Ninja Gaiden 3
Ninja Gaiden 3 Gets a Release Date (in Japan)

Looks like Ninja Gaiden 3 has a release date. The blood-spewing ninja-em-up hits on March 22, according to the latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang).

In addition to this, the Japanese mag's release calendar is showing that the game will hit in two different flavours. As well as the bog-standard retail version, it looks like there will be a Collectors Edition too. No clue what the content of that edition might be though.

A bucket full of blood, maybe?

I wish I could be excited for this game, I loved NG Black and I still play NGII to this day. Unfortunately NG3 hasn't impressed in previews so far, has nothing to do with craterface Itagaki and if NG Sigma 2 on PS3 is anything to go by...well...all signs point to a sequel the fans will wish they never spent their money on.

I hope to god I am wrong.

Ninja Gaiden is my favorite hack and slash game of the last decade. I hope the 3rd will have those awesome cutscenes like the first one had, and were missing from part 2. I still prefer part 1, or black, over part 2, but lets just hope they wont mess up the gameplay

I am hoping this game will be a upgrade in the series and not a downgrade. I am hoping for the best!

I agree with #3. Now I really don't feel like buying this game which sucks because NG2 is one of my favorite games even though it was extremely tough. I guess i'll wait and see before buying this game.

The bonus things that come with the collectors edition is a demo of Dead or Alive 5, depending on the version you preordered, you get 2 playable characters if you preorder the special edition, if you preorder the collectors edition (the obviously more expensive edition), you get 4 playable characters for the DOA5 demo.
