Microsoft has announced that Kinect Sports: Season Two is getting some fresh DLC in the form of the Maple Lakes Golf Pack. It hits on Dec 20th for 400 MSP.

The content includes nine dynamic new holes for you to swing yourself around, taking in forts, marinas, causeways and coves. Each one has unique hidden routes and hole-in-one opportunities. Playable in all modes and including new achievements, the Maple Lakes Golf Pack also offers up a set of the challenges too.

The DLC is timed to launch alongside a title update for the game that adds "all new functionality" to multiplayer, including "Challenge Play email notifications and Facebook results posts through to video chat over Xbox Live matches."

That's not all either. Add-ons for Kinect Sports: Season 2 will be released every months until Spring 2012, with each release having some form of freeness thrown in. Next up is the Midnight Mountain Ski Pack, hitting in mid-Jan. Then after that, MS say to expect "additional challenges, features and even a whole new sport coming in the New Year!" Exclamation mark!

Check out the trailer for Maple Lakes below. There's some fresh new screens in the gallery too.

  • I'm getting this for christmas. (it was $15 at walmart on black friday) I'll decide when I figure how how good/bad the golf is. (I'm terrible at boxing/ping pong on the first game)
  • You can tell it's a real fuckin slow news day...
  • I was holding off on getting this, but now with this kind of support, I'll definately pick it up.
  • No thanks, I already have Wii Sports
  • Reading 2s comment I wondered why a nice comment would get thumbs down then I read the last couple of words, drugs are bad m'kay OT still gotta wait til Xmas for this game at least there will be some dlc waiting when I'm ready.
  • I like that the game is getting more content. I thought it was lacking content compared to the first title. I noticed in the article it mentioned more 'free' content will come as well. I hope this is true.
  • I would be willing to bet that the new sport coming to the game would be Hockey.
