Fallout 3 - Broken Steel
Fallout 3 - Operation: Anchorage
Fallout 3 - Mothership Zeta
Fallout: New Vegas - Old World Blues
Fallout: New Vegas - Honest Hearts
Fallout: New Vegas - Lonesome Road
Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money

Remember, if you miss out on this deal, or just fancy grabbing yourself some more bargains, there's another Xbox Live sale on now that runs until Jan 2nd.

I would have picked up Mothership Zeta if it was cheaper as that's the only one I haven't played from Fallout 3 (30 points short goddamn!).

For New Vegas waiting for the ultimate edition which is rumoured to retail at £20-25 will have all the DLC, gun packs and the full game - much better value if you can wait a couple of months.

@10 that list is not official. It was posted on some german website early this morning after the Fallout content started showing on people's dashboards. They "say" it's from Major Nelson, but who knows. Could be region specific too, just in Germany. Only time will tell if this "supposed list" is correct.

Or MS confirms it(Yeah right lol)

Wow, uh, if that Gears of War season pass goes on sale I'll be all over it. But the rest of that list is not really my cup of tea, I either own all of it or have no interest in one or two items.

I really hope thats not the list. In fact, as peolpe pointed out on Major Nelson, its missing the 23rd. It might be a fake.

Apologies in advance for the wall of text. But it really bugs me to see people think 'I am sooOooOooooo smart waiting over a year to get the game of the year, ha ha!'

Nobody 'fell' for some dlc trick. The Game of the Year edition didn't come out until a year after the game was out. And then it didn't fall into the 20 dollar price range at major retailers until earlier this year.

Its called depreciation. Look the word up. Stuff loses value over time. Fallout 3 is a great example. What was once four 10 dollar pieces of DLC and a 60 dollar game became a 40 dollar game and four 5 dollar pieces of DLC. Or however you want to slice it. 100 dollars worth of content became 60 dollars after a year. And then that 60 dollar goty edition became 30 bucks the year after (2010). Theres been multiple sales on the Fallout 3 DLC all the time, so theres a good chance plenty of people didn't even pay the 60+40 for the base game plus DLC. Bear with me, this is some rough math here, but I think it will suffice.

NV is 19.99 at most places new. Buying it + all dlc on this one day sale will cost you approx 19.99+26 or 27 dollars(4x400+320+160pts) making it *cheaper* than the Fallout 3 GOTY launched at by default. Even if New Vegas GOTY comes out at 39.99, you've actually only spent a few dollars more than that getting game+dlc right now.

I just... I really wish people wouldnt go 'Im no sucker Im waiting for the packaged bundle edition with everything!'. Because you yourself said you bought the Fallout 3 GOTY at 30 bucks (you should have only paid 20 tbh, you overpaid). Regular Fallout 3 is under 10 dollars now. Getting a sale on the Fallout 3 DLC makes it 9.99+15 (400x3). So numero uno, theres a fair chance that as long as someone didn't buy the game and DLC brand new at launch, that by getting a sale like this they're actually saving more money than the GOTY people. Numero duo, you fully one hundred percent are right in that its cheaper to wait and buy everything later on. But thats true of everything related, including the base game and DLC, not just the goty.

The only people who end up spending a lot are people who buy the game new at launch and then every bit of DLC the moment it comes out. But they're happy to do so and not 'falling' for anything. They get to play it long before we/you do.

@29 : My sentiments exactly.

Regarding the Gears 3 Season Pass, I kinda hope it doesn't go on sale. I know Epic have been ripping us all off since Gears 3's release, but IF the Season Pass goes on sale before all of the DLC it covers has been released, that's like releasing the GOTY Edition BEFORE all the DLC has been made available. Kinda counter-intuitive and a big FU to everyone who bought it on release, no?

Amen! Plus, people who hold out for GOTY/Ultimate editions run the risk of being disappointed, like what's happening with Mass Effect 2.

@29 - Your argument is completely flawed. DLC *DOES NOT* depreciate. Pretty much all of it remains the same price, then goes on sale *once in a while*. That's not depreciation either.

If DLC truly depreciated, it would decrease in price periodically over time just the same as video games do. But no, most full episode DLC (especially with Fallout and Oblivion) apparently stay the same price for as long as it exists, then goes on sale every 6 months.

