Is 'Sleeping Dogs' the Next Kane & Lynch Title?

Square Enix has registered a new 'Sleeping Dogs' trademark, which has been uncovered by NeoGAF, and points to a possible Kane & Lynch sequel on the cards. Of course, for now this is all rumour and speculation as per usual, but there appears to be some sound reasoning behind why it could potentially be hinting at Kane & Lynch 3.
First of all, there's the (admittedly rather tenuous) 'dogs' connection, what with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, then there's a spied job posting looking for a Senior Multiplayer Programmer, who'd be tasked to work with "...multiplayer technology [that] lays the foundation for an as yet unannounced 3rd person game with strong cooperative multiplayer elements."
IO Interactive is currently working on Hitman Absolution, but with a Kane & Lynch movie starring Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx in the pipeline for 2013, it would make a lot of sense for Square Enix to capitalise on the movie buzz once IO has finished with Agent 47's latest outing.
More Kane & Lynch then, anyone?
