What an unimaginative achievement list.

It's not MP heavy, I like that. It's open world like Burnout Paradise though and that was a time sink (but still fun). There's also an 80G cheevo in there that just sounds brutal.

Looks like most racing games as far as achievements go. Game looks way fun though. I don't care if the list is "unimaginative". It's not gonna stop me from playing!

I was hoping to relive good old times with this game but some of the achievements are just too brutal. Hopefully, won every race, with every car will be clarified.

So it's basically Burnout Paradise with NFS title on the box.

There aren't many MP achievements and they're far from hard, but I'm pretty sure this game will have an online pass like NFS: Hot Pursuit such is EA's style these days. You could definitely get them if they're doing the 2 day free trial though.

Finish first in every race with every car? Jeez that sounds like a time-sink.

This game is going to bomb. NFS is going downhill. Can we get another real burnout game like 3 and revenge?

@#11 - You mean just like how Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit bombed?

Achievement list seems good. I don't think that 80 point achievement means what everyone seems to think it means, but we'll see. I plan on completing this one, just like I did with Paradise, and Hot Pursuit (got SO close with Revenge, but I still need an online achievement).

Ok list, looks fairly easy. Was hoping for more of a challenge though and some achievements for the co-op challenges.

@#12: I know, right? Man Hot Pursuit is still one of the best racing games I have ever played (arcade vs. sim). I love it so much.

@8 That online pass will be there but it'll probably be like SSX where you could play online but not get speed points or achievements until you get a pass.

Played it yesterday and yes it's Burnout, they have takedowns and you can't ram the public cars off the road anymore without risk of totalling yourself.

I noticed that they had to put 2012 in the title so's not to confuse morons with the other one from 7 years ago but in all honesty to me this is still Most Wanted 2 despite its lacking number.

The game is not going to bomb.

The "Need For Speed" label is overdone, but EA seems to think the branding is worth something by throwing money at it, so whatever. All that matters at this point is content, which Criterion is providing in spades.

"Real" Burnout? I take it you're one of those retards that think Crash mode was God's gift to mankind, yeah? Revenge was terrible. So was Takedown. They are games that have not stood the test of time.

Paradise didn't sell itself as a racer in that vein and was sold as "open-world", which still hasn't been topped. It'll be interesting to see if this title comes close, but I doubt it. It'll still, however, pull in all the people that loved the last Criterion NFS entry on top of people who liked Paradise.

Bitch is going to make money.

@21 Saying Takedown & Revenge were terrible is just blasphemy. I guess that would make Burnouts 1&2 virtually unplayable, yeah? Takedown is considered by most to be the Holy Grail of arcade style racers with Revenge a close 2nd. Sure Paradise was a good game, but it lacked the pick up & play feel of it's predecessors, not to mention the absence of crash mode - which I like to call "digital crack" (but I too am one of those retards).

I will agree with you that this NFS will make $$$, probably more than recent entries for sure. However, a return to form for Burnout would surely sell more.

@#21 - Takedown is still far & away the best entry in the Burnout series. Revenge was excellent as well, and it has absolutely stood the test of time. I still go back & play it on occasion.

I also loved Paradise as well, so I'm not one of those people that will talk that game down, nor am I someone that will talk up Crash mode. I always found crash mode to be rather dull.

I hate how the top ten are listed by their cars and not their names...hopefully that's just for the achievements.

Im not one for crash mode, in fact it bores me to tears since Revenge, but I still have to agree that Takedown was by FAR the best Burnout, with Paradise as a close second. I will probably get this, maybe not day one, but its Criterion so it should still be at least decent.

I just don't understand why they havent made another Burnout. It's like EA enjoy wasting Criterion's time, trying to keep NFS afloat every other year after the Black Box NFS turns out to be predictably shite.
