It just their choice to realese this content seperate for an extra charge.

DLC achievements look good but this DLC should release like few weeks after it is launch since it is already 50 achievements for launch. Oh well I agree with action frampton that bad move from publishers.

It's a bonus for pre-ordering the game people! The only people who should be pissed off by that are pirates, renters, and used game buyers. Which in the eyes of the Game companies, are the same.

New game prices drop faster than Lindsey Lohan's panties now days.

#12 Well but I am not one of them it, I alway preorder games and get DLCs but me, action frampton and others have our own opinion is that publishers is bad move to release DLC achievements same time as retail release. :)

Price drops depends on the game and its popularity. Plus, everyone knows that Lindsey Lohan doesn't wear panties....

@16 - Is it as confusing and aimless as Risen? Really didn't like the first one so if this is anything like it i'll be giving it a miss.

Im clearly in the minority here, but if its a preorder bonus I prefer having the option of buying it day 1.

@7 Pants please dont spout that day 1 dlc nonsense and try to justify it. What was every game developer doing before this generation during the time you believe its justifiable to develop day 1 dlc? Eating pizza and jacking off? Better yet what do a great deal of other developers do? Valve has never made a cent off dlc period or had a substantial day 1 dlc and I dont see them with a crisis on their hands of developers having no work, layoffs and people getting fired after they finish a game.

The last sentence of it sums it all up, game development is now a business and not a hobby. How true. Before, games used to be created by gamers for gamers... now its just one big money gouging experiment with EA leading the helm.

@7 that flow chart is missing the bit where they withhold parts of a game to increase day one sales and create a revenue stream, off those that didn't buy it day one ; in a purchasable component.

I hardly call ripping a flow chart from another website clearly made by a developer a conclusion to an argument.

Didnt like risen one it was all a bit of a mess. @19 comment make me a bit more excited.

I like getting a bonus when I preorder and buy a game new.

I like the fact that I get more content "free" by buying new at full price than the tight asses that wait till it goes on sale and then laments the closing of game studios. Didn't buy it new at full price with a preorder? I'm fine with gamers having to pay the extra cash for the content early adopters received with the new purchase.

Better preorder's will equal more sales. More sales = More games.

@7 too bad most of the ME3 DLC was on the disc so that chart doesn't really apply there.

I've got it pre-ordered, and it comes with the 'day one dlc' so I don't care. Hell, I wouldn't even if I didn't. I just don't get the issue with it. If you have a problem with the DLC, but want the game, buy the game and not the DLC. if you have a problem with the whole thing, don't buy it and move on. At this point, enough people are buying the DLC that its here to stay, so bitching isn't going to do anything. You may as well save yourself the effort.

This game was delayed cos theres more content in the game and with the day1 dlc it will only prolong this game, looks fine to me :)

@27 don't rip-off the common customer than by making content that was free for pre-orders, not free for everyone else.

As much as I'm enjoying the game so far, I have to completely disagree with you, at least in this case. Both DLCs are quite obviously on-disc, as they are both in the 100-200k file size range. As such, there's absolutely no reason why they are locked behind a DLC code, aside from pure corporate greed.
