All of them are the same from the PC version (but there is more). Those are fairly straightforward and less challenging to get... just time-consuming.

I have them all for the PC version and it took me over 50 hours or so.... but can be faster with co-op.

I am surprised that they picked these out of the PC achievements... it's as if they are trying to make it easier for the console players. If Valve did this (Orange Box has 99 achievements) then why can't they do it too? I personally think 45 achievements is way too low for a game like this.

Here they are for the PC version:

#1 Then why you said this? lmfao.

Anyway achievements list look okay and some look quite tough. Look forward Normal Mode in this game. Already preordered this game in since don't have game (wish preorder this game in Shopto over Amazon) :)

#5 it is not as tough as you think... as long you do it co-op with help and have better gear. I don't know if it is easier on the console though.

@2, are you saying you have all of the achievements for the PC release of Diablo III, or just the ones that are the equivalent for this list? If you have all of them how the hell did you manage to do that in just over fifty hours? I mean, the PC game requires you to run through the game no less than twenty times. Even if you managed to squeak by with an hour an act that's still 80 hours.

"Glorious!" ;)

Honestly can't wait for this, I've put 80+ hours into my Wizard, 50+ into my Barbarian (now my main character) and I have the others sitting around the 10-30 hour mark (two of each char, male / female, couple of HC characters) - I have to agree, the RMAH spoiled things a bit, but I still enjoy playing D3 every now and then, but playing this in 4 player local coop? My dreams have come true, haha. :D

@13 - it is a bit of a Marmite game, you'll either love it or hate it. Grinding for better loot to kill harder (and more numerous) monsters faster appeals to some people. There is nothing like the feeling of hearing "ching!" when a (decent) Legendary item drops, making you more powerful. Cleaving through normal with a level 60 character is fun at time too, everything just melts like butter in front of you, hehe. ;)

Try the demo on the PC, you can play for free up to level 10 I believe. The thing is, the console version looks like it plays slightly differently (actually, better) ie: dodge rolling, less loot drops but better stuff when it does drop, also more suited to your character. Same with player crafted items. Nephalem Glory (similar to PC Nephalem Valour) which boosts HP, XP, and gold / magic find (IIRC). Had the RMAH not have spoiled D3 online, I think there would have been a trading community like D2 back in the day.

Hopefully there will be a decent Xbox D3 community and duping hacking won't be too much of an issue!

@13 Nostalgia. People loved Diablo 2 and assumed Diablo 3 would be the exact same game. Basically it was, except they removed talents and distributing stat points so everyone whined. They also threw in gear checks to force you to either farm or use an Auction House. Ignore the people whining about the Real Money Auction House, because no one uses that except to buy gold.

Did they ever gut the achievement list.. They took the most basic achievements from the PC game.

You start off on Normal difficulty, then Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno. Each one is harder than the last. You can only unlock the next difficulty upon defeating the current one, which means harder enemies with new abilities, but also means better and more powerful loot - hence the appeal to farm champions, elites, rares, etc. to get the best gear. :)

People don't like Diablo because it's a game where you actually have to put time into completing it.

Todays games are all about completing them easily and quickly or just being about shoot everything and anything, whereas Diablo, similar to other RPG's, you actually have to put time into levelling, gearing, playing through each difficulty - this is why the majority of console gamers will moan about Diablo, you can't stick it on veteran and blast through it in a week.

I've been excited for Diablo for months since it was announced!

List looks like a typical RPG and I for one, cannot wait :D

Sounds like fun. I don't mind games where you need to loot and farm stuff. I blitzed Too Human when I had that, and loved it. Even though its totally different to Diablo 3, I will keep an eye out for this and likely pick it up. Multiple playa on a game like this won't be a problem for me.

Unreal that its actually coming out so soon, getting so hyped to waste some time playing a dumbed down version of what it could had been. But its still gonna be better then everything thats been released on the 360 until now (maybe not sacred 2, only time will tell)

So fucking excited

@27 - I got Torchlight on release, loved that game, but Diablo 3 will not be anything like it, Torchlight was a very small, short game, don't get me wrong, still put a lot of time into it even after completing all achievements - and as a stepping stone, it would be great to play before Diablo, but Diablo is on a larger scale, and co-op to boot, people just need to get that if Diablo 3 was simply Diablo 2 with fancy graphics, it would suck anyway and complain "wtf blizzard there's nothing new" I look forward to it, regardless of the reviews of Diablo 2 fanboys because they go out their way to look for flaws just to keep the image of their beloved Diablo 2 intact.

