Well, originally dated for August and eventually labeled as canceled, it looks like Wallace and more importantly the online multiplayer function may be coming after all. No price or release date has been announced by Ubisoft.

It must be coming pretty damn soon, cause the trophies have been up for a while on PS3T.org. If this drops around the same time as Phantom Breaker: Battleground then it looks like Ima have a dilemma on my hands. 2 great co-op beat'em ups, so little time.

The only reason I stopped playing this game was lack of online mp. Sat down at new years and played it with my friend who stopped playing it for the same reason since we live an hour apart now. Definately a day one for me, best arcade game i ever bought and was really hoping this would eventually get released.

I really, really hope the price has been reconsidered. $5 for a character and online that should already be there (given Knives and new multiplayer modes were only $2?) is simply too much for what it is.

Though, they could do like Crackdown or Doritos and have "Trial Version", where you get Online for free, but lose out on getting the achievements. That would always work as well.

@#12 - Why is it too late? It's not like anyone sold the game. It's there for people that care or actually still play the game since there's no reason not to if you liked it.

And honestly, I only want this for Wallace. Don't give a shit about the online.

@#13 - The online should be free, yes, but this is also for Wallace. And achievements. Hence costing money. And there already is MP.

Apparently, this will cost 400msp

I doubt this is true but if it is, then that is just ridiculous

Doritoes 'City Lights' is 160msp so I cannot imagine this being anything more than 200msp (he hopes)

@18 Online MP = Fuck off? Alot of better say "No online coop = Fuck off" im just curious to why people are acting this way when its been said that this game would had been alot better with online mp! Personally i cant wait for this, might go and finish up the game finally and the best part is i can do it with a friend.

Get a few friends and then you might realize why this would had been better with online mp

@20 because this should have been released 2 years ago with MP, not 2013 when the community that will play this DLC will be just for achievements and once those people have them they will be gone. The only community this will have is for the first week or two after release and then it will be people begging on forums for others to play with.

Loved this game and welcome an "excuse" to play through it again. Hopefully the servers will be jumping when this hits and the online achievements will be relatively easily gained. Looking forward to new character, new moves and maybe further content in future. Don't see this as a cash grab. They can have my money. Wish all my favourite XBLA games added more reasons to return, and I don't care how long afterward that is. Nice of them to still be in active development of this after so long. Thank you Ubisoft.

Really? Because when the Knives DLC was discounted a mere two or so months ago, I sure as hell still brought it, and I couldn't give a crap about the achievements.
I've never understood why people will go to such great lengths for that 100%. Games are made for fun, remember when we brought thing's purely because we enjoyed them?
P.S. Before the 'oh-so' predictable; "This is an achievement site, your opinion is stoopid in context to that."
No. No it isn't. I believe in a feature, Webb himself even said this has evolved far beyond a niche Achievement site. It's frankly become my favourite place for gaming news.

@28: I more take issue with the tired ole "play games for fun" argument you bring up. I agree that people shouldn't buy something they don't want to play, but I personally love buying something like this, going back to it, and cleaning up the completion. I play only for achievements, DLC included, and it's great fun.

I guess the big difference is I don't moan and whine like a baby about it like most people on here.

@28 It kinda falls on both sides for me. While I admit I am a completionist and try to get as many achievements from a game as I can, I believe achievements have somewhat ruined games. People now play certain games ONLY for achievements; companies now only add multiplayer not because they think people will enjoy it, but because they know people will play it for achievements. If games didn't have achievements I don't believe we would be seeing MP in games like Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raider. The side of me that plays games for fun has a pile of games I keep because i really enjoyed them and want to go back and play them (Assassin's Creed 2, Enslaved, Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania, etc.)...but I have such a huge stack of new unplayed games and games coming out it is hard to find time to go back to that old stack and play them for fun.

That being said, sure you bought the Knives DLC and played it a few months ago, it was single player though. The issue with this DLC is that so many people have forgotten about this great game that they will only get the new DLC for the new achievement and put it back down since they've already beat it 5+ times for all the previous achievements. At this point it doesn't have much of a lifespan after getting the new achievements and not sticking around after that. This is why I don't see much of a MP community after the first 2 weeks when EVERYONE that sees it is not 100% anymore will get it just for this last 50.

I'm not gonna really disagree with you, as the whole reason I chose a 360 over PS3 was the Achievements system. But I've always found it strange when people complain about returning to games they claim 'they didn't like', just because some DLC has made them lose their completion.
Seriously, imagine the uproar if Avatar suddenly added some DLC achievements...
@31
The multiplayer part is true. If online multiplayer had been in from the start, the achievement would make sense, but not anymore. It falls in to the same realm as the Gears of War 1 individual weapon achievements, where it more of hinders the multiplayer, not strengthens it.

Its funny how while I dispise MP cheevos and will now even actively consider a game on the merrits of added or canned MP as with the recent Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite, there are still games that can do it well.
Sure you could bring in the fact you play for fun however just like many of you I have quite the backlog so why would I bother myself with a game that has MP trophies/cheevos especially on the PS3 side of things where in order to get the platinum you are required to do the MP.
However funny enough this game is one of those games on the backlog and adding the MP might actually play this sooner then later with a buddy.

@32: I would probably have a stroke from laughing so hard if Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth suddenly received an achievement-laden DLC.

But, yeah. My main issue is the complaining. Do I truly wanna go back and play this game? Not really. Will I complain about it? Heck no. I don't HAVE to buy the DLC. I want to.

Complaining about something one WANTS to do is silly.

Even more reasons to play this great game. Its not so fun once all your characters are maxed out. It will be fun building another one up again. And while I'm not a big online multiplayer guy I'll still give it a shot playing a game I love so much.

Looks like the price being hiked to 400, Stills being a headswap of Scott and Stills and sprites stolen from Sonic Battle didn't go down too well.

http://www.destructoid.com/scott-pilgrim-dlc-has-last-minute...

"The downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the Scott Pilgrim franchise."

Wallace being a headswap I mean, of course. But to elaborate, his exit pose has him jumping into a tornado but the sprites are identical to one of Amy's attacks from Sonic Battle:
