Great game, didn't know there was DLC. Def gonna check that out since the Xmas deals we're awful!Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:31 AM
@#2 Well considering it was only made by 7 people, I'd say so. I own a Steam and a XBL copy along with the soundtrackSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:32 AM
I admittedly waited for it to go on sale. Still, it's an ace little game.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:32 AM
i'm one in half a million ooshSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:35 AM
Looks pretty cool...any achievements?Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:39 AM
@#7 There are 12 achievements, 2 playthroughs needed A very easy 200GsSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:40 AM
Hmmm... I don't usually pick up arcade titles, but this looks awesome! Maybe I'll give Bastion a go in the near future.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:40 AM
Excellent game.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:46 AM
Wow, I would have sworn it hit that mark a while ago. Amazing game, definitely see it going way past the half million mark. I own the XBLA and Steam version, love it.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:50 AM
@7 LOLSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:52 AM
My personal game of the year.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 09:18 AM
Snagged the DLC, thanks for telling us! It didn't show up in new add on releases so just look for Bastion =] it's there under the extras. That is if you don't use the queue.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 09:36 AM
Just goes to show, like we've all been saying for years, if they (Micro$oft) lower the prices, then sales will go up! Take note Micro$oft, take note!Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:07 AM
Game is good, nothing special though.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:21 AM
I love when great games get great sales.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:21 AM
@2 pretty good, really good game for 600MSP.. although I don't think I would have got it tbh if it was still 1200MSP.. I completed the story really fast, and know I can complete the new game + really fast like in 90 minutes as I done everything on my first play without even going for extras really.. thats how easy it is.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:33 AM
this was the only good deal during the entire holiday season. I just wish I'd picked it up :(Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:34 AM
@18, well said. This is a good game but not worth 15 bucks (1200 msp) well worth the 7.50 though (600 msp).Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 10:53 AM
@14 - It did show up, but it quickly vanished under the glut of party game tracks that make finding proper DLC a right chore.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 11:43 AM
Best arcade game I've ever played, may even go to put it in my top ten games of all time.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 11:45 AM
@4 Not according to the credits. Believe me, I had to sit through them.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 12:00 PM
It was the only xbox sale worthwhile, that's why it was downloaded more than the other poor excuses of a saleSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 12:12 PM
#24 is right, it was the only "real" deal in 12 days. Shame on you M$ ! Just started the game, looks really promising !Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 12:15 PM
Checkin Out...Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 12:33 PM
This is one of the best arcade games I have played in a long long time. These guys have talent : )Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 12:51 PM
@24 Well at that point, we weren't aware of the rest of the days. We didn't even have the leaked list at that point :S If I'd had the foreknowledge of all these deals, I would have probably bit on it.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 01:00 PM
Amazing game.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 01:03 PM
Will trySaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 01:09 PM
I think they deserve more :OSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 01:39 PM
Great game, own it on pc howeverSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 01:48 PM
I missed this in the sale or I would have snapped it up. I'm not paying 1200 points though as I (like most of us) have sooooo many games on the back burner waiting to be played.......Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 02:01 PM
This was, by far, thes best Holiday Deal this year. I do love this game; I just wish there wasnt a guy commentating my every move.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 02:39 PM
glad i was one of them too!Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 02:40 PM
I'd have bought it if I hadn't missed it on Daily Deal. That is about the only day this year I haven't clocked in on x360a. Game has had great reviews from pretty much everyone who played it, so glad the sales are adding up.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 02:59 PM
I played it for a few hours then turned it off. The commentary guy was funny for the first five minutes , but after that he just made me want to self hurt. I can't see how it has received such praise. Pretty average IMO. Not sure if I will even bother finishing it.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 03:21 PM
this game deserves a sequal, i had an absolute blast playing it and would like to see what the developers could add to itSaturday, December 31, 2011 @ 04:59 PM
I got this for free as part of Xbox's "Summer of Arcade" on Facebook, great game, 10/10. Not much replay value in it though :/Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 05:38 PM
@37 looking at the games you have played. Clueless springs to mind.Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 05:40 PM
I guess I'm one of the few that thought this game was pure shit. Don't understand what all the fuss was about?Saturday, December 31, 2011 @ 08:07 PM
I wish I could switch off the commentary on the game. Its a good game. It's a simple game. Castle Crashers was a 10/10. Bastion is a 6.5/10.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 05:16 AM
Good game... Honestly, I figured this would have sold a half million during the summer. I mean, why do arcade games sell such less copies if, 1.) They're cheaper and 2.) there are over 20 million people on Xbox Live. People are missing some great games. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a steal @ 600 right now as well... Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys exploring every nook and cranny of a game. Also, can't wait for the inevitable, and eventual, sequel to Shadow Complex. I don't give a fuck, no XBLA game can touch Shadow Complex.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 07:07 AM
I only tried the demo and didn't like it, not sure why it gets all this love.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 07:55 AM
Funny story...I had a friend recommend me the music first...I loved the soundtrack and actually got it. I then found out this game was an RPG on both PC and Xbox360...I bought it on the 360 (bought it before the damned New Years Deal, bummer). Beat it....and loved it. Bastion Freaking rocks! If you love Action/Adventure/RPG's, then this is the game for you. Was worth all 1200MSP I spent on it. This game was incredible...to everyone else who's proud to be an owner of this game, I tip my hat to you as well. :)Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 08:25 AM
@41 Because you have no taste in games, clearly.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 10:26 AM
I need to pick up this game one day. It looks pretty goodSunday, January 01, 2012 @ 11:37 AM
Bastion was the only deal on the Xmas deals list. Even so, I still felt like the game is over hyped. It's "okay", not great, IMO.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 12:36 PM
this game is horrible wasted money on this crapSunday, January 01, 2012 @ 12:40 PM
Bastion is not just an amazing game, but the story was great. I love the way the story was presented--through extended narration. This fits well with a silent protagonist. The graphics--fantastic. The game play--original and refreshing--definitely has replay-value. And the music--one of my favorite aspects of Bastion. It's too good to pass up, in my opinion. If you don't have it yet, consider it. It is regularly-priced on XBLA now--I was lucky enough to get it when it was half off--but if you have a steam account it's 66% off for the original version. I personally bought the Soundtrack Edition--which is also 66% off. Those deals end in about 24 hours from now, so if you can go try out the demo. Just be wary if you look up game play or trailers on YouTube, etc. A lot of comments contain spoilers--obviously. >.> Bastion is a beautiful title. Supergiant Games really outdid themselves. With that many awards achieved and THAT many copies sold... What more can an indie developer ask for? =] I'm content owning a copy for XBLA and for Steam. I can't wait to hear news on their next title.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 02:40 PM
Great game, the kid deserved it.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 03:00 PM
Looks a lot like Habbo Hotel. Could be fun...Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 07:37 PM
All time favourite Arcade game, loved this more than Limbo!Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 08:06 PM
Bastion sounds sexy and looks sexy but plays kinda mehSunday, January 01, 2012 @ 08:29 PM
I liked this game but it was way too short. For 600 points its a good game to get but I would have liked more content. I enjoyed From Dust more...Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 09:24 PM
I bought it on the 12 days sale. Great game, glad I grabbed it.Sunday, January 01, 2012 @ 09:50 PM
Yes it is awesome XBLA game and easy 1000GSunday, January 01, 2012 @ 09:51 PM
Sorry above my comment, my mistake 1000G is not so it is 200G. Silly me lmaoSunday, January 01, 2012 @ 11:20 PM

I sincerely regret not picking this up on Day 1 of the 12 Days...now I'll have to wait for Microsoft to put it on sale again...which they will since they seem to always reuse deals.Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 12:45 PM
Hate the commentary throughout the game the narrators voice is so bloody annoying! :-)Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 03:24 PM
Sweet, I bet the recent award and xmas sale helped them. I wish I had points back then, now I do but the game is 1200 again. :/Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 05:35 PM
See, as I stated in the other Christmas deal day posts, every other day besides Bastion was a complete and utter waste. The Bastion deal gave it more exposure and thus people bought it and helped elevate this gem higher. Then they waste 2 days to fighting games, why not 1? And AWFUL, cheapskate CoD deals were a waste of a day aswell. They should have put obscure, highly reviewed arcade games as the focal point for this years deals, instead of the greedy cashgrabs every single day besides Bastion was.Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 05:47 PM
well done to the Bastion team, very well deserved!Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 06:30 PM
Almost done with my second playthrough now. Easily one of the best arcade games I have ever played, if not THE best. Not often a downloadable/small title like this gives me goosebumps.Monday, January 02, 2012 @ 06:32 PM
boring gameTuesday, January 03, 2012 @ 04:16 PM
I still need to get this, didn't get it on sale :'(Tuesday, January 03, 2012 @ 08:10 PM
This game is an excellent platformer and should get all the recognition it is getting

Indie developer Supergiant Games has no doubt been breaking out the bubbly this week, and not just because it's New Year's eve. Bastion has managed to surpass the 500,000 downloads milestone, which means great things for the fledgling developer.
"Recent holiday sales on Steam and Xbox LIVE Arcade put us over the top. We’re happy to have this many people playing and to be in a position to make more games on our own terms,' read the celebratory post on Supergiant Games' site. "When we set out to make Bastion, a sales number like that seemed astronomical to us, so it feels great to have hit that mark."
Bastion also scooped a whole host of awards and accolades, making it one of the most successful XBLA games this year, which incidentally also has some 'Stranger's Dream' DLC now available to grab for a mere 80 Microsoft Points. But how did it fare in our Game of the Year Awards, you ask? Go and take a look now!