@18 No. I played Diablo II from launch until 2010. (Since I never wanted a PC good enough to play WoW, I was happy with D2 even if all my irl friends quit for WoW) But this game is shitty imo. They took away every good aspect of D2 and tried to modernize and simplify this game. Then again it was a whole new crew working on Diablo 3, and they had no idea what to do with it's genre. If you've never played a Diablo game then you might like it, but anyone who experienced the sheer awesomeness of D2 won't really enjoy it because they butchered it. Jay Wilson is a scumbag.

@22 Nostalgia? No...and it's nothing like Diablo II. So much is taken from it. You forgot runewords (which were a HUGE part of D2). 8 player games. Open world hostile pvp. They didn't even release as many classes as D2 had. For a game with such a long awaited sequel it was utter shit. If Blizzard was smart (which look where WoW has went) they would've called up David Brevik and the Schaffer brothers and tried their damnedest to reassemble Blizzard North and make D3 the right way with the right people.

@42/43 It's not an action game. You get to choose 6 abilities from a total of 20+ (well, on PC, probably same on console). You can change them any time you wish though you get a buff that gives you more gold and better loot if you don't change. So yes you may press X a lot if its your primary attack, but you'll press other buttons too. It's not like Ninja Gaiden or something though where you have combos.

Yes, it has 4 player local & online coop, or any combination of the two. No CE announced, and unlikely to be one, but you do get a reorder XP boosting helm, wearable from level 1. Inferno on the PC was toned down a bit as people complained it was impossible (which was the idea, grind for better gear in earlier acts to do Diablo on Inferno...)

I've noticed a lot of people moaning about D3 haven't played it recently, sure it is different to D2, and if it wasn't a sequel (or a Diablo game at all) people would be raving about it instead, IMO of course. As I've said before, try the PC demo, but note the console version will have new features on it, and no Auction House, etc.

Don't listen to all the hate, try it for yourself first. ;)

@46 I disagree as an overall statement. Better than other hack and slash games on consoles? Yeah probably. The genre hasn't been done overly well on console =/.

The story and writing are part of the problem. I won't post any spoilers but the story was horrible. The twist sucked. The dialogue is bad. The PC version still doesn't even have PvP. At least you console guys don't have to deal with BlizzGreed and the RMAH.

Some people in this section could use some help using google tbh

No collectors edition
4 player local/4 player online, can go online with 2 local chars (not sure if you can go online with 3 but it should work)

The game came out almost 2 years ago on pc so you can always check for info about the game.

Console got the item rewamp shit and the ability to dodge roll + some quick inventory equip stuff that will help in local games so its not menu looking 24/7.

There is also a 2h Penny arcade video up on youtube where they play 4 player local

@56 Apparently you don't know how to quote someone properly. He said the game came out "almost" two years ago not nearly. Anyway he is right. Almost two years ago is another way of saying that it came out less than two years ago. A little over a year is less than two.

My bad, got the words mixed up, still doesn't change the fact he's wrong. I buy a new car yesterday, does that make it 'almost' a year old? Surely with your logic it does, since yesterday is less than a full year. 'Almost' 2 years would come into affect in the 20-21 month area, not 15 months after. That's 'almost' a year and a half.

I think Blizzard will redeem this game on consoles. Looks like they managed to make it work great without a mouse and keyboard. And when a relatively old PC can run this game on max with no problem, it should run smooth as butter on PS4 and XBO. I'm double dipping and buying this game again. Will probably enjoy it 10x more lounging on the couch than hunched over a computer desk.

I am really pumped for this. I didn't play but for about 5 hours on PC, but from what I've seen of the changes they've made to accommodate a controller (evasive roll, for instance) it's the game I'm looking forward to most right now. I'm not comparing it to D1or D2, IMO, those are different games. I'm gonna evaluate this under the lens that it's a stand-alone, with some respectful nods to its spiritual predecessors.