It is much more of a bargain to save that money, even when it goes on sale, and buy the Ultimate Edition.

You're a sucker for thinking you're still getting a better deal. DLC doesn't depreciate.

You can still argue that you can find a game copy for $20, and buy the DLCs for $5 each during this sale. BUT, not all the DLCs are for sale, and if you waited this long for the game price to drop to $20, then you might as well give it another month or so for the Ultimate Edition that comes with ALL the DLC and bonus content.

Guess you haven't noticed that 'Recently Reduced' section of your dashboard for the past year. Or own a PS3 or use Steam. Go look up the regular cost of Fallout 3 DLC on Steam. 4.99. It used to be 7.99. Right now its on sale for 2.50. And gueeees what, its a GFW title, meaning the achievements go right to your gamertag.

Microsofts way of 'depreciating' DLC has been to put in on sale mutiple times. This is about the sixth time the Fallout 3 DLC has gone on sale over a two year period. If people haven't gotten the DLC on sale by now, they either a) haven't wanted it or b) Bought the GOTY. The only people without them are the ones buying a regular copy of Fallout 3 (on purpose, since the GOTY one is being offered at slightly higher) who were waiting for a sale or dont intend to get it at all.

Seriously though... theres a recently reduced section on your system that has been there for almost a year. Im not saying that Microsoft is the system leader in DLC depreciation, but its right. freaking. there.

Multiple^. And I totally calculated the cost of buying those two other non-sale New Vegas DLC's right there. Anyone getting New Vegas for Christmas at 19.99 (or even 9.99!) and who buys up all the DLC today still has a *really* good chance at getting a better deal than people waiting on the GOTY (It works out to around 46 or 47 dollars). Even if the price difference between the two are only a few bucks off in favour of one or the other, it also means you get it two months earlier.

Which is the whole reason people tend to buy DLC and games new in the first place. So while, sure, the GOTY is a great deal for great games that people may have missed out on or were specifically waiting for it to all be bundled into one package... you're certainly not more intelligent than anyone here who didn't and should feel bad for thinking so.

So the New Vegas Ultimate Edition will include all the DLC along with Couriers stash and Gun Runners aresenal along with some other perks. The only bad thing is the price will be 50 bucks right out of the gate. I may wait and buy the NVUE since I only paid 20 bucks for my used copy. I will just trade it in on the new game.

Not all of us want to wait a year and a half to play one of our most-anticipated games, however.
I greatly admire your patience, but I'll take playing the games (Not DLC, though) straight from release date over months of temptation and waiting. Plus it means I can talk to all my geek friends about the game ^_^. (Kind of sad, I know, but Skyrims become an easy conversation point between us -____-)
Also, weirdly enough, I always find the playthrough's with and without DLC really different... like, the DLC makes a totally different experience, and essentially doubles the gameplay time. Think that's just me though :L
OT: Snapped up Old world blues, been waiting for that to be on sale for a while. :)

I don't know why I'm replying to this, but wtf

@38 Some people who do not have the DLC by now could also means:
- They didn't have Gold and do not have access to some discounts because of that (like myself during the first and second time that Fallout DLC was on sale)

- They didn't have internet at all, so they don't even realize there's a sale open for everyone (granted, I won't be here if that was my case now, but it could happen)

Anyway, I bought Fallout used 4 - 5 months after release ($30), then I bought Broken Steel at full price (800 MSP) when I went to a friend's place who did have internet back then (I didn't have access to it because I was moving from my old house, long story), then I bought 2 DLC on Disc ($10) because I didn't have Xbox Live Gold (I already had internet at that time, but I just read the DLC was on sale 3 months before that, and didn't knew back then how often they put the same DLC on sale), finally I bought Mothershipt Zeta and Point Look out on DotW (400 MSP) even after I knew I was totally f..k up because there was a GOTY edition at $19.99, so I really paid a lot more than I would've if I was a little more experienced in this stuff and if I've waited for the GOTY edition like I for sure will with Fallout New Vegas, even if I've to wait 5 - 7 months after release to get that at $19.99 too

Having the DLC from Xbox Live is better. That way it can be recovered if anything goes wrong.

Just purchased Dead Money last week and paid full price.
Glad I waited longer, just purchased the remaining 3 DLC.

Hopefully there won't be any more collars, reminded me of the movie SAW.
