With the official announcement of the Assassin's Creed: Revelations Ancestors Multiplayer Character Pack, comes new screenshots showing the new assassins, in all their glorious regalia, with their own unique weapons and style.

The Ancestors pack adds four new characters to multiplayer, increasing your assassination options with The Privateer in his pirate gear, the bloodthirsty Gladiator with his gladitorial armour and gladius, The Brigand with her green robes and spear, and The Corsair, who packs a curved dagger and sports a red bandana on her head.

You can get a look at all four assassins in the new screens below, then look forward to adding them to the multiplayer roster in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, when the Ancestors Character Pack hits the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 13th for 320 Microsoft Points.

This should have already been in the game. Aside from that the price is good and the new characters seem cool.
However it would be nice if the game actually looked as good as the images though.

Bored of people banging on about DLC and how it should be in the game. They didn’t finish making the game on the 14th and brought it out on the 15th. It’s been finished for months. Just don’t buy it.

The bigger issue is what in god’s name is happening to our manuals? the 6 games I’ve bought in the last month bust have a collective manual of about 8 pages!
If its cheaper to ship a leaflet for a manual why arnt they games cheaper?

I'm actually having a lot of fun with the multiplayer in this.

To be honest, I probably won't play much after I hit level 20, but I'm level 10 now and still really enjoying it. I may look into some multiplayer DLC in the future, but with everything else I have to play right now (including the campaign for this) I don't think I'll get it when it comes out.

Sad to say i'm enjoying the multiplayer more than the singleplayer.Yes the story is good and Lute Ezio was by far the greatest thing in the story so far.But thats it Den defense is a bore, crafting bombs gets old and all of Desmond missions were a joke.

Am I the only one upset by this? Ubisoft did a wonderful and in my opinion very smart move by having the first 2 DLC items for Brotherhood be free before having a charged download pack (which was worth the price)now they go back to charging? and for 4 characters?? While I don't think the price is unreasonable and will most likely pick it up (unless the multiplayer completely tanks, haven't played it yet) I just think that its sad that Ubisoft fell back into this when they had such a good run DLC wise with Brotherhood

@3 Ubisoft just does that. Some other companies do as well, but Bethesda still has actual manuals, so do many others. It's just something that some devs have started doing.

As for DLC? At least Ubisoft had a TON of free stuff that came with the game, and 320 MSP for a map pack with new achievements doesn't rub me the wrong way. That is far more reasonable to me than Eidos selling a 5-hour DLC for 15 bucks (no matter how good it is).

Multiplayer skins/maps for a few hundred MSP is fairly common. For more achievements and if it helps keep AC:R going strong for awhile, I'm all for it.

I bought it but haven't been able to play it yet, still tearing it up in Skyrim. Anyway, how's the multiplayer on this one?

In regard to the manuals, common sense tells me that it's more cost effective and uses less resources to include an in-game tutorial or a link to a digital instruction manual.

Besides, does any truly need a manual for Assassin's Creed? All manuals do is tell you how to play the game, gives a little intro to the story and characters, and includes all the warnings and legal crap that no one pays attention to anyway. Every AC game's tutorial has been more than sufficient, and the story and characters speak for themselves. Again, do you really need a manual for Assassin's Creed or any other sequel? Really?

OT: The characters look cool, especially the elf, er, I mean brigand. I don't know if I'll DL this on day one, but I will eventually. Plus, it's cool to see that the characters are getting their own achievements. How often have we seen "no achievements, no purchase" posts on here for the DLC of other games?

this whole assassins creed series can sink in shit for all i care, shoudlnt take long for a game thats got 2 asses in it. every sequel lost its originality. And who needs a manual when basicly every game tells the story, and how to play in the prologue level...

@ 16 - Truer words have ...probably been spoken. I just like your version. HA!

@ 17 - You really have a lengthy read on "Here's your control scheme, paragraph of game description and 3 blank pages for unused 'notes'?"

@ 20 - A manual should be efficient if you don't know how to use something. If you don't understand the logistics of playing a video game by the first 10 minutes, a manual needs replacement with a catscan.

Either way, I'm a nostalgic gamer and even I have not looked at a manual in ages. It's not that I don't appreciate it...it's truly a waste of material. The basic information is practically in the intro sequence of EVERY game anyway so why waste paper on something that, let's face it, sits in that case after the first time you glance at it.

What's next? Manuals for XBLA titles? Gimmie a break.

thats funny "why do you need a manual, it only tells you how to play the game" its kind of important to know how to play the game! but yeah most of the info in manual is in the in game menu now anyway.

Love this, although I think it should have come with the game since it is released less than a month after the release, I really like just adding characters and at $1 for a character it is so worth it.

Wow this really looks great especially the Gladiator. But there is one thing I still need cleared up are these cities the same ones we played in as Altair in AC 1 just a few hundred years later as Ezio? Or what because it all looks very familiar. Plus the fact that the campaign takes u back to Masyaf and also one of the trailers Ezio is writing a letter to his sister and he mentions Acre which was in AC 1 can anyone clear this up for me?
