Leipzig: The City of Lost Luggage

The trip to Leipzig started yesterday for some of us, well for Minty it did, who after experiencing his first “soccer” atmosphere was feeling a little worse for wear, but nevertheless boarded the plane. The rest of us (Joe, Routine and I) just had to get up at some ungodly hour and travel across Europe which wasn’t too bad.
The first few minutes on German soil were quite disturbing for some of us, incredibly, 2 out of the 4 of us had their luggage “misplaced”. I don’t mean to gloat, but thank the gaming gods, it wasn’t me... I think Minty will feel my relief as well as he seemed to escape the curse of the Berlin Baggage handlers.
So if Joe and Routine didn’t have enough to worry about with Minty and I throwing a bit of abuse their way, the car trip certainly made things a little more interesting. Seriously, I kid you not, getting from Berlin to Leipzig and back to the small town of Halle is like running the gauntlet, blindfolded after 40 tequilas.
Anyway, that’s all by the by for now. We’re sat in the hotel, just about to hit the bar and “discuss” our game plan. So till tomorrow, I bid you all a good night. Forgive us if the news is slower than usual, we’re aiming to give you some pretty damn good Leipzig coverage and of course can’t do both at once. Check back tomorrow for how and what our coverage will consist of and we introduce you to a new staff member, Penny the Plushie.
